Will this turn out to be long term relation?

I have met a guy online today and felt good chatting with him. We liked each other and decided to meet up in couple of weeks to see something works out. I am recently out of a painful relationship and kind of both apprehensive and keen to start another one. I know it is not ideal, but as one way of getting fully over the grief of breakup.

Anyhow, my question is - will this turn out to be some thing good for long term relationship? (I am not up for short flings).

I am Venus, exalted in Pisces in 5H
He is Mars, in 3H exalted in Capricorn
Moon is exalted in Cancer in 9H

There is an applying trine from Venus to Mars. Does that mean a simple Yes?

I am curious about Moon on angle (MC) and Sun as well (IC) - in exact opposition. What does that mean?

BTW, I will have to go to my home country to meet him which I have been deliberating for quite some time as once I go home I cannot come back into this country.

Re: Will this turn out to be long term relation?

The Moon isn't exalted in Cancer; it's in its own sign.

The aspect between Mars and Venus is an applying sextile, not trine. They're not the same thing! Sextiles are weaker.

The applying Full Moon is not encouraging. It suggests that the Mars person has just left some sort of crisis situation, something stressful (Moon separating from Mars) but that the crisis isn't over with (Moon opposed Sun); this can also describe recent events in your own life, but indicate that you are still being pulled in different direction. Full Moons are not happy aspects, usually.

In short, I think the prospects for this are likely to be a short-term 'fling' rather than anything enduring. Venus placed in the 5th emphasises romance rather than a long-term thing, especially with the applying Mars/Venus aspect being a sextile rather than the more optimistic trine (and Venus/Mars perfect with an aspect to Saturn). The Moon is in a stressful aspect, maybe indicating that your emotions are pulling you in a direction that may not serve you.

I agree with you ... i got a few pointers on my own on this chart
Venus is in 5th house indicating that a person feeling romantic
the other person in question is in disadvantage
1. combust
2. cadent house
3. exalt in his own sign - to me that shows a bit of arrogance or he is jumping over his head ...
4. nothing in fixed sign which shows no permaency.
It would have been great if we had something in fixed sign.
And YES Full/New Moon charts are almost always bad news
Cheers

Re: Will this turn out to be long term relation?

Hmmm... I thought I was jumping the gun, not him. We have not even met yet except for speaking few times. I do not know him too well but he sounded positive this will click if we meet.

I know this is premature but since both of us are hooked to astro, I asked him about his birth details. His Sun is Conj my Moon and falls on my 5H, my Sun on his 7H. My DC is in Aqua and he had a 11H stellium in Aqua. So I wondered if this will lead to something long-term.

BTW, he is heading a country division in one of the global majors and that's one thing I admired. Can't blame him if he is feeling sure and superior about himself.

Ohh, My God. Again a self-centred and arrogant guy? Can I take more of it? Guess not.

Moon Opp Mars and Sun - may not be about the Mars person but it might be suggesting my position right now.
