| Medical Astrology Astrological diagnoses and other health issues are discussed here. Given that there are so many outer and inner influences on one's health (alimentation, sports, medication, past medical antecedents, state of mind, etc.), an astrological diagnosis is only one of many things to consider when determining your healthiness. |

Baldness
Aries is the sign of baldness, just wonder if there are any other aspects, configurations... signs, planets, houses or even transits which can make you either lose your hair (man or woman) and of course the male genetic bald thing.
I feel a receding taking place and a thinning. Please if anyone know, please please give me some form of consolation. I am not for or against, just want to know the facts. Astrologically of course.
Much Appreciated Night Sky.

Hi NS,
You so young and worrying about baldness already . Stop now! ! Worrying will actually make you lose your hair.
Anyways, I am currently at a seminar enjoying a half-hour break at the moment, so brevity is the word in responding to your post. Whilst Aries rules anything to do with the head/mind, Saturn rules body-extremities (Saturn=limits), like skin, nails and hair; besides the skeletal system/bones (Saturn=form and structure), so look at how Saturn is doing, 1st & 6th houses etc.... Need to stop here now and run back to my seminar. I'll try to come back later, if I get the chance and look further. Hope others will pop by, in the meantime, to share their thoughts.

Re: Baldness
Thank you Aquarius,
Moon in aries 8th - mars on Asc
Saturn in 2nd semisquare Ascendant.
Sun/Moon midpoint square saturn?
That's all i got so far.
But your right... stress causes loss of hair. My sister is losing her hair over stress and not eating well. Nutrition is important isn't it.

Re: Baldness
She also got moon in Aries --- a bald woman. Bald and bold and is the Aries agression.
would Venus have counter active presence... I mean Libra being opposite Aries, having Venus well placed in Libra... maybe keeps hair??? even though it goes thin... recedes etc. My brother has Venus-Libra yet he has only got it receded a bit at the front... still got majority of it.
Dad is 4 planets in Aries... Sun-Saturn Mercury-Venus... all Aries... very bald since in early twenties.
Libra though...?

NS,
This sounds more genetics, like in-the-family kind of thing than astrology. My advice is to eat a balanced diet, perhaps the right Vitamins (if you require them on-top), use quality hair products, develop a stress-free disposition as far as possible, and let nature take its course. Sorry, if this is not exactly the kind of answer you were looking for, but honestly, how will knowing the aspects of Mars/Saturn and the whole jing-bang help in stopping the hairline from receding any further. A positive and carefree attitude might, perhaps, at least in deferring the recession to a certain extent.
Relax

Re: Baldness
Yes, point accepted... I'm am doing this as of now. thank you Aquarius7000
But this is astrology forum and i like to know.
Aries is stress head... also has more testosterone association with Mars....
I think I am safe though.... Aries moon seems to work itself out through women in my life... they have more testosterone than me sometimes... hehe. My sister is going baldie. Not nice for a girl, I know. Some is stress related. Aries is sign that stresses, because never stops.
I am still curious to know more people who have baldness. If I be like Captain Picard of Enterprise i be pleased. He is TRUE BALDIE, but also i think women like him. I wouldn't mind being bald like him.:38:

Re: Baldness
You don't give up, do you .
Medically, amongst others, the thyroid gland is connected with hair loss, when there is a dysfunction, or an impaired circulation of thyroxine. This would point at both Taurus (pharynx, thyroid gland in particular) and Gemini (glandular functions in general plus also nervous disorders). I haven't got my notes on me to explore further, as I am out of town currently, but if I remember correctly, the luminaries are also said to be connected to this problem to a certain extent (Sun: hypertension, circulation..; Moon-hormonal imbalance in case of women).
Got to rush now, but hope this bit helps.

Re: Baldness
Now I know why I lose so much hair! I am not bald and certainly not anywhere near it,as I have a mane that would make lots of lions jealous, but I lose a stunning amount of hair per day.You can find my hair anywhere in the house, don't even need to look much further. Now I know it's my triple Aries placements-Moon,Mercury,Venus-causing the baldness thing. With Mars in mutual reception with Mercury. And I have Sun/Moon/Mercury in the3rd,so there's the connection with stress and the nervous system.Plus Mars in the6th.
As for solving your little problem,I once heard Oprah's doctor Oz talking about baldness and what do about it.He said there were two medicines very effective in preventing baldness. My dad(the Arian Sun/Moon/Mars )wrote them down.Ask your doctor about Propecia and Rogaine.
Cheers,
Lissa

Re: Baldness
By the way,the medicines I mentioned won't make the hair grow back in your head, but they will prevent more hair from falling. My mom also has a problem with baldness, but hers is connected to her Lupus, which also affects her skin.I remember her doctor once told her about a certain shampoo used by african women that really made the hair grow back, but I can't remember the shampoo's name, and neither does she.The shampoo could only be found in a certain part of the town, downtown to be more specific,in a very nasty looking, small shopping center.Inside the shopping center,it was a real maze, full of indian and african shops, everybody talking in foreign languages, there was no one we could turn to Needless to say,we never found the shop and never got the shampoo

Re: Baldness
Thank you Lissa and Aquarius.
I'm going to look into those things that you mentioned, rogaine and the other one.
I think part of it was hypochondria, i still have my hair, it was just the imagination which ran amock with me. Don't always have a clear idea of the facts. Neptune.

Re: Baldness
While Aries does rule the head, all of the fire signs (but specifically Leo and Sagittarius) rule over baldness. These Signs found on the cusp usually lead to baldness sometime throughout the individuals lifetime (more sooner than later though). Sun or/and Mars in the 1st or hitting the cusp of the first also can lead to this problem as well, again, especially in fiery Signs.

When you say "on the cusp" do you mean cusp of the 1st... Ascendant? So that we're saying that baldness occurs due to having Ascendant, Sun and Moon in fire signs specifically Leo and Sagittarius? Or can you indicated these through houses as well?

Re: Baldness
Yes I refer to the Ascendant, which is the only house appropriate for this interpretation. I am saying that baldness occurs when the Ascendant is placed in a fiery sign, and it is a greater testimony when the Sun or Mars are placed in the first House or joined unto the Ascendant.

Re: Baldness
I know I read somewhere that baldness is definitely more prevelant among fire signs... but another thing is I actually went to cosmetology school! Now there's a couple things that happen when going bald.. the first being thinning, mostly because the root is dying from not getting the nutrients it needs. So nutrition is a big plus. If the root dies... you're SOL and not getting that one back unless you get it implanted! There is this GREAT shampoo they tell chemo patients to use and it's called Nioxxin. You can buy it quite a few places. The scalp cleanser is awesome!! It's minty and makes your head tingle! LOL!

Re: Baldness
Yes the Ascendant makes sense, because it's the first thing that you see, it's the first impression and baldness is something that really stands out in that way.
I accept the bald are fire signs, because the heat burns off the hair. And I also have something to add to it...
Hair is ruled by Saturn/ Capricorn, Mercury, Venus and Virgo. (I looked this up)
This I verify by the rulership of these planets in signs where fire planets fall or are in detriment.
Fire signifies the absense of hair. While Saturn ruling signs which are in darkness... and cold, is favourable for hair growth. This makes sense since Saturn rules where the Sun is detriment, and where Saturn rules... also Mercury rules where Jupiter is in Detriment also (Gemini) and Gemini's seem to often have thick long hair...(not regarding the presence of fire elsewhere). Venus rules where Mars is in Detriment... Mars signifies bald... Venus signifies long hair... Hair is Venusian.... what is every girl on the planet generally proud of or concerned about... THEIR HAIR!
Scorpio rules the genitals and "secret parts" where let's face it, is the only part where we are guarenteed thick hair. Scorpio also is of darkness (NUOS) where the Sun is weak... but incidentally where MARS has rulership.
From this deduction I would go further to conclude that Mars has association with Hair in a masuline way... this may be accounted for by facial hair?
The hair which covers the entire body is a natural extension of the skin... which is ruled by Saturn and Venus.
Mars may signify the scalp, the head. And Likewise does the Ascendant by dint of being Mars's "natural house" the 1st house, the Aries house. But, if the Ascendant is placed in fire this is one indicator of the appearance beginning with the head, Mars is another indicator of the appearance of the head, as must be Aries and planets which are placed there to a certain lesser degree also.
Mars has two faces remember, that of Aries and that of Scorpio. One is the daytime, agressor, the other is the defensive night time version. Though Mars is symbolic of FIRE, Scorpio is not. So either Pluto is the hair significator, or Mars potentially holds the signification of baldness in Aries and Body-Hair in Scorpio. Mars is also exalted in the hair sign Capricorn.
There are conclusions to be drawn.

Once again, makes sense...I have a Capricorn ascendant with a 1st house Saturn in Aquarius=long, thick, dark hair that nonethless insists on falling of my head like leaves falling from a tree in the Autumn!

Were there any transits to your natal planets that could explain this?

Re: Baldness
Hi again swamp thang. Transiting Uranus has been conjuncting your Mercury and squaring your Uranus for a while. That will do it to you. Mercury is your thinking and Uranus will send it haywire for a while. It is a good transit though. It does spark interest in the occult and will give you a whole exciting new way of thinking.

Re: Baldness
The bald people that I know generally have the "Aquarian look" about them, which makes sense to me because the opposite sign people-Leo always seem to have long hair.

Re: Baldness
I'm a 21 yr old woman w/ rather severe hair loss ...doctors say it is due to stress, but I am not so sure (Neptune in 6th house = mysterious diagnosis?). I believe that I may have a thyroid problem (Venus in Taurus opp. Pluto). Perhaps adrenals as well.
I have an Aries Moon, squaring my Leo Asc. Fire and air are strong in my chart.
I also have Mars (Cancer, 12th house) opp. Neptune...which apparently is associated w/ inflammation issues? I'm sure Aries Moon adds to this as well.
Anyone w/ insights, please add 'em! I'm just beginning to explore my health problems....
