Hitler did disarm the population to have more control over dissidents and peoples reactions...it was his last preparation before war.....

And for 10yrs before that, he'd been preparing for war by also building concrete bunkers, highways connecting north south east & west, and miles of tank stops inside Germany (where the final battles were fought) and where the current German border now exists.

In the Uk, we haven't had guns for a long as I have known and I for one am thankful for this, especially with the building stress, joblesness and hopelessness so prevelant in society, not to mention the seperative pictures the media paints in the public's minds hoping to divide us against each other - here, these pictures the media paints are racist ideals even though it was government that opened our gates, class divides with working classes taught to hate the unemployed or disabled claimants, to mention a few. With all that going on, I'm glad we don't have guns, all it takes is for one final straw on some camel's back...

surprisingly that is correct but only since the 15th century as that is when the banks took control of the emerging nation states because the introduction of cannons made raging war too expensive for even kings to finance wars by their own revenues.
it is ironic that the"Englightment" also brought the current state of constant warfare along with the modern concept of nation state.the concept of nation state was built on constant warfare .

Thank you Rahu, yes that sounds quite true, pharma drug use and the crazy effects it is having on people. But they wouldn't mention that in the media as they seem to still hold so much power over media influence.

Having just been outside of the UK for a holiday, I can see the difference in the whole vibe. I am on holiday in a muslim country, but I actually feel safe leaving my bag on the table next to me, opened. so very true, but you forgot to mentioned Ronald Reagan who promised to cut the federal deficit but then presided over the largest increase in the federal deficit in history up to then. of course Obama ben Kenya increased the federal deficit by 9 trillion dollars which makes Reagans deficit seem insignificant

I disagree. Not a fan of Obama, but he got stuck with the results of Bush Jr.'s tax cuts for the elites, and the cost of the Iraq war. When he proposed rolling them back, a Democratically (!) controlled Congress refused. Now whoever follows a (most likely) one-term Trump will have the same thing happen.

The tax cuts were the major cause, and that was Bush Jr. same as Reagan. Then there were the "too big to fail" bailouts. You're right though, Obama came in promising to de-escalate, and amped up instead.
