What caused the fire?
Hello everyone,
Yesterday, the Egyptian houses of parliment caught on fire. It was huge and took 4 hours to exhaust. The point of my question is to find out whether it was an accident or dome kind of malicious act. Unfortunately, I didn't time when Ifirst wondered about that. I remember Leham says that an event chart can be used inseatd though.
It happened on 19 August 2008; 5:30 pm (GMT +3); Cairo, Egypt - 30n03, 31e15. The chart is attached.
Capricorn rises. I have no idea what that means. The Moon is separating from Mars though showing the fire. Does Masr mean that it was an accident?
I suppoed that the subject of the fire is ruled by the 1st. That makes Saturn the significator of the houses of parliment; that's kind of descriptive. It's in the 8th house showing the danger. What could signify the fire itself though? The 8th? It is ruled by Sun, that big ball of fire.
A possible menace should be ruled by the 7th. The significator is the Moon. The moon is no where near Saturn, so I suppose it wasn't on purpose? What house rules accidents? I don't know.
Mercury is separating from Saturn. Mercury rules th 5th and 6th. Maybe some worker (6th) messed something up? Jupiter is the closest to Saturn judging by degrees. It's seprarting. Maybe that shows too much or too little maintenence.
May take is that it was an accident, not an act of violence or terrorism. What does everyone think?
Nora

Yes, the 12th would show nefarious schemes. Jupiter trines over to Saturn/Merc/Venus conjunction in the 8th suggesting money was involved.
Then Pluto in the 12th (but not conjunct,) along with Jupiter and in point focus of a t-square off the opposition of Mars and Uranus strongly suggests that someone was up to no good. With Pluto being the ruler of the 10th, political one-upmanship positioning is likely.

Re: What caused the fire?
As an event chart, the houses of parliment are represented by Capricorn/Saturn in this chart. Since this is a mundane question, look for the country involved in the signs: Libra/Venus represents upper Egypt and Gemini/Mercury represent lower Egypt. Venus and Mercury are not to far from Saturn, but separating. The Moon rules the seventh house, but the Moon is afflicted by Mars so, being the artist, I may have difficulty reading this chart.
Is there a secret arsonist? If he exists, he would be represented by the 12th house ruled by Jupiter. Retrograde Jupiter is in mutual application by trine aspect to Saturn. The aspect will perfect when Jupiter is stationary. This does not read like a deliberate action, and also it is pointing to the future; the fire has already happened.

Re: What caused the fire?
Thank you guys for your replies.
About the planets in the 12th, I don't count modern planets when doing traditional astrology, so Pluto is of no interest to me. Jupiter looks scary there though, especially that it's Rx. However, Jupiter doesn't rule any of the houses involved in the matter, so I don't know how significant it is.
Culpeper, it's interesting that you counted in Mercury and Venus as rulers of Egypt. I never would have thought of that. I do wanna point out though that upper Egypt is ruled by Taurus, not Libra. It's still makes you right about using Venus though.
Now, here's something I disagree with you about. If there were a secret arsonist, I think they should be ruled by the 7th. I know that the 12th rules "secrets", but just because a potential arsonist has not been identified does not make them any less of an open enemy, am area ruled by the 7th. If a thief robs a home, they are ruled by the 7th even if their idenity was unknown. Right?
Anyway, I'm starting to think more and more that was an accident. Do we have a specific house that rules accidents? I mean, where should I look for electrical instability in a horary chart?
Again, thank you all for your replies.
