Does the houses (1-12) follow the arrangement of the zodiac, from aries to pisces?

So if that would be the case, I think that in the chart of the person, the signs are at home with respect to the houses.

My 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th houses, being in cardinal, are in fixed signs.
Namely, scorpio, aquarius, taurus and leo.

My 2nd 5th, 8th and 11th houses, being in fixed, are in the mutable signs. Namely, sagittarius, pisces, gemini, and virgo respectively.

My 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th houses, being in mutable, are in the cardinal signs. Namely, capricorn, aries, cancer, and libra respectively.

Also my house placements are opposites in elements.

My 1st 5th and 9th houses, being in fire signs, are occupied by water signs, scorpio, pisces and cancer.

My 2nd 6th and 10th houses, being in earth signs, are occupied by fire houses, sagittarius, aries and leo.

My 3rd 7th and 11th houses, being in air signs, are occupied by earth signs, capricorn, taurus and virgo.

My 4th 8th and 12th houses, being in water signs, are occupied by air signs, aquarius, gemini and libra, respectively.

What can you infer from these placements?

Not all information are equal. A reading of natal charts usually proceed in some kind of order. As for me, I start with the Ascendant. Then, I compare that with the Sun sign. After that, I look for Saturn in the chart. Or, I look for the usual patterns. For some patterns, the dominant planet is sometimes apparent. At this point, I can already see a theme emerging. Then, I look for specific and familiar aspects with known interpretations.

A house to house analysis is not necessary when the "problem areas" are immediately identified. More often than not, the owner of the chart is interested in the issues manifested by the "problem areas."

Anyway, it's too overwhelming to analyze everything. Even if you can, you wouldn't be sure if your interpretation is correct. So, focusing on the high probability reading is better.

signs and houses, to Zodiacal

Zodiacal,

You asked:
Does the houses (1-12) follow the arrangement of the zodiac, from aries to pisces? So if that would be the case, I think that in the chart of the person, the signs are at home with respect to the houses. My 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th houses, being in cardinal, are in fixed signs.

Yes, in modern astrology, there is a connection between the house and signs, with the first house being about Aries-type things, the 2nd house being about Taurus type things, etc. However, there is a major difference between signs an houses: signs are about energy while houses are about what you focus on. So the signs on the edge (cusp) of a house indicates the energy you bring to the focus of the house. With Security (Fixed) energy on the cusp of the Action (Cardinal) houses, you try to be "secure" when focusing on action in your life. You may "dig in" with the actions you focus on in yourself, home, relationships, and career (the four Action houses).

Explaining,

Tim

May I suggest you read the 'welcome sticky' at the top of this forum? It has some great explanations, links etc and also has links to forum rules & regs...At the top of every forum there are lots of ‘stickys’ which explain matters in that forum, along with guidelines, tips and forum rules

Houses: angular houses 1/7 4/10 the energies of planets placed here are obvious cos it's your 'shop window' visible for everyone to see. Next the succeedent houses 2/8 & 5/11 the energies in these houses are not in shop window the are in the shop, but stood behind the counter, ready to come out when needed. Lastly, cadent houses 6/12 & 3/9 these houses/planets are not in shop window or stood behind the counter, they are in the back storeroom and only come out when 'triggered' or an emergency and much harder to recognise and access...

The houses are like the backdrop of a stage, the setting if you like, the planets are like actors and the aspects are how the planets behave in that settings/stage....

Astrology is not about sitting home on the couch eating nachos and waiting for the planets to make good things happen in your life. It is always your responsibility to work towards making your own dreams come true. Horoscopes simply help you to schedule your actions for the best possible outcome
