Position, Dispositor and Synastries

It's often considered that if we have Mercury in Leo, we should look at the Sun's position to understand better Mercury's action - and we call the Sun the dispositor.

However, in a synastry a Mercury in Leo can be conjunct with the Mercury in Leo of another person, even when both have Suns in opposite signs.

How would you interpret it? How far can the dispositor change the act of that very Leo degree where Mercury lies?

I give the word.

Can you give a better example? Mercury never moves than about 30 degrees from the sun. So if two people had Leo Mercuries conjunct, their suns could only be in Leo, Cancer, or Virgo. Depending upon which signs their suns were in, you would look at the sun, moon, or Mercury as the dispositor.
