Solar Arcs...?

I've been watching my SA Mercury, and it's about to exactly conjunct Venus, using 1 degree orb.

Do I interpret like....Whatever houses Mercury rules will get a Venus flavor? Or all 4 houses they rule?
They represent internal changes, correct? So the way I interp. would be different than if Merc was just in transit?

Mercury represents your communication processes and how you relate on a general level. When S.A. Mercury comes into contact with Venus, your Mercury could represent someone/ something in your immediate environment who/which is going to activate whatever Venus and its aspects mean in your chart. It could be anything from a meeting/ conversation/message centred around Venusian things, ranging from a chance meeting, costly purchase, to singing at the local club. The effect will be felt in the house the conjunction takes place and involve the houses each planet rules. S.A.planets all move at the same rate, so any aspect Mercury makes in the natal chart is also part of the S.A. aspect. The idea is that you go through a period of thinking about and relating to what the pleasures of life mean to you.....and at possibly what cost. You'll probably find that there are other S.A. progressions going on that relate to the Mercury-Venus conjunction.

Last year, Sec. Progr. Venus ( day for a year) finally reached my 11th house Mars. Ureka, I thought, .....the love of my life would present himself. It actually turned out that I became an active committee member of the gardening club I belong to, and took over the cash-flow control.

Thanks for the help!!

Okay...Second question...I just learned about Declinations...And they are very accurate I think. For example, it explains where I got my singing talent(Mars conj. Venus by dec.) when no other factors were showing.

Rambling here...So do you think with SA Mercury conj. Venus, I should also think about Mars as well??
Mars is the strongest planet (Cap, 1st)...he's always activated by transit when a significant event occurs(usually a good one).

OH And...You said it will be felt in the house the conjunction takes place...You mean the natal house cusps, or the SA house?
I'm assuming the natal house right?

Can't help there; Sorry. Declinations are gaining importance but I haven't personally ever studied their effects.

What would be the connection unless natal Mars is also undergoing a S.A. aspect at the same time? Just as if the Sun isn't aspected, your 'heart' won't be in whatever it is.

Re: your following post. As mentioned previously, the S.A aspect effects the house that natal Venus is in, but will also involve the houses that Mercury and Venus rule. There used to be a 'rule' that it depended upon which sign was stronger in the natal chart whether Gemini or Virgo was used for Mercury, and Taurus/Libra for Venus. In practise, all four seem to have input. Gemini/Libra the mental abstract versus Taurus/Virgo the physical substance.
