Thank Jupiter! Saturn returns direct!
As I write this, Saturn is stationary in Leo and will start moving directly again sometime tomorrow. I thought it might be a good time to start exploring the lessons this first retrograde period has given us.
For me the last several weeks have been really interesting because retrograde Saturn has been making an applying conjunction to the focal planet of my natal t-square: my Sun. Saturn began applying back in the middle of January. With it stationary-direct, it is now a separating conjunction that will finish its work with restructuring the energy of my t-square and how the public reacts to it by the end of May.
I have been battling a case of dry mouth, causes unknown, since March 22. It hits especially hard at night when my mouth/throat becomes worse than the Death Valley, causing me to wake up several times during the night to moisturize my oral cavity. This for a person who really needs her eight hours of sleep... :x grrr!
In stationary mode, transiting Saturn has also returned to being an applying aspect for trining my ASC as well as an applying aspect for conjuncting natal Uranus. Since Uranus is weakly conjunct my Sun, it will be interesting to see how many A-HAs will come forth from the underbelly of transiting Saturn (sort of the Uranus side of Saturn) and how that comes out through the "me" I put into the world.
Saturn clears Uranus shortly after my birthday in August while Saturn becomes an applying trine to my Moon-Saturn conjunction.
Sigh...

I have the same T square focal point (I think) with my stellium in Leo and the Moon and Uranus in Taurus and Scoprio. But I won't be having a better time with Saturn leaving Leo because as soon as moves to Virgo, I'll be having my first Saturn return. This will be happening with the transiting NN opposite my natal NN wich is also in Virgo.
Great times are ahead of me, huh? *Shudders*

Ah, Saturn is in a T square in my chart as well, and still transiting in my 12th house. The sooner it will get out of the 12th the better, but then it will transit on my Sun/Venus/Ascendant.......no comment.

Saturn has been in conjunction with my chart ruler, Uranus, at 6 Leo 36 in my 6th house. This has been very interesting as I've dealt with the feeling of restriction buy re-engaging myself in astrology over this period and have sought to express that through service and finding a way to wholistically tie this into my emerging spirtual worldview. With natal Saturn in Sag and conjuct my midheaven, I've "gone public" with much of this new gnostic way of framing myself.
This has been very challenging to my old ways of being and to my heritage (Cancer rules my 6th house). I've had to find ways to forgive myself and my ancestors for not knowing what we didn't know. There is much guilt attached to this as well as resentment for the cosmic trickery if you will. With Neptune on ascendant for the past couple of years and Pluto on my Sun, I'm sure this has all been part of this worldview revision I've gone through.
Shortly Saturn will be moving across my descendant and on it's way to fuller expression over the horizon. This in concert with further work as Chiron is still at it's return point providing the key to the Gnosis I continue to discover and share.

I have had the same problem nights for several years and now sleep with a glass of water by the bedside table. You mentioned thyroid problems in the horary thread. A Mercury-Venus in Taurus close square Pluto in Leo, I was diagnosed with the same a few months back, although I still insist it's the lump in my throat that never sees the light of day! The diagnosis coincided with transiting Saturn's exact square to Mercury.
I have long wondered if the lack of saliva has anything to do with the general lack of water in my chart. Fluid is associated with Moon and emotions and mine is in the 5th house in Capricorn in a wide applying opposition to my only water planet, Mars in Cancer. Neptune is in an air sign and square Saturn in Gemini to boot. Moon is part of an Earth grand trine. Only Jupiter in Leo in the 12th is in a water house.
In all respects too rational in allowing an emotional temperament to take precedence :?:

Frisiangal,
My dentist also suggested that I should have water beside my bed, as well as using some dental products for dry mouth.
I never considered it could be a lack of water in my chart (I'm heavy Fire and Earth with two planets in water and one in Air). In Polarity Therapy, saliva is the Water element impacted by the Ether element. This element deals with the creation of space and the interconnectedness between everything. If I am feeling trapped and unconnected, it could lessen the amount of saliva my glands produce.
It could also be a reaction on the Fire-Earth elements with transiting Saturn in Leo. Since saliva is the first of the digestive juices to come in contact with food, the lack of saliva mixing with food means that more gastric juices are necessary to process (in turn kicking up GERD).
With transiting Saturn bouncing between my Sun and Uranus in the 8th, it also has been contacting my 11th house Neptune in Scorpio and my 5th house Taurus Mars of my t-square. On March 22, Saturn was a little more than one degree away from being exactly conjunct my Sun. It was exactly one degree away from my Sun during its stationary period.
Hmm...some food for thought that I can salivate over. Thanks for your input, Frisiangal!

Are you familiar with health astrology ?....my passion, although I couldn't learn the the physiology and anatomy of the body sufficiently, required to perfect it. It teaches that the digestion of food is psychosomatic to the digestion of external impressions. Just as our body assimilates what is good and bad for it through the digestive system, finally excreting that which is of no value, so we need to assimilate and digest our Moon impressions, via our feelings, in the same way. If Mars, also associated with the teeth, in Taurus (the mouth) chews the cud sufficiently to extract its valuable physical content, Neptune In Scorpio is finally excreting that which is emotinally valueless. A 'dry' Moon could find difficulty producing the fluid necessary to make digestion easier?
I thought I had analysed, assimilated and digested events in my life very well. Obviously not

Saturn is currently widely inconjunct my natal Saturn in Pisces. When Saturn turned direct on Saturday, I tripped and landed hard on my right knee. Hurt like hell, but no biggie. Today... I can barely walk. I look silly, limping about the way I am, and I'm in a lot of pain!
Ever since Saturn went into Leo, I've had issues with bones and teeth and the last time Saturn was in Leo I broke my left hand and had to have surgery to remove bone chips - twice! I didn't think of the connection until this morning, reading this thread.
In 1977 Saturn was at 25 Leo the weekend I broke my hand - inconjunct my Sun @ 25 Pisces.
