Guess the Rising Sign?:]

Whether someone is extroverted or laid back doesn't change the plausibility of sign.

My vote for him is Scorpio with Pisces decanate. Scorpio giving a general 'darkness', and Pisces the softening of that, as he doesn't look as penetrating as the typical Scorpio rising. A second guess would be Libra. I can definitely see the Taurus.

I see very shy yet plain, but somehow I dont see any "darkness" that would indicate a scorp AC. Does he have squares to his AC, I ask because he seems very insecure somehow. My first guess would be a cancer AC, 2nd would be pisces, third would be virgo, a distand 4th would be libra because I dont know what else it would be.

Hm.. I'm really thinking Virgo, or Libra, he really has the body type of these rising signs. Whichever ascendant it is, I think now, would be a soft one.

You and I saw much of the same thing, RA.

My first thought was "Taurus". (I hadn't read his Sun sign yet.) Then I decided his neck wasn't as thick as I tend to associate with Taurus rising. Then I noticed his face is pretty round. So I vote for Cancer rising or Libra, with Moon conjunct Asc. But I also saw a Pisces flavor, as I noticed that for some reason, his eyes put me in mind of my youngest daughter. She has Pisces rising. The Taurus Sun is definitely strong, though.

One other thought, I know 2 men with Moon conjunct Asc. Both are very outgoing and express their feelings freely.

Yes I agree, but I am wondering if he has a taurus AC, but he doesn't have that radiant aura that any man/woman with a sun in the first would have.

I still say cancer, virgo, pisces, or libra (guesses in that order, I switched pisces and virgo not because of what you said but just thought about it some more, also the insecurity may be moon in the first house because it may be in virgo,moon in the 1st has a "reflective" self-image)

Well he has Jupiter in Leo, and Saturn in Aquarius. So that may square his Ascendant is in Scorpio.

Maybe it's easier if we consider what they are definitely NOT and etc?

Definitely NOT:
Aries - I don't see the intensity
Leo - Something usually significant about the hair, or presence, which I don't really see
Sagittarius - Again lacking the presence
Capricorn - Nose doesn't look Capricorn like or face isn't very slim or bony
Aquarius - Just don't see it

Maybe, but doubtfully:
Gemini - Fits the youthful look, but not as skinny or 'social' as I'd think
Pisces - Possibly, but I think he would look rounder with Pisces as sole ascendant ruler
Scorpio - At first I thought, but then I think, he lacks the typical Scorpio intensity in the eyes

Could Be:
Cancer - The maternal soft look
Taurus - Explains why Taurus is strong in his appearance
Libra - Body type, soft look and balanced features
Virgo - Probably my biggest vote, has the body type, "clean" features, youthful look but not overly, and goes with the 'shy' look too

Really? well I still dont see it. I still think he looks like a cancer or virgo AC, and when I said squares to the AC I was thinking saturn square it (I have that one too).

I'll be the only one that says Cancer. Although I would have like to see him smile. The soft brow kinda makes me think this, plus mars in cancer on the ascendant just seems to fit. Does he have nice teeth?

Although, the shape of his nose together with the elongated appearance of his face from the lower lid to upper lip might suggest scorpio, this together with that stare actually makes sense.

NO, the smooth brow with straight teeth and dark eyes is common amoungst cancerian risings as well as cancerian suns.

However, I'll actually maintain that he is a scorpio rising. Scorpio rising have the scorpio stare like the scorpio sun. The small kink in his nose is also typical of scorpio rather than cancer (see the last photo in your first post). But once again the width of his face is more cancer than scorp. If scorp is on the ascendant then mars will most probably be in the eighth/house of scorpio. That might be where he gets his glare.

You know what, a basic personality profile might help. Example: serious, loud, intense, frivolous etc... How do you and most people see him?

Mmm. Well this is going to be hard, because he kinda had a little bit of everything in him.
Well when I first met him, he appeared:
Laid-back
Serious
Observant
He isn't ALWAYS loud. But he would around friends or people he knew. I guess he's pretty talkative. And he's friendly around others and he isn't shy around people he meets, so...
I think he's very much a family person, too.
I know that he's really private. He keeps his life problems and such only to himself. He is critical, I guess. He'll talk smack about people. Sharp-tongued? I think so. I think he has a lot to him, he just hides everything.
He even kinda intimidated me when I first met him. He was just someone I wanted to be accepted by.
Can't Decans play a roll in physical appearance as well?
Maybe a Scorpio Rising with Cancer Decan, or a Cancer Rising with Scorpio Decan.

About the part of him not being an Aries...I'm an Aries rising, in the Sagittarius decante, and I don't think I have an intense look in my eyes. Then again, people have told me I sort of walk with my head set forward and always have a "mean" look to me, even tho I'm never mean and it's unintentional. See if you can see Aries in my eyes, (or Mars I should say) and if not, perhaps then we cannot rule out Aries as the rising sign. My guess would be a water sign, more likely pisces than cancer or scorpio. The bad thing is, we'll never know unless we learn of his TOB.

I would definatly go with a water rising sign he has a soft look to his face which is quite watery...I reckon cancer or pisces...Also if he is more confident around those he already knows that sounds quite cancerian...

I'll go with Pisces. He looks watery, and rather shy and mellow. I think Pisces corresponds to those characteristics more so than the other water signs.

Hmm...well I'll take that as a compliment, ad I'm glad I have those features. And you're right about the air part, I'm sure my name helps too haha. I've been told I look like an aquarius too tho so maybe you were on to something. I guess I personally just can't see Aries in myself but then again, people can see things about you that you cannot yourself.

Each ascendant is broken down into 3 decans (I think the same applies to sun signs) say for me mine is Aries, and it would broken down into the decans of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, according to the degrees. I'm not sure of the exact numbers but mine is in 27 degrees Aries, so it would be in the decan of Sagittarius, which I believe gives a longer face, and "brighter" eyes. I'm no expert on this but it does make sense.
