Progressed Descendant ruler?

I am wondering how valid or strong the Progressed natal Descendant ruler is to transits? For example say the progressed Des ruler is Jupiter, would an outer planetary transit to this natal planet be indicative of an event in particular challenging transits? Anyone experiment with this?

I dont use progressed descendant rulers really. Unless there are aspects to both your natal descendant and the progressed one then I dont feel there is much significance at all. Transits to the natal chart descendant will be much more influential especially planets there and to the ruler.
