I have worked since I was 15, have an MBA in International Business and an undergrad degree from a prestigious art school. First year I had a mysterious illness (aka chronic fatigue) recovered and then this whole past year I can't seem to find work. I thought this Saturn transit would enhance my career so WTF? Now that Saturn is moving on will I finally go back to having a source of income? Advice would be majorly appreciated :)

Katastro, your 10th house is in Scorpio, and Saturn has been moving through Virgo lately.

You had a Saturn return recently. Is that what you are talking about? Than probably it is your 1st house matters (1st house is ruled by Saturn) - the way you approach the world, self-image - is where the lesson was/is to be learned.

er - katastro - if that's your natal chart, then you have had Saturn transiting your 8th house, which may have something to do with your unemployment and low energy. This has also included your Saturn Return, which is meant to redirect you in your material/physical life.

Uranus has been transiting your 2nd house - material values and resources - for quite a few years now, and being in Pisces, and still in the 2nd house, this may be the source of your unemployment. Uranus tends to grab your life and turn it upsidedown, particularly when you're least expecting it.

I think you are being redirected. I suspect that self-employment may be a possibility, but that's just a stab in the dark, given you have Scorpio on the MC, and this is one where self-direction is necessary.

Transiting Saturn is also squaring your natal Sun in the 12th, which tends to block your path, but only to test to check if the direction you have chosen is valid.

I would also suggest that you re-post your natal chart, but use the default chart created at astro.com. This chart would be easier to read, since it has the degrees of planets, and an aspect grid, all of which helps to make reading a chart easier.

PS. I posted at the same time as iwonder.

Thanks Raven, here is my natal chart. I am pretty sure my friends are sick of my couch surfing but I am over/under qualified for everything. I am ready for a new chapter without a doubt. Interesting with the transit that I would have been low energy with chronic fatigue - never looked at that aspect during the transit. Thanks so much for your help, it is encouraging to at least understand what the astro climit is around these frustrations :)

BTW Raven, I used to live in Australia too. Such a wonderful country and great people. The nature was just breathe taking. I went to University of Sydney for the Masters of International Business program for two years and enjoyed my time there thoroughly.

Thanks for putting up another chart, katastro. This is so much easier to read.

For your health, I'd look at the interception of Virgo in your 8th house, where Saturn transiting Virgo will tend to dredge up any underlying health issues which you may have been previously running from. Your natal Saturn is also in (intercepted) Virgo in the 8th, and is square to natal Neptune, so the health issues are actually `telling' you something which you may be trying to ignore. I'd ask myself questions like:

  • do I actually like/enjoy the work I have been doing?
  • what do I need to do to create more job satisfaction?
Things like that may lead you somewhere you need to go. Chronic fatigue is always a `voice from the unconscious' telling you that all is not well, and that there is `something' in your life which is not working well for you. Any significant transit to the water houses - 4th, 8th & 12th - has the potential for opening you up to what is actually happening deep inside yourself.

And this brings me to transiting Pluto through your 12th house - and before long it will be crossing your Asc & Mars conjunction. I also suspect that some of what you are currently experiencing is because of the combination of Saturn and Pluto's transits, plus the Triple Conjunction in Aquarius - since earlier this year - having crossed into your 2nd house. All of this is bound to re-arrange your material life in keeping with deep changes within your unconscious mind.

Now, I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment, but I'd suggest that you look up - Google it perhaps - Pluto crossing your Cap Asc, and forming a conjunction with Mars in transit. You are going to need to work with Pluto, ratherr than resist where it is taking you. I suspect that there are deep issues around authority/father/men which you have a need to unravel b4 you work out your next step.

Maybe you need to come back!! We haven't been nearly so affected by the economic situation.

You have calculated your chart using the default on astro.com of placidus and I use Equal House system and am a modern astrologer. Lots of people that come into Astrology get their free charts calculated at www.astro.com and the default ‘house system’ used is Placidus and think that’s just the norm and all that there is……..BUT that is just the tip of the iceberg. You can change the default on astro.com in Extended Chart selection to Equal house and a few more.

Throughout the forums but mainly in natal astrology there are two main branches Placidus (unequal size houses) v Equal House (whereby each house is same size) but lots more……. For more information on these go here.

It's only with study and research will you be able to assess where your planets are deposited and in which houses... thus see which 'glove fits'

Now in Equal house your moon is in 9th and this invarably suggests emigrating or living abroad.

T Jupiter is going through your 2nd house of how you earn your income, beliefs and personal values. Info on your saturn return below...

Saturn Return
Saturn takes 30 years or so to complete its circuit around the zodiac so events that occur around the age of 29-30, 58-59 and 80-81 will be of great significance to the native, depending on the strength and aspects to natal saturn.

Now in Equal Pluto is in 10th and venus/uranus is in 11th and mercury, neptune and sun all in 12th house, the house of isolation, self undoing

Chiron conj IC suggests to wounding from family, childhood and home roots. Saturn square neptune is a 'fear of the unknown' and can become a bit depressive. Cappi Asc is rather reserved, sombre, cautious and serious sign. Now having your sun conj neptune in 12th suggests you were poss not encouraged to develop your ego energies enough in childhood and this created a 'non clear self image' and poss identity crisis in teenage years.

I agree T Pluto is a biggie coming up suggesting a total transformation of your life over at least 12months poss 2years and try and read and much as you can of this.

Yeah Im a sag too and I am in the same situation AND I am not in the middle of a Saturn return so that has nothing to do with this. It's funny I found this thread because Neptune is not going direct and leaving my 10th house and I was hoping to find some explanation of why Ive worked my whole life and been successful until Neptune entered my 10th house. I also have Saturn there Natal. Everyone keeps saying how awesome this transit is? Really?? I think Im missing the awesome here. :crying:

Saturn is the Lord of Karma and master teacher, but really he's trying to teach us about ourselves. It wants us to be responsible, hard working, dutiful and learn our Lessons properly, so they won't have to keep being repeated. Therefore, is usually suggests things slowing down, delays, limitations and restrictions so we can learn these Lessons.

What Saturn does is 'test' what is of value to you and what is working in your life. It wants structure and hard work. If something isn't working--- it may well end--- so something better can be put in it's place.

Now Neptune dissolves things, causes confusion, illusions and rose tinted glasses especially if in hard aspect to Angles or planets. It can be a spiritual, artistic awakening, but there are not many people who can advance or benefit their lives (unless there is natal potential of course) with Neptune. But having said this if you are 'supposed' to be Learning a Lesson in this life and Neptune draws a veil accross your mind so you don't see things clearly enough to be objective--- then this pawn in chess has done it's job....

Neptune in 10th can 'wear a mask' like an actor and hide behind a uniform or play a part careerwise, or what you are known for, but it is not the whole sum of who you are as a person. Saturn in 10th suggests one parent was absent, ineffectual or it could go the other way-- they could be a strong disciplinarian.

Mars rising in your chart looks to be quite dynamic and from this position alone, there surely has to be nothing wrong with your capacity for hard work once you find your niche, but I wonder how easy it might be to really project yourself positively?

Capricorn Ascendant, Virgo Moon can be a little self-critical and modest, whilst your Sagittarius Sun is 'hidden' in the 12th House.

The chart you put up does not appear to show the exact planetary positions, but I would be curious to know if your Mercury is on the midpoint of your Moon and Saturn? - there appear to be some wide squares anyway, making an even stronger statement of self-doubt and worry, with some inhibitions over the way you communicate - if the Mercury is on the midpoint of these, then you might certainly wish to work on strengthening your confidence in these areas. And finding ways to tackle stress: this may be positon that could take its tolls on your delicate nervous system.

Communication can involve both verbal and non-verbal cues - maybe some kind of an interviews skills training could help you?

I'm just relating to the other Sag's... The last two yrs have been strange, and this past yr I haven't been able to get a job- still unemployed-either under/over qualified. I'm moving home to live with my parents (they are 1500 miles away right now) b/c I have no money now and I'm really wondering why I have 3 degrees if I can't even get a job. lol

katastro- my birthday is a couple days before yours. *hugs*
