Saturn in the first house
What does it mean when, in a relationship question, Saturn is in the first house, conjunct Spica? Does it show the querent's concern or is it interpreted as a "NO", as it usually with Saturn in the 1st house?

Re: Saturn in the first house
Earlier horary (such as the Ankara method-oldtime Ottoman astrology-which I use) did not consider Saturn in the first as a stricture vs judgement (this idea came into play later on) The + or - indicative testimony of Saturn in the 1st in horary, depends entirely upon the condition of Saturn in that house: if detrimented or in Fall, or closely conjunct a disruptive fixed star, or in a pitted degree of the sign, etc, will be quite - testimony; in rulership or exaltation, or closely conjunct a benefic star (such as Spica), etc, would be a very + testimony.

Re: Saturn in the first house
Thank you, Dr Farr!
In the attached chart, I asked "will we be back together"?
His significator Mars is in my first house, but so is Saturn in Libra/ exaltation, conjunct Spica. So it is a positive testimony?

Re: Saturn in the first house
Using the alternative Ankara horary method, here is how I would delineate the reference chart (NOTE: I use whole sign house format only)
-querent = 1st house = Libra = Venus
-quesited ("him") = 7th house = Aries = Mars
-querent's co-significator = Moon
(Notice that Saturn plays no role here as a significator)
-Mars posited in querent's signifying house (1st house) = +, but Mars is in its detriment in Libra = -, so net neutral testimony here
-Venus flows toward Mars = + testimony
-Moon flows toward Mars = + testimony
-Part of Love (ascendant + venus - sun) falls @ 24 Leo in your 11th house (gains, friends, etc) and his 5th house (romance) = + testimony
-Mars flows away from the POL (-), Venus and Moon flow toward the POL (+) = net neutral testimony (note this indicates that your are stronger for love than he is, at the present time)
Results of relevant significators testimonies:
Positive = +3 testimonies
Negative = 0
Net = +3 testimonies
...so, with a net of + testimonies, indications are favorable for an eventual reunion/return to the relationship.
That's how I would delineate this chart using my alternative approach to horary...

Re: Saturn in the first house
Thank you very much, Dr Farr!
This pretty much describes the current situation, with me trying a reunion and him pulling away.
You mention a positive outcome, which now seems impossible, given the current attitude. Is there a time-frame as to when this reunion could happen?

Re: Saturn in the first house
His significator Mars, around to Venus (in the chart not in an ephemeris) or around to the Part of Love in the chart: so from between 8 signs (time units) and 10 signs (time units); if we allocate weeks to each time unit that would be from 8 to 10 weeks from now; if months then that would be from 8 to 10 months from the present time.
