Why must the pig always fail at its goals?

As the least capable astrological sign in the Lunar Zodiac it seems the Pig's life is fraught with failure after failure. Can anyone explain why this is?

Why must the Boar always fail perpetually at being able to direct its life via its own wishes and desires? Furthermore why must it also lose all its material possessions in the process? Is there any point in the sign holding out any hope for its longterm goals in the future, or is it inherent in the nature of all things that this symbol can never ever find the contentedness it seeks?

Perhaps most crucially, it is said that the Pig is 'born enlightened' yet is the last sign to find enlightenment - thereby implying that with every passing day the boar gets more and more stupid.

Ultimately, from much research and reading between the lines, I am forced to conclude that, in the grand scheme of things, Pigs, and especially Scorpio Pigs, are the least viable of all iterations of human life.

If one is to counter this position, please explain in practical terms what activities are available to this sign in order to fulfill its goals, hopes and ideals, while minimizing the dangers of loss. In particular, how can this sign profit, while achieving what it has set out to do, as so many others unequivocably succeed in doing?

Re: Why must the pig always fail at its goals?

Hi Thelps, Im new to this particular subject here at AW and I have been studying Chinese astrology for a short while now and your comments on the "pig" personality drew my attention. I am sorry that I cannot answer your question but perhaps you can help me with mine:
I am a wood dragon and I have noticed that almost all of my significant relationships have been with Pigs! In my opinion they are the nicest, sweetest animal sign there is but as far as their lives go I never saw that they had the problems that you outlined above, however, I have noticed that my 'pig' friends were all passive-aggressive personalities. Is this a common characteristic?

Thanks for you help!

That's an interesting spin on the question.

If all Pigs are Passive-Aggressive then what psychological condition would you attribute to the other 11 signs?

Please understand that I was not intentionally meaning to be judgemental about the animal pig. This is just what I've noticed about all of the 'pigs' in my life as I have a lot of significant others that are pigs. (That's why I asked you if passive-agressiveness was common to pigs in general). I have also known a couple of roosters and monkeys, too; my son is a dog. The 'dog' personality I've noticed as far as my son is concerned is a noble young man and loyal.

Just my dos centavos!

I can't accurately explain why you'd find Pigs to be passive-aggressive. Perhaps they're just passive and that's interpreted as a form of aggression? Generally speaking they don't 'contrive' much, from what I understand.

Regardless, this thread is kinda derailed. I'm not a professional astrologer. Maybe start a thread with a title describing your problem?

Ill explain myself one more time. As pleasant and as clear as Ive tried to be I get the feeling you are not happy with my posts/me. All I said was that I know a lot of pigs in chinese astrology and this is hardly a problem for me. I assumed by your post about pigs that you know about them; you didnt mince your words. I was just asking you if passive-aggressive qualities were common to the pig. Just a question, nothing sinister about it. And Im sorry if I derailed your thread it wasnt my intention.

Blessings to you
