I have here the "Complete handbook of Astrology" by author Marshall Cavendish. In this book it talkes about herbs, parts of the body, possible disorders, associated objects, beneficial foods, perfume, color, gemstone, and metals that are associated with each sign.

Aires:

Herbs - anemone, basil, briony, chillies, coriander, crow's foot, flax-weed, garden cress, garlic, ginger, honeysuckle, mustard, onions, peppers, tobacco, and thorny trees.

Body parts - Head, eyes, face, muscles, pineal gland.

Possible disorders - accidents, acne, brain disorders, burns, fainting, headaches, head injuries, inflammation, neuralgia, stress, swellings, sunstroke.

Beneficial foods - rhubarb, tomatoes.

Perfume - Dragon's blood

Color - red

Gem Stone - Garnet

Metal - Iron

Objects - Cars, fires(not nessesarily an object but... ok), knives, machinery, motor cycles, tools, weapons.

Taurus:

Body Parts - arms, hands, fingers, shoulders, upperibs, lungs, broncial tracts, trachea, thymus gland, nervous system.

Possible Disorders - asthma, accidents to the upperbody especially the collarbone, bronchitis, pneumonia, nervous exaustion.

Benificial foods - lettuce, cauliflower.

Perfume - Wormwood

Color - yellow

Gemstone - agate

Metal - Mercury

Objects - address books, filofax, computer(I would think this would be an aquarian thing due to the electricity, which is in tune so to speak with aquarian energy), magazines, newspapers, radio, telephone, television, word processer.

Cancer:

Herbs and plants - cabbage, cardamine, chick weed, flax, lettuce, maple, mushroom, olive, pumpkin, saxifrage, turnip, water violet, white rose.

He may be basing his herbalism on Nicholas Culpepper, Complete Herbal, first published in 1653. Medical astrology is a pretty well developed field.
