Which Significators---Please Advise !

Hi Everyone !

want to cast a couple of charts, not sure which significators to use in these instances:

1) If I'm looking to see if there will be any contact between an old employer and myself, which house would represent the employer, the 10th?

2) Some former business partners are in the process of opening a new business, but are becoming buried in renovation and other costs, which are threatening the possibility of getting the business off the ground, - which houses would you use here for them / their business to see if it will open or not, and whether or not it will be a success ?

If you are asking the question by yourself, just curious to find out if their business is likely to be a success or not, then the friends' business is represented by the 10th house (business) counted from the 11th house (friends), that is the 8th house.
If you are asking this question on their behalf or if you identify yourself with your friends' situation to the point that the question becomes "Will OUR business be successful", then to not use turned houses, just consider the 10th house.

Just want to clarify something about these people and their business - they are people that I know, but more along the lines of acquaintences - wouldn't call them "friends" exactly.I do understand that it would still be the 10th house, but if they are more like business acquaintances, would it be the 10th from 6th, or even 10th again?

Ok, in this case, the question will be rephrased as "Will THEIR business be successfull?" and THEY are just acquaintances, so THEY are represented in the 7th house, of other people (with whom we do not share a special relationship). And the business will be shown by the turned 10th house, that is the chart's 4th house.

The 6th house is reserved for people of a clearly inferior rank from yours such as your servants or your employees. Business relationships are equal to equal relationships, therefore assigned to the 7th. Your employer is not your equal, he is your superior therefore assigned to the 10th house.
