Generally a benefic influence on those planets and through them, on that house; for information on Spica and other stars, see constellationsofwords.com and books by Robson "Fixed Stars and Constellations in Astrology", Morse "The Living Stars", etc (these 2 books are readily available from Amazon)

Spica is a Fixed Star
and
conjunctions to Fixed Stars
require conjunction by LATITUDE and/or DECLINATION
and not solely by Longitude
"additional tables pdf" above top left of astro.com chart
provide latitude as well as declination and longitude

Everyone has Spica in one of the twelve houses
but not necessarily near a natal planet
i.e.
When you view your chart on astro.com click on the "additional tables pdf"
which is above natal chart top left
notice that the pdf tables list the DECLINATION and LATITUDE of your natal planets
then
compare with the DECLINATION and LATITUDE of SPICA
as given on constellations of words
link was provided by dr. farr

i.e.
SPICA Declination 2000: -11.08' Latitude: -02.03'

next, check DECLINATION as well as LATITUDE of natal JUPITER, MOON and MARS
to find
IF natal JUPITER, MOON, and MARS are within one degree orb or not
of DECLINATION and/or LATITUDE of SPICA
