5 placements in the 8th house
Hi Everyone.
My solar return chart holds 5 placements, including an eclipsed new moon, sun, and north node in close conjunction in the 8th house, (also Neptune and Chiron there quincunx saturn in the 3rd). I am trying to understand its symbolism. I know that the 8th represents life, death, taxes, sex, ect. indicating a year of intensity, which would keep me busy and could be glamorous enough- but I am hoping this placement could also indicate wealth! LOL...I am wondering what other people's experiences have been with the 8th house, as well as any other understanding or interpretation of the 8th house would be most appreciated.

Re: 5 placements in the 8th house
I do remeber once hearing that the 8th house, and a strong emphasis of it in particular, would indicate a strong need to be true to one's self as well, to live authentically...But will that bring material gain?

Re: 5 placements in the 8th house
Hi there,
a strong emphasis on 8th house can indicate a lot of changes, transformation. I had a stellium (4 planets) in 8th house plus Moon in Scorpio in 7th house this year, I have gone through major changes. Ended a longterm relationship (difficult ending) and went through some emotional dissappointments and heartache because of another person (not my ex).
Now I'm on my own, happy and have grown tremendiously both emotionally and psychologically. It was tough while it lasted but now I'm looking forward to next year's solar return which will happen in beginning of Jan with stellium in the 5th (pluto, sun and mars) and 7th (4 planets), and leo ascendant and Moon in Aries. I'm expecting lightheartedness, fun and excitement!! And maybe even romance
8th house symbolises other people's money, maybe your spouse's, so maybe he will have better income, not sure. Could also mean that you will inherit money, get money through someone else.
Look into what aspects Venus is making in the SR chart as it rules money as well as love and relationships. And check what aspects that the SR planets make to your natal chart for more information.
cheers,
R

Re: 5 placements in the 8th house
Thank you so much for your responses
I had a relocation chart once with lots of 5th house placements, and I will say it was a very fun place to be living for a while! I think of the 5th house also as the "rags to riches" house, and that year I certainly gained a lot when opportunities just found me and my client base exploded. It was wonderful.
Thank you for your insights into the 8th houose. I should mention that Jupiter is conjunct my sun by less than 2 degrees, though it lies just 1 degree out of the 8th, in the 7th. I think that will also play a role in the 8th, considering it is at the "doorway". a Mars Mercury conjunction is in the 7th, sextiling a Venus Uranus conjuntion, on my MC. My solar return chart is almost identical to my natal chart in terms of angles.
By the time my solar return chart takes effect, in a few weeks, Pluto will conjunct my natal Venus.
I am very happily single and only wanting to earn my own money. That could be my natal 8th house sun square uranus in natal 5th! I also will say that I have been feeling that pluto on venus as a deeper understanding of my relationship patterns and an intense desire I am feeling to establish my finances and gain power in that direction.
Almost everything is above the horizen, which I hope leads to a more public life as well.
I know that contemporary astrology can focus a lot on the psychological experience of the native. That is important, and I do think that psychology can determine outward experiences, or in the least how they are perceived. My hope is that all this energy in my 3rd quadrant brings more opportunity my way.
and Psychic Ability is great too! considering I am an astrologer...But it has to count for something besides personal growth for me at this point in my life.
Thanks again!!

Dont think you cannot take SR as just a stand alone predictive technique, you have to look at transits. Where your Asc ruler is in SR, where SR ruler is, house emphasis, plus you mentioned Venus/Uranus conjunct is rather erractic, plus you say Sun square Uranus natally, well thats impatience hon...
What about SA and progressions to back up/confirm whats happening in your SR????
