Liberal, Secular Europe=Aquarian

In mundane astrology, the most assigned sign for the European continent or the EU (European Union) is Taurus. But following the Parans chart, the ruler sign is in descendant (7th house) and you find the 4th house sign is what influences a certain geographical place, therefore Europe is Aquarian.

Yes, this makes lots of sense. Most of the EU is rather liberal and secular, which is what Aquarius is all about, an Aquarian country or society has huge attributes of reform and social change. Europeans are comparably more left-wing than the USA, oddly enough, Europeans view American politics as too "radical" or opposite what Europeans are traditionally for.

Two other signs have an effect on Europe in politics, society and culture: Pisces (the dominance of Christianity there for nearly 2,000 years) and Aries (the hypothetical "Aryan" or Indo-European ancestors arrived 5,000 years ago). Not sure Aries rules "Aryan" tribes, but Pisces' symbol is a fish, also the symbol of Christianity then persecuted by the Roman empire.

Europe became more Aquarian since the end of WWII (esp northern and western portions), 1970s (the less developed southern) and before 2000 (eastern after the fall of communism), to totally rejected totalitarian monarchy and fascism, and widely adopted social democracy and capitalism.

Reviving this thread, it came to me: The USA may be the beacon of liberty and a democratic role-model country, but looking at the parans chart of its birth date (July 4, 1776- Cancer), the sign represent the USA is Aries, about war and military, and it's no surprise the USA is the lone global superpower. Aries is a rather conservative sign, more emphasis on tradition, morality and religion. Aries is stricter in thought process than Aquarius (I'm an Aquarius sun/moon myself) and Americans, it turns out (I'm American too) have a set of taboos or avoidance, due to our puritan foundations and anti-communism in the cold war.

And places in the world with strong Gemini complexes in their parans charts. It might explain Germany's place and California's reputation in today's world.

The Federal Republic of Germany (independent May 21, 1949) - Parans chart sign Aquarius/ Pisces, May 21st is the cusp of Taurus and Gemini. When the 2 Germanies reunified on Oct 3, 1990-Libra, under an Aries full moon- Gemini was rising. Both West and reunified Germany under the influence of Gemini have "double" cultural or regional personalities: The "new states" and Bavaria are culturally and economically distinct from "old" West or "North" Germany. The majority of "High" Germans like Bavaria are catholic and the former East Germany has a less developed economy, although reunification upgraded their living standards, esp. post-1990 East merged with West Berlin. And Germany's Geminian energy of a very high development index.

The US State of California (admitted Sep 9, 1850) - Parans chart Gemini. Cal is one of the world's high-tech computer, corporate business and media culture centers. Northern and Southern CA have distinct personalities, San Francisco (Bay area) and Los Angeles are liberal, except So CA is more Republican than Nor Cal is majority Democratic. The area north of the 40 Latitude and the San Joaquin valley are generally conservative areas - then again the counties north of Sacramento are Republican, south of there are Democrat. If California was an independent country, it would be the 7th world's largest economy as the United States of America depends on the most populous state, despite it's location the opposite from the Northeast Corridor states (40 million people - 4 million in L.A., half of NYC's size).

And something about my hometown Indio, CA (incorporated May 16, 1930) and Riverside County (formed May 20, 1893) - the sun in Taurus but within that house, Gemini shows up. The parans shows a mixed Aquarius/Pisces. You have a combination of strong social liberalism and progressive future thought (Aquarian) with a tendency to be fiscal conservative while being outside Los Angeles (60-120 miles) to have a small town character (Piscean), but there are some highly affluent communities (Pisces' access to financial wealth) which sits nearby lower-income towns (Aquarius' conscientious rejection of materialism). And the Gemini duality symbolism of mixed race, culture and income class characteristics, note Riverside and Palm Springs are considered two regions in a county, and the city of Indio has an "old town" which is mostly Hispanic/Latino working class and a "new side" which is not. Like California's political geography, each part of the Palm Springs area is known for qualities: Palm Springs-Liberal Democrat (50% LGBT community), Palm Desert-Liberal Republican (large elderly population, esp. New Yorker, Canadian and Pacific Northwest seasonal residents, upper-income majority), Indio-Conservative Democrat (ethnic cultural values are strong, but wants less income disparity) and Yucca Valley-Conservative Republican (there's a Marine Corps military base there). The congressional and state assembly maps finds the county is GOP-dominated, except the city of Indio (PS area's largest) and Riverside (CA's 11th largest city at 320,000) are Democratic.

Gemini and Aquarius creates and changes, Taurus and Pisces is wealth and luxury. Taurus and Gemini are about success, Aquarius and Pisces are about the future. And Taurus and Aquarius are liberal progressive types, Gemini and Pisces less so with their own versions of what we call conservatism and capitalism (current US President Donald Trump is Gemini and the 40th US president Ronald Reagan an Aquarius, both were former Democrat voters). And Reagan was state governor of California, 1967-75 as a conservative Republican, despite the state's image of post-1960 Democratic liberalism. This is Gemini in its best (or worst) - you have Silicon Valley and Hollywood, but you have Central Valley and Orange County (red hearts of a blue state).

And last but not least, check their charts of their moon signs, you find out more about their sociopolitical, geographic and spiritual character this way.
