Hello
When I look at synastry charts, and how compatible 2 people are, there are some things I consider.
For example, firstly I would look at Sun, Moon and Ascendant in each chart and how they relate to each other. If there is no good sign or aspect relationship between them there could be some basic personality crash between the people involved, but it might have been the differences that brought them together in the first place, but those very same differences may cause them to break up.
- So lets say 2 people have their Moons in semi- sextile, but their Moon sign rulers are located in the other persons Moon sign, would you go so far to say they have compatible Moons (given aspects to Moons and rulers are neutral to positive)?
I know for myself that in my own chart I have a Sag stellium, but I feel Jupiter in Scorpio is important, and Scorpio affects all the planets in the stellium, so I would think this should be relevant in synastry too? Just want to know others view on this
Another variety of this could be that the Moons that are semi-sextile in the synastry both are located in 4th house in each persons natal charts. In a way they are "house conjuncting", and both would have a need for a secure home where they can express their feelings easily.
- What asteroids do you put in a synastry chart? I feel asteroids are important too, sometimes. I can relate to what is said about my natal Juno and Vesta and Pallas placements f ex .. So I use Chiron, Juno, Ceres, Vesta, Eros, Amor, Psyche in synastry, but do you use others?
- Do you also look at composite charts? I do, I find it to give valuable extra info about the relationship.
- What orbs do you use in synastry and composites? I know some people use a very strict orb, not more than 3 degrees even for the Sun and Moon. I find that to be too strict. I have seen aspects in synastry that have a 7-8 degrees orb, but still very much influental. Of course it's possible to argue that there could be other aspects etc that are more exact in orb that could explain the tendencies described..
