Transits alone don't always produce concrete 'outer events' sometimes in fact most times the event happens 'within-- between the ears' --- Natal planets show what is being affected and transits show how

Transits
astro.com has fee six month transit forecast plus when you get into Extended chart selection, look at the three tabs after calculating a chart under ‘method’ default is circular wheels (on left), middle is special charts and in their you get graphic ephemeris 1yr (or 5years) with natal = transits for 1yr and lots more. BUT you first must learn or memorise the 'glyphs' ie: shorthand for recognising what these maps/graphics mean.

For example when you post or reply to a chart the 'smilies' to the right and just under them [more] if you click on there it will bring up a whole loads of 'glyphs' Mercury Uranus conjunction (+or - 8') trine aspect 120' Libra

For researching past events you need an ephemeris

Mostly it's maths --finding what transiting planet is aspecting your natal chart --- BUT depending on how that natal chart is 'aspected natally' will depend on how the transit will affect you. If it's badly challenged with lots of squares, conjunctions and oppositions and say T Jupitermade a conj, trine or sextile, in fact most of jupiter's transit's are usually beneficial --- then some opportunities should present themselves.

Now if T Saturn were to 'set off or trigger' a T Square in your chart that would create a 'temporary Grand Square' causing lots of tension, challenges and poss obstacles. But then again it could form a grand trine where structure hard work just came easy and fell into place

Re: any predictive websites

There's a wonderful article at skyscript about how Gauricus predicted the death of Henry II. It's in PDF, but you can find the intro page here:

http://www.skyscript.co.uk/gauricus.html

Skyscript in general has a lot of first-rate articles on it.

A very very good article on economic predictions (current) is in the second number of The Tradition Journal. It's five euros, donated to charity, and well worth the price if you're interested in predictive astrology. The article is called 'Credit Crunch, Boom Bust' and runs 30 pages or so. Find that one here:

http://www.thetraditionjournal.com/issue2.html

The magazine is also in PDF format.
