Astrology and Pregnancy. Which transits?

What transits were you having when you get pregnant, or your partner?

Please state briefly:
- Which house was your Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto
- Whether these were making aspects to natal Sun or Moon

we are all visual people and need to see charts pls?
Unfortunately, there is no set formula or signature for marriage or childbirth, although others may disagree, apparently horary and vedic seem confident in this area. There are indicators and potential as there would be with natal, solar return chart but guarantees -- (post 2 & 3 below)
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?p=207744#post207744

Your chart is a blueprint of your personality, facets and penchants and the whole chart is 'potential' for development. There is nothing guaranteed or fatalistic in charts, I do believe we still do have free will. I also believe we chose our parents and childhood circumstances best suited to learning those Lessons in the best way we can.

I think it's worth bearing in mind that the natal chart, like solar returns is all about 'potential' but as we all know we don't always fulfil that potential do we.

It's like someone saying you can predict death, but with modern medicine and sciences the way they are and the potential to 'die' three times in a life, doesn't mean to say you will does it

I think lots of people have unrealistic expectations about what astrology can and can't do. astrology is an 'art, science and craft' and not clairvoyance either. If there were a formula or signature, don't you think we would ALL be using it?

Predicting marriage and/or having children can be done, but it is not easy, time consuming and intricate. There are lots of things to take into consideration like, secondary progressions, what inter-aspects one chart makes to another, Solar arcs, Solar returns, Transits etc

The point being is to see if any natal planets is in same degree ie: 3'5" taurus would be same as 3'5" in ANY fixed sign and is considered conjunct. Then a passing transit, progressions or even solar arc could activate this midpoint. All depends if it's the benefic Jupiter, venus etc or malifics saturn, uranus, neptune, pluto

Please reply with brief answers, and to the point

It's hard to remember conception. I knew with 2 of my chldren, but only remember the date of one; 2/14/81 (birth date was 11/22/81.

Pluto was oppose my Moon. MNN was EXACTLY conjunct my ascendant. Neptune was trine my Moon, Jupiter and Saturn conjunct my Neptune (My 8th house ruler).

If you want data for research (and want to do the research) the birth dates for my other children are:

1/2/67
9/11/68
9/20/69
11/11/71

My chart's attached.

If you find any patterns, let us know.

I agree that all those links etc are very daunting and often unnecessary for the question posed.

Transits to the 5th house herald pregnancy in short.

We need to see both partners charts and also to see the state of the Moon.

- Which house was your Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto
- Whether these were making aspects to natal Sun or Moon

First off, just to mention that Saturn rules my fifth house.

First pregnancy: Estimated Conception Date - early May 1997

Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter (Uranus + Jupiter trined Sun-Moon in first house) in fifth house
Pluto in second (conjunct natal Neptune)
Saturn ruler of fifth house was in seventh (opposing natal Sun-Moon combo)
True node conjunct Asc
Tr Jupiter in fifth trined Uranus in first house and Saturn in ninth house

Second pregnancy: Estimated Conception Date - Feb 2000

Neptune, Sun and Uranus in fifth house
Pluto was in third house
Saturn was in eighth house

Tr Sun trined Sun-Moon
Tr Neptune made wide trines to Sun-Moon
Tr Uranus trined Sun-Moon
Tr Jupiter trined Jupiter
Tr Saturn was inconjunct Moon (exact)

Wouldn't progressions or planets on the 5th ( progressed) be taken in consideration for the pregnancy to take place? I had and still do Jupiter/Uranus conjunction on my 5th house on my progressed chart when I got pregnant in 2007.

V, I've just checked my progressed chart and I had no progressed planets in my fifth.

How about the 8th house, or strong aspects to the ruler of the 8th? I would think the 8th house would have more to do with conception than the 5th. It does rule sex and birth.

How about the 8th house

No progressed planets through the 8th. I have six planets in my first house, one in second house, one on IC, one in 9th house and my chart ruler in 12th house. I'll never have any progressed planets in my 8th (other than progressed moon). My chart is in my profile if you'd like to have a look.

or strong aspects to the ruler of the 8th?

The ruler of my 8th (Taurus) is Venus in 12th.

With my first pregnancy, I had progressed moon conjunct natal Venus as well as progressed Jupiter trining Venus. Progressed Venus was semi-sextile natal Venus and conjunct my Asc!

With my second pregnancy, progressed Jupiter was in a seperating trine to natal Venus.

Okay I can totally relate to this.. I had in 2007 a progressed moon-venus in cancer conjuction in the 12th... and a progressed venus conjunct natal ascendant.. but nowdays its not conjunct venus anymore its conjunct progressed ascendant angle, Iam sort of eager for it to get to the first house already... and well my progressed 5th house falls on Sagi and jupiter and uranus were doing their thing in the 5th. :p And my daughter is Sagi. So maybe a progressed chart should also be taken in consideration in pregnancy. (Including the house cusp sign placement) natally Scorpio occupies 5th cusp although Sag is intercepted a little.

Absolutely, especially Jupiter which is classic. If the progressed aspects are echoed in the natal chart, then definitely. Uranus can be a shock or a surprise or the use of modern technology is involved such as IVF and state of the art methods.

I hear you about the 8th. It deals with the orgasm and conception in that way. It is the "little death" of sex. It does not rule birth conventionally but rebirth rather......... but if a soul is reincarnating then I guess it would apply to a physical birth in that way. Actual pregnancy and childbirth belongs with the 5th and the Moon aspects.

Jupiter progressions and transits might play a part in pregnacy if it aspects the ruler of the houses of children and or the 8th house of sex/conception. My sister has transiting jupiter in applied conjunction to her mars (ruler of the 7th house and the house of second child as well venus the ruler of her 8th house of conception and announced this christmas her husband and her are expecting their 2nd child. Also, venus rules her rising and her heard often jupiter (expansion) transits and/or progressions to the rising or its ruler often correlates with the expansion which, occurs during pregnacy.

I think I was even Surprised, ( even though I knew it would happen just as much as everyone when they found out ,with Uranus there !) But the whole thing was normal aside that.

What about jupiter aspects to the ruler of the 5th or 8th? What about progressed jupiter? Interesting jupiter or uranus was in the 8th house at the time of either conception.

I was compiling all this when you posted this thread. sorry, it is not brief, but complete with tight 1* orbs. I did not include fast planets. I did include chiron cause my children healed and wounded me in various ways(wouldn't change it for anything). Also included north node and vertex since many consider them karmic indicators.

Yes but where there any major aspects to the 5th house ruler by transit or progression? Did the transiting 5th house ruler or the progressed 5th house ruler make any major aspects? Also, the 5th house only counts for the 1st child, then its the 7th and then its then 9th, then its the 11th.
