Astrology and suicide

Can astrology predict suicide? If so, how is it done? Can I find some tools for prediction of future suicide?

Asc + H8 - Neptune,
Asc + Jupiter - H12,
Asc + Jupiter - Neptune. Are these calculations accurate? How to calculate, please, tell me. I can post natal chart for there purpose.

Some astrologers say you can but shouldn't, some say you simply can't, and others say you can but only in certain situations. Whatever side you "come down on" it is a VERY controversial subject. If you want to know just HOW controversial it is, take a look at this thread:

A POSSIBLE susceptibility to suicide can be indicated in natal charts but requires expert specialist analysis to determine if such a POTENTIAL might exist.
We find an example in the chart of Marilyn Monroe: the Part of Suicide fell in her natal whole sign 8th house, conjunct natal Uranus (in the 8th house) and also conjunct the difficult fixed star Scheat. In the Solar Return for 1962 (a few months prior to her death by-likely-suicide) the natal Part of Suicide was in her 12th whole sign house (self-undoing) and Uranus (which had been conjunct her natal Part of Suicide in the natal 8th house) was conjunct 2 very disruptive fixed stars in the SR chart, Adhafara and Alfard, both of which have suicide and/or posion in their list of possible influences: the prominence of the Part of Suicide in MM's natal chart PLUS the 12th house placement of the Part of Suicide in the 1962 SR chart together with Uranus connected with those 2 stars in her SR chart (and the SR Moon-ruler of her 36 year of life profection chart-conjunct Algol in the SR chart as well) would have raised a flaming red flag of warning that suicide (by poison) was a definite possibility in her SR year (MM died several months after her 1962 SR, from an overdose of sleeping pills which the coroner determined to be suicide)...

Right-as I mentioned in my posting, this area (including longevity estimations, etc) is an advanced specialist field of study.

You can look at when the most likely times someone may die, but you can't say what the source of that death will be. Someone can be suicidal but get hit by a bus instead. And even then, we all have several times in our lives designated for "check out", but only your higher self will know which one to choose and why. If someone had been looking at my chart when I was in my early 20s, they would have sworn I could die at any time - and indeed I was nearly killed on about four occasions and near death from another means. But my higher self chose not to, for whatever reasons. People still have free will and astrology cannot predict ANYTHING with certainty - only the most likely times for certain events to happen. People still have free will.

I believe that people have the potential for free will, and I believe that we can anticipate likely developments, likely oncoming trends and tendencies and potential critical periods, and that these will often manifest as they have been indicated: however, I also believe that only a prophet of the Divinity can FORETELL the future with complete accuracy.
When we apply our various methods to delineate Cosmic influences, we are no more prophets than an expert meteorologist is: all we do is "predict" trends and their likely outcomes.

Emotophobia, is this just a rhetorical question, or do you think you might become suicidal, or someone whom you care about might be? If so, you or they need the support of a therapist or even a crisis hot-line, not the ideas of a bunch of mostly amateur astrologers on an Internet forum.

This is a picture of a Gia Allemand who was a former Bachelor contestant who recently commited suicide. The time is NOT correct though.

Apparently she had a lot of problems with her self even though the chart does not at a first glace indicate that (at least to me).

Without an accurate birth time you can't even begin to predict or foresee this because many of the death aspects involve the 8th or 12th houses, and the angles.

I knew from reading my Dad's chart closely from a year prior to his death what was about to happen. Sometimes it is best just to take things as they are, make the best of those we have, try for things we want, and generally, always remember that everyone wants to be happy..

I see a saturn return there happening in the 8th and lunar nodes conjuncting the MC-IC axis natally

Mercury's conjunctions and aspects decide suicide tendencies and methods followed to kill self

It suddenly came to my mind that suicide is the extreme level of self harm. So I would think of the the ascendant's self defeating self.

If we use Marilyn Monroe chart (not sure if she truly killed herself), Leo ascendant. Gemini Sun combusted his own lord Mercury in Gemini. In natal Sun as the ascendant ruler, contra parallel to SN, Necessity, Nemesis and anti vertex. Ascendant final dispositor Mercury parallel Pluto. Her tragedy over relationship with men, as well as being a powerful physical sexual symbols ended with a never ending mystery of violent death.

On day the death, Progressed Cancer Sun 19 degrees 45 conjunct Pluto 14 degrees 16, progressed north node 16 degrees 24 exactly just entered 12th house cusp, see that Part of Spirit, Necessity also conjoined progressed NN.

While SA Pluto and North node both conjoined progressed POF. SA ascendant was Virgo, SA Mercury also conjoined natal Pluto. So both progressed natal ascendant ruler Sun and SA ascendant ruler Mercury (final dispositor of the natal ascendant) both contacted Pluto in natal as well as solar arc as the nature of violent/brutal death.

Well often people think natal 8th house ruler placed in 1st is one potential of self harm and suicide, surly there should be more to look at.

I suggest that you start your own thread on this if you would like to get more information but before you do that .... . please note, sometimes threads like this open doors to topics that can be hurtful and maybe best left behind doors. Think about what purpose it would serve to understand this event and whether it would provide the closure that you are seeking and also, whether it is the right time to embark on this.

I understand.. He was quite a mean person in my life, so I really doubt there is much left to be hurt about regarding him...
