Does this picture have psychic energy??

I usually do natal charts, so horary is not my main thing, but every once in a while, I am compelled to ask a question, and I do, and my charts do usually reflect the situation I am wondering on. However, this one confounds me...

So I just received a visit from my mother, she lives far away and I have not seen her in a few years.She gave me a picture of my mother and father, framed. They are divorced, and, like, hate each others' souls now, so I thought that was nice. They have put each other through a lot of stress and turmoil, and me as well, and maybe a bit of vice versa!

So I am prone to psychic dreams, dreams that fortell the future, and random psychic visions that just come true, and in one dream I had recently, I dreamed I was older, and married with children, and I had a picture of my mother and father (the same picture!) hanging on my wall amidst a bunch of other pictures! I really didn't pay any attention to it until tonight when my mother gave me the picture!!

Regardless, after my mom left, I sat for a few minutes looking at the picture, and I felt an energy on it, some kind of presence, or significance, as if the dream I had was some kind of marker signifying its presence. I also have some weird itch that, like, something may change in my life by way of me having this picture...it's funny too, because I know my mom is quite psychic on some level as well as I am, I don't know the extent of it....but the feelings I were having were so strong that I had to cast a chart for it.

My question was "Does this picture have some sort of psychic element to it?"

And so I casted a chart!

I would assume that I am the sun, as the ascendant is Leo (My natal sun sign is Leo), and Sun is about to cross into 4th house AND Scorpio, which I would see as me going through a regeneration of subconscious patterns, or a big change in my life, like a move or something??? I'm not sure....

I have no idea what would be the significator for a picture??? Maybe someone could offer advice on that?? But I looked at the 4th and 10th houses, for my mother and father, or father and mother, and noticed that they were both in the 4th house as well!! So this could show something relating to my parents???

And then Moon is in Cancer, in its home, and squaring me (the Sun) in the Moon's house....and it's in the 11th, soon to cross over to 12th?? That would possibly show some kind of psychic context?

But that is all I have, usually when I cast a horary chart, its so crystal clear, but this one is really confusing me, any help, please?????

Hello Danman, intriguing question and a difficult one as well because actually, the Ascendant does not come into the question here. You are asking if the picture has a psychic quality, not if the picture was sending you a message or something like that.

I dont think there is a specific house for a photograph, but as it is your possession, I would take the 2nd for the picture. Photopgraphs generally fall under Neptune and Uranus according to the rulershipbook of Rex Bills so maybe aspects to those two could also be taken into account in this case.
Virgo and Mercury as well as the Moon and Venus are also mentioned in his book as having to do with photographs. In this case the 2nd is very appropriately falling in Virgo, so we stay with Mercury.

Everything psychic has to do with the 12th house.

So what I would do in this case is looking for a connection between the 12th or the ruler thereof and the 2nd and it's ruler. Or, if you would consider it an artistic piece of work, then maybe we could look at the 5th house ruler, but I would only do that if it was meant to be in a photographic exhibition.

In your chart Mercury rules the 2nd and is placed in the 3rd. (as a matter of fact, 2nd and 3rd houses are both ruled by Mercury.
Mercury is also traditional ruler of the mind and thoughts of the querent and here it could show that you are thinking of some sort of message.

Another possibility is that the picture = the message as both ruled by Merc.

12th house ruler is the Moon and it leaves the square to Mercury and will soon oppose Jupiter, ruler of the 9th of dreams. Mercury will also square Jupiter. Maybe this shows that soon you will have another dream which can show upcoming problems.

Squares usually are a NO and oppositions as well. So it could mean, no there is no psychic energy connected. But somehow I see the outgoing square from Moon to Mercury as a contact made in the past, a disturbing one (square) in this case. You see, it is difficult to determine.

Why dont you analyze what you felt when you got that picture. Was it fear that something could happen to your parents?

Personally I think that the picture does not have a psychic energy, but rather that your dream and the picture you mom gave you in real life, has triggered your intuition and made you think of something related to your parents. They are both in the house of endings (Venus and Mars) as you also saw and you are about to enter that house as well. Sun was in fall in Libra and will be peregrine in Scorpio (except when between 10° and 20° Scorpio when he is in his face, but that is very weak as well). Sun will be in her house of Joy though.

Sabian Symbol for Mercury is 10 Libra (always round degrees off upwards).
It says: "A canoe is approaching safety through dangerous waters" meaning so much as that you will still have to face some hard times ahead but that your are approaching safety.
For the Sun: "a man alone in deep gloom. Unnoticed, angels are coming to his aid". This symbol is very much about letting go and about feelings that one's luck is about to change. Angels and spiritual forces for good, guardian angels.

You should (next time) use a chart where you can see the seconds of a degree as well as the Nodes, because you see that Moon and Mars (father) for instance have an exact degree, but you cannot see if Moon is about to trine Mars or is leaving that trine. This is important in all horaries.

There are people who look at the picture and can get a vibe off it. I dont know if they are acting or not but i know there are geniune cases of this gift known. Maybe the picture can project a psychic energy and pass it on to you?

I would look for reception between you and the photo
and maybe take the photo's 3rd house to rule the communication after all it is communicating with you

I should have said "picture of my mother and my father, framed!!!! Sorry about that!! I'll edit it!

I don't necessarily take it as something happening to my parents. I have actually gone through a horrible lot with both of them over the past few years, and, as I am physically not close to either of them, and emotionally not very close either, coupled with a lot of problems and past history, I couldn't even imagine them in my life in the future. So having a dream with their picture hanging on a wall in the prospective future was pretty significant to me....and now I sit with a tangible image from my dream in front of me....

I could be overly receptive to it, especially with having such a clear dream of it, but the picture does represent a few things (I slept after posting this question, so I may be a little more level-headed): My parents together in the picture and happy, which is something I'll most likely never see again (as they most likely will never occupy the same room again) may have some sort of set with me in terms of mother-father unity. So I may just be very very in tune with this picture...its weird!

But this happened exactly at the same time as transiting Moon conjuncted my natal Venus, which is opposite to natal Neptune and square natal moon (in a t-square), with Venus in 10th and Neptune in 4th, which was another reason I casted a chart for this question...Pluto has also been transiting (retrograding and stationary) my natal Neptune in Capricorn in the 4th for some time, and I have realized and learned much about my parents that I didn't know before, which has helped me to figure a lot of things from the past that I simply have no answer to. I actually knew this transit of the Moon was coming up, and was paying attention to anything that may happen during that time....and I get this picture!!

Thanks for taking a look at the chart, though, I never heard of anyone trying a chart with picture as significator.

Are you sure Tik? In this case maybe because Leo is Asc. But when the Asc. is in another sign? Energy=electricity in a way= Uranus, Saturn, co-significator or the 2nd will oppose Uranus.
Sun is in fall in Libra, weak energy.

I do not agree with the Moon representing Danman because of the fact that the question is specifically asking if the picture (2nd house) has psychic energy (12th house psychic), so we should look if there is a connection between these two houses. Danman is Sun, also suggested by his natal sunsign in my humble opinion.

Looking for a mutual reception between those two (12 and 3) houses does not exists. (only Mercury falls in Moon's face). Moon does not fall in any of Mercuries dignities, unless the chart was a night chart but I believe in this case it is a day chart. I can be wrong here. Help me out Tik!

I dont know, maybe this sort of question cannot be answered by horary? because Neptune and Uranus are the psychic significators and in traditional horary they did not play a rule. Which planets would? I can only think of rulers of 8th and 12th.

Yes, very true. Danman might have this, but then he should feel the energy of the people portrayed in this picture, i.o.w. the energy of his parents and how they feel at the moment, not so much their message (via their energy) to him I would think.

yes I got that feeling also somehow. Your dream could indeed indicate that you wished it were true, or, as the Sabian Symbol also suggests, that you are maybe wishing that things would be different in the past and you are still struggling with letting go of the bad memories. Pluto going over that Neptune in the 4th is pretty heavy and could indeed bring up all sorts of feelings, especially with you who is so perceptive.

Oh yes, definitely! That is what I think it is. I think this chart is quite cryptic in this sense, as I was asking about some form of psychic connection. And by psychic connection from the picture, I literally do feel the energy of my parents in the picture, and it is good....and I even guessed how old I was when the picture was taken and where my parents were (which proved to be correct... when I lifted the picture out of the frame, it was dated and titled on the back, and matched my guess exactly). So I think it could totally be about letting go and transformation, but I also think it is acknowledgement of la spirtual/psychic gift attained by letting go of issues surrounding the question. I know the outer planets are not traditional, but I choose not to ignore the Sun (entering Scorpio) sextile to Pluto while squaring Moon in Cancer near the 12th....subconscious.

You are right though, maybe this is a difficult one, as Uranus and Neptune could have a lot to do with the interpretation of this...
