Fascinating Chart - How to bring out Martian energy?

Ok, so perhaps I'm biased.

But I've recently gotten into astrology solely on the basis of my own natal chart being so -- interesting. Sun conjunct moon conjunct Venus, sextiling a tightly tightly conjunct Neptune and Saturn, all of those positively aspecting Pluto, a Mercury squaring the Mars and Jupiter hiding over in the 12th house, bringing them out, and to top it off Uranus sitting slightly by itself providing all sorts of lovely quintiles. No fire at all in the planets, but nearly all of the important asteroids do lie in fire signs. I don't know, I just think it is remarkable.

I suppose if I had a question, if any, it would be -- how might I best bring out the Martian energy, which I find sometimes lacking in myself? I notice when Mars transits I find all sorts of Mars-like aspects in my personality I didn't have before, but as soon as the transit is over these all drift away, and I'm back to my pleasant Pisces-Venusean-Gemini-ian self.

Which leads me to another question -- which would you say would be the real ruling planet in my chart? A whole bunch seem as if they could be -- Neptune and Saturn at the point of a bunch of sextiles, Pluto by itself on the bottom half of the chart, Mercury ruling the rising sign...

And of course if anyone has any general comments on my chart I would definitely apprectiate it.

Kthx

Re: Fascinating Chart - How to bring out Martian energy?

I do think all the charts are interesting and there is something to learn from them all. What is most interesting is how you feel it affects your outlook, expereinces, etc. That is what interests me. I would say off the top that mercury rules your chart as it is your ascendant and mercury is at the top of the chart or in prominence. You do have several stelliums which may make things more complicated for you in some ways as a transit could affect a bunch of planetary energies at once. Mars conjunct jupiter may serve to expand martian energy of aggression/ assertiveness . If I followed Tims? process the sign Taurus (material/physical) modifies mars or being and modifies jupiter expansion in the house of spiritual (or hidden things, fears, and confinements) might result in that martian energy coming out in non direct ways and or coming out in a big way all of a sudden. Since it is close to the ascenent it may serve to affect health. Just some thoughts.

Re: Fascinating Chart - How to bring out Martian energy?

Hi there,

I find the idea of having the Asc ruler up there in the tenth house with both the co-rulers (ie Jupiter & Mars) directly aspecting it, pretty fascinating.

Tell me, are you into creative stuff like perhaps creative arts/ writing/ any form of communications/ or perhaps the sciences - with Aqu ruling your tenth? Also, a Piscean stellium, and heavy eight and twelfth houses could perhaps lead to an interest in occultism/ metaphysical/ spiritual stuff, but more like a hobby, I'd say. Can you relate to any of the aforementioned at all?

Btw, Pluto/Sat/Ura do not rule your chart despite the many aspects they might make. Mer rules your chart's rising and Jup & Mars, coming from the 12th, co-rule it (though Mars is about 6° away from the asc, but perfect placement for Jup).

I was curious as to profession too with 6th house pluto trining sun, moon, and venus at the top of the chart in pisces....the rulers of family, commuication and service with an intercepted scorpio in the sixth....it seems your work might involve helping others in some way probably with some intensity or transformative way. Let us know....thanks so much

Re: Fascinating Chart - How to bring out Martian energy?

Well, my career isn't really set yet, as I'm still sort of young. I've been undecided about what I actually want to pursue for a long time, and had in the past studied chemical engineering and biochemistry, but have now semi-decided on something relating to economics (yay Aquarius midheaven). What I actually would like best would be to work toward some sort of advocation for third-world development career, but the number of available jobs in that field is small, so we'll see.

And yeah, the transit thing has sort of bothered me a tad of late, particularly because I've noticed Saturn is heading toward an extended opposition of my Pisces stellium. This happens to be directly coinciding with a time when I'm deciding between attending two different universities, which makes me think I might make the "wrong" decision when I do decide.

(Annnd I just realized Saturn rules my 9th house of higher education. Good God, astrology is spooky.)

Which brings me to another question I have. If a planet is already prominent in one's natal chart, do hard transits involving that planet make life particularly difficult for me, or am I sort of already "used to" the difficulties of that planet? Especially for that greatest malefic of all, Saturn. I've heard this is so, and if that is true, I am somewhat less worried about the coming year or so.

Re: Fascinating Chart - How to bring out Martian energy?

WEll, I am 49 and when I was young I was just beginning to notice the patterns. I had not had too many of the longer cycles of the outer planets. But going through my plethora of experiences at this point I can see...welll, I am not sure they improve but we do 'see the wave coming'. Mercury might experience a Saturn contact as more serious, more responsible, or simply lowered energy but maybe good for doing some serious study.
