Lottery

Hiya Claire! How do I post my chart on here? I was right about the government! I think Saturn conjunct Venus/Jupiter indicates big amount! Glad your dad is living a full life. 92 is a long time! I understand the 2nd/5th/8th houses have further meaning. Since we are in a lottery post, I jotted down what planets/signs/houses mean the most for a jackpot win.
Yes Saturn rules the government and conjunct Venus Jupiter in some people's charts can mean earning big bucks through a government sponsored lottery syndicate too. They would need really good aspects coming in from elsewhere though too. THey may also be responsible and mature about how they spend the money.

Go to Astrodienst and get a chart done for free. Then save it to a personal file and name it. Use the paper clip symbol on here to attach it.
Remember it has to be around 600 x 600 in size or less. If you want it anonymous then click that box in Astrodienst. I wouldnt bother about the fixed stars and asteroids but I use Chiron........
If you want to give me your details anonymised if you wish then I can do it for you. JUst go to my private messages.

Cheers

I have Sun in the 6th actually but sextile Jupiter in the 8th again the tie in with the work colleagues.
I never have played cards for money, no. You see my Saturn in Leo on the 5th cusp means I am cautious with gambling. I have Saturn in Leo parents who frowned on it and never indulged either.
My birth chart does indicate wins yes. I have posted it elsewhere. I was not into astrology when I won big but looking back I can see the trends.

Recently I had Saturn from the 8th sextile Saturn in Leo on 6th cusp and won a fluffy big toy lion at a shopping centre. In a machine for $2 that everyone says no one ever wins.... hee hee:biggrin:

Yes, you've posted you have Sun in the 6th house. Silly me.. sorry .

I was wondering if the timing of transits of houses make a difference in winning the lottery, for example, if at 7 a.m. taurus is in the 2nd house which conjucts natal jupiter, it would be best to gamble someting at that time?
Jupiter conjunct the 2nd house cusp??? any connection to the 5th house at all??? I knew someone who knew they had a certain window of time and was on a game show and won two cars but knew if they continued on they would lose. He was a well known astrologer. SO timing can be crucial. We need intimate knowledge and it is quite complex with many factors.

My brother's chart surprised me, I started paying attention after he won $500 on a scratch ticket in jan or feb. Right now jupiter is transiting his 5th house, applying towards his natal sun/jup conjunction... i told him to play the lottery every chance he gets, and he agreed, then didn't play the 260 mil jackpot from a week or so ago..

The thing is, he only has a few of the Lois R. requirements, I think it was like 4 or 5 when I looked at it ages ago.

Anyone think he can win? He wants to know if he has a chance because the boy is cheap and doesn't want to "waste" a few bucks if there's no way...

Look at the time of conjunctions and you might find that people will wait for them and nothing happens.

IMO we already experience the event, but the reality sinks in at the conjunction as to what it is we need or needed do or learn.

With gambling we might pisck better times then others, but a lot has to do with destiny also.

We cannot change destiny I think.

One can have intuition to it also.

Once I knew a certain machne would payoff ,but did not have the money to play it.A person walked over and won like $1000.

If you work in or go to a casino it is strange that certain machines will payoff more then others I think.Figure that one out.

I saw one story were a guy had like $10 and was out of lluck. He decided to play this machine on a whim before heading home in Vegas as he was a cabbie and won one of the biggest payouts there ever was.

So much has to do with destiny.some like being a stock market guru has to do with talent.
I agree that the birth chart shows the potentials for wins and nothing will change that, no transit or whatever. All in life is timing and astrology gives us that. We all know that the gaming machines are rigged and no one really wins out unless they walk away with a large win with a small investment. I agree that intuition or guidance can play a big part or hunches as we say. I would like to see that cabbie's chart.

I dont agree with Lois Rodden's assessments I have to say when I read them. I am a lottery winner myself and I know what kicked mine off.

However there is a strong chance of a win for your brother. Stronger than I have seen on other charts on the forum. If it were me I would be taking a chance with all the money I can afford. The 5th house relates to more than gambling and speculation and it is hard to say for sure but it looks good. Best of luck. I will say that if he involved family such as yourself the chances are increased. So if you can afford to put a little money in with him, go for it.

The aspects are Jupiter conjunct Sun in the 5th transitting and with a natal Sun Jupiter connection. THe Moon in the 8th trine Mars in the 4th can suggest shared monies with family especially siblings as it is in Gemini. The 2nd house is ruled by Jupiter also for personal income and assets. Neptune there which rules the 5th sextile Mars in the 4th. exact..... However it is not well aspected apart from that. SO there are some promising aspects offset by not so good. The Uranus and Moon transitting the 5th are not valid as there are no connections in the natal chart. Fingers crossed.

Wow. I have about 6 of the positions you've mentioned. The most I've ever won is like 12 bucks in the Super Lotto in my state, but I've won it several times. ;) I play every week and just won 3 dollars the other night. :D
Would you be kind enough to post a chart?? I would like to see the trends for wins. Just research.... I am a lottery winner myself, not huge but substantial.

thats hard... so in the end its all destiny? whats the point in playing? geez..
If you know that you are not about to win big then you can save your money. If you like to dabble and enjoy it then go ahead. I know that I have limited success and only at certain times so I just save my money and dont waste it fruitlessly. I feel sorry for the addicts though that have no chance of winning big. That is tragic.

hey, thanks for this, I'm definitely on board with bankrolling a few tickets, Jeremy isn't a hopeful person, he's pretty sure things won't work out in general and he's also cheap, so if I pay for the tickets he'd be more eager to try than if I told him to play and pay himself, even though it's just a few dollars. This is a guy who once told my mom "I need my change, I gave you 20 cents too much" and oh how I laughed...

if we win we'll buy you a car =]

2 weeks ago, transit Venus was conjunct with my natal jupiter and DC at the same time! That day I won a trip and went out with a guy I really like, just to note that we hadn't seen each other for 3 years!

I have a 5th house Uranus which is sxt my 2nd house sun and trine 8th house Saturn. At this time, with T. Uranus trine N. Uranus, I've been buying some lotto tics. I try to do it while the moon is moving through my 5th. I hope its not a fruitless waste. And I wonder if most people have a chance of winning something if the timing is right.

The following is taken from the late Lois M. Rodden's book MONEY HOW TO FIND IT WITH ASTROLOGY. According to Lois, only those with the following aspects stand a good chance of winning. Those without these aspects shouldn't even bother playing because it will never happen. However you might still win smaller prizes that don't really change your life much.

"The following patterns are those which are observed to be most obvious and consistent:

1. The Moon in a trine or grand trine...

2. Natal Jupiter in at least one trine.

3. Natal Jupiter in aspect to Neptune....

4. Natal Mars in aspect to Jupiter or Neptune.

5. Natal or progressed Venus or Jupiter in aspect to Uranus...

6. Natal or progressed Venus or Jupiter retrograde.

7. Natal Pluto conjunct or opposite the ruler of the second house within four or five degrees...

8. A close natal sesquisquare between two planets..."

I have many of these markers and am lucky to win a set of Glasses.

[deleted overly-long quote against forum rules - Moderator]
Whereas I agree that Jupiter and Venus are strong markers and if in good aspect especially with the 5th, 8th and perhaps 2nd I dont see the accuracy in the generalised points that are quoted here. Also Jupiter retrograde would reverse any fortunes. I can see that Pluto in the 8th opposing ruler of 2nd house can bring in increased assets, maybe....

Sesquisquares I dont even use, they are minor and would not be influential at all and to say between two planets is so general.

Again we are better to research real life cases and not what may be quoted online.......there is so much misinformation that I find it quite dismaying..

Can you post your chart??

I have to say that only a certain few will win big in lottery as it is decreed from birth shall we say. There can be great aspects to the 5th etc but that can mean other things such as children, lovers and our creative expression as well as our leisure pursuits.

YOu certainly have a few indications there and I would spend money that I can afford on it. Good luck. If you can have tickets with family or other people your chance of syndicate wins or those that are shared that belongs to the 8th house, it would be best. THat happened to me.

Hey!!! Uranus through the 5th is also astrology interests and you may become pregnant as a surprise if that is at all valid to your circumstances.

Good luck and wait to hear!!!

Hi Claire19. Thanks for your reply. It's interesting what you say about buying tics w/ family members. My son has an 8th house jupiter (just two degrees from my n. Mars) and it's applying to Uranus which is just barely in the 6th.
I think my 5th house Uranus does have something to do w/ my astrology interest (as well as my 12th Mars which is in Aquarius). I'm too old to become pregnant now but I have a goat that is pregnant...again. She just had a baby almost 2 mos ago. Anyway, here's my chart. I do believe it is decreed from birth but I wonder if any astrologer really knows all the "rules" of who can win and who can't. It seems like it would be kind of like death. You can vividly see it in the chart afterwards...but it's not so obvious before it happens.
Thanks again...cin

I will look at your chart for sure. I do think hindsight is a wonderful thing especially with astrology. However I think that there are basics that are adhered to with any influence. I believe that Venus and Jupiter have to be in the mix for sure. If you share a ticket then looking at the other chart is also helpful. I have studied a few charts for big wins that I know are accurate and there are certain themes. Goats are so cute by the way and a baby even more so. She would belong to your 6th house...
The 5th house has to be involved and the 8th if it is a syndicate but the 2nd doesnt always figure although the ruler would perhaps.
However Uranus is more the astrological interest as you say. Especially as it rules the 12th as it does mine. I have an 8th Jupiter too and if your son's is well aspected I would definitely go with him. It also depicts inheritance and bank loans as well as possible gifts or wins.

Be in touch

Cheers

If you can post your chart with progressions and transits for the times you buy the lottery ticket buys that would be great. I see that Uranus is in good aspect with Saturn in the 8th but that promises only limited wins if at all.
THe ruler Pluto is in the 6th Leo and conjunct Jupiter but there are squares to the Saturn in the 8th....So work syndicates or with colleagues may cause conflicts and not really a huge win there. Your Venus in the 4th is trine Neptune near the 8th cusp from the 7th but that is more partnership gains and family connections....if at all. I am looking at your chart from purely lottery aspects or wins.

HOwever our progressions cannot give what is not promised in the natal chart however strong they may appear. Venus for money and Jupiter for largesse have to be involved somehow. Venus rules your 2nd of personal income and assets but again I feel it is connected to your partnership. Saturn from the 8th is squaring Jupiter so I dont feel there will be big wins but if you enjoy a little speculation then go with family members and you may share in something.

The danger is in posing these sort of questions is that it can rob us of hope but then also save us money which can be channelled more profitably. I know those who I have informed that they will never win big but they continue to buy tickets........so be it. They dont fully trust the stars or my interpretation and it amuses me that so many people think that they deserve a windfall automatically because they want it so badly. They dont believe in the concept of karma...... I dont believe in luck only karmic credit and debit........enough of my sermonising.

Cheers

Thanks again Claire. I don't see how I can post a biwheel but it is interesting that you asked about progressions. Right now the sun has just progressed over my moon which on the equal house system is right on my 5th cusp. Also, Venus is just now progressing to my natal sun. I thought the sun moving into the 5th might bring me an opportunity for a win. But then again, Jupiter has progressed to an exact square w/ Saturn so that might be preventing any gain that way. I think we all have different "channels" where money comes to us. For some it may be the lotto, others an inheritance and yet for others, through some type of work so they have to earn it. And Venus seems to be the key...and like you said Jupiter seems to be connected w/ large gains. In my case, it seems complicated. Even though I have a Venus trine Neptune, my second house has a stressed sun so in this life time, I may have to work hard for money, which I pretty much do. I am a graphic artist w/ constant deadlines to meet, sometimes spur of the moment deadlines. I do like to play guitar and write songs though...that brings me comfort. I might get some small inheritance...but as far as a partnership I don't see that now. I'm such a loner.
