Solar return focus in the 10th, 11th and 5th?

Hi

I've been trying to learn about my SR for this year.

It looks like a focus on career, and maybe romance/love/children?

SR ascendant is Taurus, this falls just within the cusp of the 5th house. Could this show a focus on romance, creativity this year?

SR Sun, Mars, Jupiter all in the SR 10th. Cusp of 10th also cardinal. This looks like a huge focus on my career this year. This is funny as I work in an office but qualified as a massage therapist last summer, and also doing a thai massage course. I had a client, a person I did case studies on call me just before my birthday to arrange a massage. Its the first one I've done in half a year. She is suggesting all sorts of ways she can help me advertise my services in her office and recommend me.

SR Moon is also in the 6th house, could show a change in career, maybe to do with health? Not sure what that conjunct SR Saturn means though... problem with health or stabilising career/work/health?

SR ascendant is Venus. My natal 5th house ruler is Taurus/Venus. I also have progressed Venus conjunct my natal ascendant ruler Jupiter now. These will be conjuncted by transiting Uranus this Spring. I am wondering if this shows a romance?

SR Venus trines natal Saturn (Saturn is in my 7th house natally). I don't know what this shows. Makes me think of some sort of relationship with that lonley 7th house Saturn. It also squares natal Neptune.

SR Mercury is retrograde, when it goes direct again I'll have a Mercury return. Merc rules my natal 7th and 9th house.

SR Mars is opposite natal Saturn. SR Mars is in the 10th house. Could this show a conflict to do with career and the 7th house Saturn?

There is a focus on the outward things though with loads of planets in the 10th and 11th houses.

I'd really appreciate if anyone can point out am I going in the right direction with this chart?

I have learned that it helps to use key words ie 10th house career plus jupiter /expansion Sun/ego..mars/assertiveness..trine Saturn stabilization.
Moon and saturn usually indicate some dampening of emotional response. Since the moon rules your 4th and is in opposition to Uranus and Venus a loved ones health might be a concern. This might come about unexpectedly.
Your gut is correct...what happens around your birthday is a taste of the energy available to you for the year.
Since the sun occupies a succedent house most of the activity for the year will begin in the second quarter of the solar year.
..check your progressions and solar arc to look for similar themes....

On the romance end ...your fifth is rising so fifth and 11th is focus. The ruler of the fifth, the sun, is in your 10th and trine to the moon indicating harmonious male/female relationships or balance of yin/yang energy. Mars and venus in sextile shows similar...Since the focus seems 10th and fifth you may meet someone through your work or the health care industry.

Wow thanks very much Cassandra, I was thinking that no one would reply! I need to have a look later at the charts again as I'm at work and I'm sure they wonder what these funny circular things with the symbols are that I look at are!

It sounds interesting though, and SR for 2010 has a new moon!

I think I understand how that Lunar/Saturn and Venus/Uranus can come about. Is it that the opposition beings the things that are opposite (Ven/Uran) into focus, like looking in a mirror?

Thats fascinating what you said about things happening around the birthday. I put aside my ideas of being a massage therapist, almost giving up on them last year. But since I had that phone call from the client, its becoming more of a reality!

When checking the progressions, do I need to compare the progressed chart to the solar return? Perhaps looking to the progressed Moon as a trigger to events?

No, you look for similar themes such as venus=love or romance or fifth house activation...fifth or 11th or rulers of those houses being active by progression.

I think I get it. Thank you so much Cassandra! So natal ruler of 5th/Venus is conjunct Jupiter/ascendant ruler both by progression, prog Venus is conjunct prog Jupiter at 23 and 24 degree Pisces. An activation might be from transiting Uranus or Mars?

Bingo! Activation would or might be the sun or mars generally....the slower planets might augment it and also tell us more. Ie uranus..sudden ie like lightening

I really love how you make your own analysis so accurate ! I would like to do so but I have forgotten my Astrology´s books in France and I can not make my own forecast for this year...

I passed my birthday in Céret (66), France.
I´ve got my Solar return in the 11th House that emphasizes these fields (friendship, plans and future). I managed myself to have in this Solar return a SR ascendant in Pisces conjunction natal Venus (if I would have passed my birthday in León, Spain, SR ascendant would be in Aquarius and I didn´t want it because of its bad aspects to my natal Saturn): the cuspid of the SR ascendant falls in the natal 10th House (can I expect to find love and pleasures in my future job? maybe...) and the cuspid of the SR mc falls in the natal 6th House (major events concerning my pets (I have a black cat) and my health too?)...I have posted my SR and natal Chart in my personal space if you are interested to help me in my investigation lol. I would be very grateful !!!

I haven´t seen that your Solar return have taken effect the day when Venus meets Uranus in opposition with the Moon and Saturn, all these planets in the health´s area !!! do you suffer from sleeplessness ??

Thanks, I'm just going by what I tried to learn on the internet, and guess work.

I'm not sure what that Venus conjunct Uranus means, opp Saturn conjunct Moon. I've got a lot of energy, so I started jogging, gave up smoking (though that is wavering) nearly a week ago. I've got a plan to build up to better health in all areas.

I may as well update so far on this SR. I got a job offer today, which I took. I wonder if that is the angular Sun in the 10th house... Angular planets mean things happen quickly. Moon in trine to Sun, great. Moon trine Juno, no idea... Venus sextile Mars, both in their own exhaltation, no clue, no romance though for me so far.. well since my bd, had one kiss

Hi

I thought I'd update this as the year progressed through the solar return.

Saturn in the 6th - my health has been quite bad this year, I've made so many trips to the doctor, been refered here and there to hospital. Now I have another health issue which I've been referred to hospital for.

This 6th Saturn is conjunct the Moon - all these health issues do affect me emotionally, or maybe its the other way around... Saturn is conjuncting the Moon so the emotions are getting a hint of Saturn, maybe the negative side of Saturn - worrying about health (6th). Either way my health has been adversley affected.

I'm thinking maybe the transiting Sun in Gemini being in square to this duo has set off this latest health issue... as the Sun rules the heart and could set off the SR configurations. Moon rules the breasts and that is where this issue has manifested - though I've been told its safe, probably a cyst.

Transiting Sun is setting off a t-square with the Saturn/Uranus opposition, this health issue came on suddenly, and hopefully will be healed suddenly.

On a positive, these health issues have made me determined to sort out my health, eating healthy, thinking healthy and living healthy.

As for work well its been low paid drudgery and lots of responsibility, and when I try to shirk this responsibility the superiors are not happy... with not much oppertunities. This has made me think very carefully about the career that I want to move into, and take the appropriate action and courses - metaphysical and therapeutic profession as opposed to the office I find myself in currently.

On another positive, there is a very dishy guy that I've noticed at work, they even moved him up to the same floor as me, so I hear his voice everyday... mmm very nice

Yes, keep us posted. That opposition in your 6/12 houses does not look very happy for health. Oddly enough your solar moon is conjunct my natal moon and I started having some health issues lately.

Oh sorry to hear that, could that be the Saturn transit to conjunct your natal Moon, and with transiting Sun now squaring that? I hope your health issues clear up soon.

Funnily enough in my Venus return the Moon is conjunct Saturn too, but in the solar 3rd house.

The 6th house cusp of this Solar return falls in my natal 9th house, so I'll be careful if I go abroad and hope that I stay clear of any foreign bugs. Taking echinachea to keep boost the immune system, as well as healthy eating and plenty of rest.
