Im a virgo wiith scorpio rising but my venus,jupiter,mercury and chiron are all in leo in my tenth house and square my ascendant and pluto which is in first house, I dont think i look like a scoprio what do you think i look like?

Here's an interesting quote (slightly edited for clarity) from H.L. Cornell's "Encyclopedia of Medical Astrology" that seems to cover all the bases mentioned above. Hope it's not too long.

"The physical appearance is denoted by the 1st House, and the sign upon the Ascendant, the decanate rising, together with the sign occupied by the ruler of the rising sign. I have 5 planets occupying my first house which would also have effects on my appearance like wise;

Mars in Capricorn- 1st house
Venus in Capricorn- 1st house

Is it just me? I don't see any planets influences in espi's chart except for that beautiful Venus and perhaps some Neptune in her first? I really don't see Mars, Jupiter or Uranus influences at all, unless they are reflected in her body shape which of course, are not in the pic.

I'm a Cap-rising, with Moon in Aqua, first house as well. Moon squares Saturn. I'm often told I look serious or stern when someone doesn't know me, but that's only slightly true really (serious-part, anyway.) I also noticed my face is VERY changeable. Some days I look almost like a totally different person. Could this be Moon in first? Otherwise, I think I pretty much look like a Capricorn asc.

I definitely do. I am Sun Cancer with Pisces asc in the Cancer Decan so I have always had alot of problem being rounded & voluptuous. I have a rounded face (annoying double chin too when I put on weight (easy)) & green eyes which are a water feature. So yep I'm truly Piscean externally.

I'm a Gemini Rising, with my Mercury in Pisces in the 11th house. I would have to say I have quite a few Gemini traits. I have a very skinny, wiry, and lanky body. I have alot of character, and expression in my facial gestures, I also have the whole darting eye thing down. Constantly analyzing & observing everything around me.
Sense my ruling planet is in Pisces, I tend to have a very spaced out dreamy appearance. (People call me "Spacey Stacey" haha). My eyes are rather Pisceian and have a dreamy, yet penetrating appearance.

I have: Pluto Opposite AS, which I feel gives me a intense edgy look, and makes me have a "dark" mysterious appearance. For better or for worse. I've been told I'm intimidating and mysterious which correlate with Pluto.

I have Saturn Square AS, which most defiantly gives me an awkward appearance. I usually always feel awkward in public or around people, so I come off as shy, prudish, and mean looking to people who don't know me.
Not only that, but I have Mercury Square AC, so when I communicate it can be awkward and uncomfortable looking & sounding. My mind and body don't really flow together.

However, I do have Uranus Trine Ascendant and I defiantly have an eccentric, almost electric appearance, I stand out where ever I go & always get noticed by random people and strangers. I get a lot of random compliments for my unique style and look.
I also have Sun Sextile AC which could also be why I get so much attention from the public. I can assert myself very powerfully & confidently, and people often respect me and are drawn to me. Even people I've never spoken to.

If anyone could give me more insight on these aspects please reply back to this! I'm on an endless journey trying to interpret myself.

Mercury square Asc is someone who's words gets misinterpreted by the world and often times can create miscommunication without realizing it! I have that so I sympathize.

You have a very Plutonian look when you have dark make-up (pretty sure Pluto rules all things dark including makeup!) and you probably do "scare" people off when you don't want to. Of all the difficult aspects of planets to AC, I think Pluto opp Asc people tend to give off the wrong first impression the most. People may think you "look" like trouble and stay away from that reason alone- even if you don't do anything to give them that reason.

Uranus trine AC is pretty fun, zany, and friendly. Those are the people who are willing to friend pretty much anyone, esp. those who are not easily accepted by the mainstream (such as nerds).

I have Sun trine AC and I can definitely see it in you where you can assert yourself positively. On good days, you do stick up for your ideas and friends. On days when you're not feeling up for tapping into your assertiveness, you just walk away. I think Sun positive to AC gives the person a "sturdy" and "positive" look.

Saturn square AC adds to miscommunication. You're dead on with your verbal not matching your body languages.

Overall, you're well meaning, friendly person but miscommunicate your intentions and can scare people off with your Plutonian appearance. Makes for a pretty fun first impression, I think LOL

thank you so much for your interpretations! i 100% agree with everything you explained. Espically the whole scaring people away thing cause of my looks. i have gotten so much judgement cause of my appearence when im actually a really nice person. & god i literally miscommunicate my life away. people often have a hard time understanding what im trying to say ( having mercury in pisces doesn't help). once again though, thank you so much!

Yeah, it's unfortunate with Pisces Mercury getting info confused and transmitting info in a fuzzy way. Although I'm Gemini Mercury, I tend to forgive Pisces Mercury for their little blips because they do try hard, but somehow end up still making strange little mistakes that can throw everything off course LOL! Pisces Mercury is actually very tolerant and open to all ideas- even ideas that don't make any sense LOL which is interesting. You probably like unusual looking people being that Uranus trines your Asc and unusual looking people are drawn towards you. On the surface, you're not mainstream, however on the inside, you want to be accepted and respected the regular way (Saturn square asc).

Mercury in Gemini sounds like a fortunate placement, you must have quite a strong, fast mind! And you're dead on, I tend to favor ideas that make less sense to most people. I have a very abstract way of communicating and viewing the world. I am highly intuitive and interpret everything symbolically and emotionally. For me I don't need any facts to believe something, if it feels right to me it is right! & You're correct again I love unusual people, being unusual myself i'm just drawn to weirdos! haha. I defiantly desire to be accepted though, its hard to fit in with people so i often feel detached from the world.

All my Pisces mercury friends are artists in some way via occupation. One was a psychic lol and Saturn did oppose his asc. He always wanted to be respected the traditional sense but felt like ppl enjoyed disrespecting him lol.

One of the major factors that influence the appearance is the duad of the Ascendant, it is so obvious that I am always surprised that it is overlooked.

For example, Scorpio rising is often rather dark in colouring and thickset, but if the Gemini section of Scorpio is rising then the person will be taller and more slender and often have freckles. If the Cancer section of Scorpio is rising then the person will have a more rounded appearance and paler skin ... and so on.

If you don't know your rising duad you can download a duad table at my website http://aliceportman.com under the duad section. There is also a duad calculator available to calculate your duad degree.

The other major factor is planets in exact aspect to the Ascendant, particularly in conjunction and opposition, as they can greatly affect the appearance.

Don't overlook the planetary Nodes as they can carry signatures of the planet itself. The Moon's South Node rising will often increase height and slenderness, North Node is a little more solid; both can give very good looks at times. With these points the orb needs to be within one degree.

One of the best ways to see how a planet affects physical appearance is through the Solar Fire search engine; you can ask it to bring up all charts with, for example, Venus conjunct Ascendant, and can then clearly see the Venusian signature influenced by the sign and duad of whatever sign is rising.

A new book is out called "The Sixty Different Faces of the Zodiac" by Edward Kadecka. He just uses signs and decanates, but you can apply his observations to duads as well. This book has illustrations and photographs to describe the various charateristics of the signs of the zodiac.

That's funny you said I'm fortunate to have Gemini mercury because the only people who outright praise Gemini mercury tend to be Pisces mercury and other Gemini mercury people. Virgo mercury respects Gemini and are allies but won't praise lol

Ha I would think so...I'm a rising Aries with ruling Mars in Scorpio and I have a "tough, headstrong look" - prominent brow and nose. Not sure if I would call it athletic with a solar Sagittarian influence. I know for certain I didn't get my height from that department at only 5'0". I also have a distinctive walk and I hate to dawdle. Naturally I look down but when you grow up playing in woods and creeks, it's instinctive to check where you place your next step.

Physically I am not going to judge myself, it's too difficult! I think I have a lot of Saturn in my temperament, actually. I use to stay alone, sometimes I am too intense and difficult to deal with. Actually, I am really difficult, because the people use to avoid me many times. It is probably also because of my Pluto in Ist house square the Sun in Xth.
