What's good?
Hello everybody, I'm Marcia LEO, with Virgo moon, Piscies rising ( did i spell that right?:38
I've Always had a moderate interest in Astrology, my husband thinks that it is bull
I am a christian, and I know that GOD has set the stars and planets in thier place, and that their messege should be used in conjuction with the bible, the bible actually refers to the signs in the sky alot.
Most christians say they dont "belive" in astrology, but you dont have to "belive" in things that you can SEE (planets, stars, space), only what you dont see.
The most important thing to me about astrology is that it gives me insight into the things that I do, that I might not otherwise recognize about myself
Thanks for your time!

Yes there is a lot of astrology in the bible, I watched a video on this subject by Jordan Maxwell. He made a joke that most people think astrology is occult and all superstitious stuff and evil etc. , yet it is written in religious works. It's a controversial topic, I am not heavily religious myself but I will read some spiritual works.

It's hard for some people to believe in astrology as it cannot be proved by doing laboratory tests etc. It is a more invisible force, but you see it working in your life. There was a funny cartoon in a book by Stephen Arroya which I really liked. And yay I just found it on the web, saves me explaining it. But this is just so uncannily true with Scientists and skeptics.

Re: What's good?
Welcome to the forum, MarciLeo. We have some things in common:
I have a "Christian" background, myself, and have also been told I had the gift of prophecy by evangelists/pastors. I, too, get hammered with the "astrology is the devil" mindset.
I have a daughter with a similar chart to yours. She was born the same day ( different year) and also has a Pisces rising.
Hope you decide to stick around. This is a great forum with great people who are members. ( I guess that's what makes it a great forum! )

Re: What's good?
I'm sorry if that anyone who calls themself a follower of christ has been anything less that compassionate and at least willing to listen, Tell me more about your daughter! I want to she if she is like me;D
I am african american, I have been told that I'm beautiful ( not trying to brag, really) of course I dont look beautiful all the time. I have a head full of hair that just grows and grows, both of my parents are black (N' proud;D) I have great intentions and a bad temper, I was blessed enough to be raised outside of the US, so I have a different view on the world. Very strict mother, great loving stepfather, real father was loving but passsed when I was 16, I'm the oldest of 9, all of them half brothers and sisters, does anything match ?

So... I guess they weren't really a follower of Christ... Good point, MarciLeo!

Well, she has been told she looks like Greta Garbo, and that she has "Bette Davis Eyes" - very unique looking, really. She is Caucasian, however. The two of you share the "good intentions and bad temper", although she is getting much better with the temper part. Age is mellowing her Mercury in Leo in the 5th. Her Sun is in the 5th, as well. She has many step and half-brothers and sisters, also - although she is not the oldest. She was raised in the US, but she has travelled more than the rest of us put together, and she just turned 19!
How's that for starters?

Re: What's good?
Hi Marileo, below is the link to Fixed Stars. Major stars in your chart:
Arcturus in Bootes (Mars and Pluto)
Spica in Virgo (Mars and Pluto)
Shaula in Scorpio (Neptune)
Algol in Perseus (Chiron)
Tejat Posterior in Gemini (North Node)
Ascella in Sagittarius (South Node)
Extra info on Arcturus (not on this site anymore):
General influence of the star: It gives riches, honors, high renown, self-determination and prosperity by navigation and voyages. (Robson).
It has a reputation for achieving "justice through power", it therefore makes the natives belligerent and quarrelsome, especially if attached to Mars or Jupiter by conjunction. A really go-ahead and enterprising spirit is here the rule as indicated by Jupiter-Mars. Lasting success if further good aspects are present. If critically aspected, the good influence will be hampered or made into a real handicap. If involved in legal action, such a native could lose all. (Between Spica and Arcturus there is only a minor difference in longitude but a very large difference in latitude. A blend of mutual influnces is frequently given. Although Spica is very much the larger and will dominate, it may get more positive character by its blending with Arcturus). (Ebertin).
With Mars: Popular, many friends, considerable gain but does not save owing to extravagance. (Robson).
Our link: I have Mercury/Venus on Spica/Arcturus (reaction point of Yod)
Jamiescott.
