Please recommend beginner's books to study traditional only astrology. And when I say beginner's I mean dumb beginners.
Also, are there any good online courses for traditional astrology?
Thanks.
I frequently visit many internet sites, including cafeastrology, but I have no way of knowing anything about the quality of these websites. Also, most of them are non-traditional, rather modern ones. I have the charts from astro.com as well, which is indeed an excellent source. Thanks for the suggestions.
Thanks, Vista, great resource! Here's what I've gathered so far:
"Christian Astrology" by William Lilly (Regulus facsimile edition)
"The Combination of Stellar Influences" by Reinhold Ebertin

A practical guide to traditional astrology by Robert Crane
The Art Of Predictive Astrology-Carol Rushman
Identifying Planetary Triggers-Teal
Predicting Events With Astrology-Teal

I am trying to stay away from the karmic/psychoanalytical type of astrology. Do u believe that, with the above mentioned books, I am on the right track?
Art of Predictive Astrology: Forecasting your life events (Carol Rushman) and Solar Arcs, Astrology's Most Successful Predictive System (Noel Tyl).
I found this in my own files...might be too long and will have to post a couple times. This isn't my opinion on books, just what I copy and pasted into word.Vista, I am a very tiny bit past the rulers and aspects, yet have no clear sense of direction. When I say traditional astrology, I mean no karmic/psychoanalytical stuff, just the plain nitty-gritty of good, solid old fashioned astrology. My desire to learn traditional astrology stems from trying to help a dear friend (see my Mental Ilness or Drug Abuse post). Does this make sense?
Holy smokes, Vista. Now I feel like a dwarf
This is truly, a goldmine. I will need to quit my day job.
Thanks a bunch. This is great.

These are all fine books, although Lilly's Christian astrology could be a little confusing simply because the way he writes is back from the 15th century so you might have to read through it a few times.
Haha! thanks, took that one out.
what do you mean, which house system to use? so far, i am on the equal.
17th Century, actually, although I agree with the rest. It takes some reading over to understand Lilly. Some revised editions are easier to understand, however.
I'm not talking about the actual house system, I'm talking about "1st House = Aries = Mars" logic that moderners LOVE to perpetuate in their complete ignorance.
