Cancer in Relationships - stay or go?

Will a Cancer leave an emotionally unsatisfying relationship (with another Cancer, for example) or will he stay out of fear of change?

Cancers crave stability and fear change - so from that angle he may be inclined to stay with the "devil he knows'.

But they are also attention and sympathy, appreciation and applause junkies - so when he feels he does not get it, will he be able to break the ties?

When both partners are Cancers - would their identical (and thus unfulfilled) need to be appreciated and praised lead them to end it, or would their identical clinginess hold them in their personal little hell forever and ever?

A lot of people stay in unsatisfactory relationships out of fear of change. Not just Cancers.

If this is about your own relationship, please post natal charts, synastry and composite. You can create those at astro.com. It makes no sense to have a general discussion about how 'a Cancer' would behave as it's much more complicated than just having a certain Sun sign.

It is not about my relationship at all. My best gf, a Cancer, is now with a Cancer man. Things are rocky - she asked me to do astrological 'forecast', and everything I read suggests two Cancers are not a good match, at least in the young age.

Actually, two of anything is the best match unless there are other indicators on the chart, with no variance between the signs. It's both effortless and a hard aspect/non-stagnant by sign. What we perceive in people/too much common sense does not work in astrology. What does work is taking a purely logical structure and then applying it to real life. Astrology is rather counter-intuitive in many many ways.

If two Cancers had a bad relationship, they'd leave, especially if the Suns were in conjunction. When there is conjunction, all the variances would be based on the rest of the chart and have nothing to do directly with their Suns being in Cancer. If there was semisextile, there would be a lot of adjustment required and it probably wouldn't start in the first place with any sign.

You need to understand there is far far more to astrology than just ‘sun signs’ firstly there are 10planets in the sky and 12houses and any one of these 10planets can be in any one of these 12 houses – so there’s 144 possible combinations there –

What is vitally important is your ‘time of birth’ and nearest town and then go to free website like astro.com to calculate your natal chart, you may have to reduce the image in Extended chart selection to 63% save to your hard drive, then upload here.

Also, aspects are more important than signs. We all know and love our Sun (or dominant) signs but there's much more to it than that. It's so complicated it'll blow your mind. But complexity is what makes it more interesting than a lot of other related things. It's (mostly) neat and (entirely) logical and makes sense.
