We are so much more complex than our sun sign, so finding the "perfect match" would be dependent upon a variety of factors--the sign and house placements of Venus and Mars, the aspects these planets make, etc. Of course, personal preference still exists regardless of what your natal chart may suggest

What Arien Maverick said was very true. We are so much richer than our Sun signs. The Sun's position in our charts only constitutes one tenth of that which we have to consider.
However, the Sun does have a particular significance, as it represents our centre of being, the mission which the soul has been given for our earthly sojourn.
I'm not one for Sun sign astrology, it's based upon too great generalisations to be of any particular importance, but there is no harm I suppose in considering how certain Sun sign's might react with one another, albeit in a very general sense.
If you are asking how the sign of Scorpio may react with other signs, then it's relationship with other Water signs, would be highlighted through emotion, intuition and deep understanding. The Water signs are all connected to Mars, as Mars rules them by triplicity, but Mars is the ruler of Scorpio, so Scorpio domineers the other Water signs, and the way in which it relates to Cancer could be problematic, because Cancer is ruled by the Moon, and Scorpio has contempt for lunar energy, as the Moon is in it's fall in Scorpio.
There may be tension between Leo and Aquarius with Scorpio, as these are square to each other in the zodiac.
Scorpio is in opposition to Taurus, so Scorpio can either become the complemetary other half to Taurus, or become it's sworn adversary. They are passive signs, more passive than active together, and the Venus/Mars combination can be sexually quite dynamic.
Scorpio has little in common with Aries as it is a non beholding sign. One is fire and one water, one masculine and one feminine, but these two signs are united under the rulership of Mars, Scorpio and Aries work best together when bound as comrades in fighting for a common goal.
Perhaps the least comparable sign to Scorpio is Gemini, as again they are non beholding, and there is little to unite them to a common bond. The same might be said for Libra and Sagittarius.
As for what sign is perfect for a Scorpio male, then it would depend on that Scorpio males chart. For example, it's easy to say that Scorpio doesn't blend well with Gemini, but if Scorpio's Mercury was conjunct Gemini's Sun, and Gemini's Mars conjunct Scorpio's Sun, we could hardly make such a generalised assertion.
So in answer to your question, which sign is the most comparable to Scorpio, then the answer is that it is not really possible without the person's natal data to draw up a chart in order to model that question to the individual.
