Please Help - Mid Life Crisis
Hi ~ I'm new to the astrology community. I am having a mid life crisis and have been on a trek of self discovery. I came across this forum by chance and hoped to be able to reach out for some direction in my life.
I left a very stressfull job of 17 years to care for my ailing mother and raise my 4th and last child. I have since, laid to rest (5 years ago) my dearly loved parent and am now "merely" a stay at home mom. A status that will soon be changing with a pending divorce. I am anxious to get back to work, but as I have no degree and have been out of "paid" work for 10 years I am at a loss as to were to begin. Having suffered through 17 years at a job I grew to despise, I now want to do something positive and rewarding.
I want to discover my true vocation in life and hope that my chart (and this forum) will reveal something about myself that will help me further my growth.
Thanks in advance for everyones help & guidance.
Blessings to all,
Martina
My chart ~

Thanks for the welcome. I appreciate your offer to look at my chart and would love to have somebody help me decipher it. When you're in a rut it's so easy to see and do the same things over & over. A fresh eye might be just what I need to make my path a little clearer.

Would that I could, ha ha.
Well, I worked for a LARGE corporation as a warehouse manager. To much politics, too many workers that didn't want to actually work to earn a paycheck and tooooo much overtime. Can you say BURNOUT?
I definately have a more creative side to me just waiting to be tapped and I would love to do something that would make use of my skills (according to my best friend I DO have some). Though I personally struggle to accept them as skills, perhaps in the right environment they would be.
I'm a dreamer/idealist first off. Because of my upbringing I'm extremely adaptable. Overall I'm a very positive person and can find/understand the good in most things/situations. I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. I can watch other people communicating and can understand all sides of a problem/situation and relate to each persons feelings. What for years I've seen as a downfall, I've learn to accept as an asset, is the ability to look to the future and "see" the finished product. Being an aries that isn't always a good thing, as actually "getting" to the finished product is sometimes a struggle. :30: My brain is loaded with ideas, I just don't always know how to make use of them.
What I know about myself...I love children and "old" people. I love helping people (ah, the rescuing aries) overcome some of the same obstacles I've faced in my life. I love puzzling out and fixing things (literally and figuratively). I love creating, decorating and organizing, whether it's cakes, houses, my garden or the local grocery store display) I love order! (Which is almost non-existent in my life right now )
So sorry, I've rambled on here. Rediscovering yourself is a mammoth job. Perhaps having wriiten down what I know about myself I will grow that much faster. There's so much in life to learn...
Thanks for help, Martina

Re: Please Help - Mid Life Crisis
see martina
you still have hope...and you have to start somewhere...
you yourself have mentioned so many options..i am sure you will be able to pick up on any of these with ease...
i would suggest something..you can do from your home or maybe nearer to your home...so that you can take care of your kid too...
You should read/listen to some self help authors..Dr Wayne Dyer is a good start..the no limit person..and get that instinct back...
And you are right..you should be passionate about what you're doing..otherwise it just leads to more frusteration..
I am sorry i am not a western astrologer..i need to see it the vedic/indian way..can you please post your birth details...so that i can be specific on your vocation and when would be the right time.
Untill then...all the best...
and hey this is your new second chance..
how many of us do get it?

Re: Mid Life Crisis
BTW Sandeep ~
I have checked out your MyAstro site. It looks fascinating!!! If you need a little probing, here it is. JAB JAB JAB. What an amazing amount of work you have already put into your creation! I'm assuming this will be an interactive sight for others to use. How exciting!!!
It all is rather confusing to me as I have only just recently heard about Indian astrology. I'm anxious to learn more...keep up the hard work.

Re: Mid Life Crisis
Hi Martina,
I looked at your chart and ,
have you been sick lately, any minor major surgeries, since last couple of years?
have you taken loans or are you under debt?
It shows that there is little formal education..
when did you get married?
it shows you've been on and off with relationships?
Please confirm this..
Otherwise the chart needs to be corrected.
thanks
sandeep

Re: Mid Life Crisis
Hi martina,
Sorry i am not a native english language speaker, so i may not be able to interpret exactly what you've said or meant.
Dud you mean that whatever the chart indicates and I have said, is true?
then big Coool...it works..
what kind of surgery did you have? something under the waist?
I don't know if your husband helps you financially or not...
and what kind of disputes/misunderstandings you have...
But if you can stick on...then i would say...just stick for financial reasons or if you could get good alimony deal, then only go for divorce.
I am sorry but I do not see a very good financial position for you being single.
And I would advice you take periodic REGULAR medical checkups.
And if you really really want to do something, i would advice start small, and do some courses like naturopathy or reiki, using it as business and also which would help you as well. There are many users on this forum who have done such courses, i am sure about Archergirl. Maybe you can consult her.
Wishing you all the best,
sandeep

Re: Mid Life Crisis
Sandeep ~
Your interpretation was very good. I greatly appreciate your insight. I would like to go into more depth on everything you've said and hope it won't affect this thread.
First, the financial area, will that change or is that for a long period? Are finances directly related to health, or is any of this possible to tell?
Second, stay where you are vs. alimony/divorce I mention this because of what I was recently told (astrologically) about it not being a good time for me to be involved in litigation. Underhanded tactics may be involved. I can't help but wonder whether my health issues are directly related to my unsteady marriage. Stress can wreak havoc on a person mentally and physically And yet greater financial struggles and raising a child on your own can be equally stressful :59:
Third, you mentioned health and that has been one of my concerns. Other than regular checkups is there perhaps an area I should focus on? I mention this only because you say "something under the waist".
Fourth, I thank you for the recommendation for the naturopathy or reiki as this has been a great interest of mine. I will try to make contact with Archergirl. I have recently been asked to join a new business venture (February '08) with little start up costs, but wonder now whether it would be best left alone.
Lastly, I can't thank you enough for your help. You have giving me much to think about and I'm filled with a thousand more questions
Many blessings to you
Martina

Re: Mid Life Crisis
oh coool martina...
glad to be of help,
very interesting and concerning questions indeed..
and you're right i don't know if we are in the right section.
Can you post this in the natal area? or maybe Moderator can you please move this to the natal area.

First, the financial area, will that change or is that for a long period?
|
Umm i would say, there would be a struggle on and off for finances for you throughout. How's it been till now..umm i think till 1989, it was still better...maybe after your marriage..it has been mostly downwards?
Quote:

Are finances directly related to health, or is any of this possible to tell?
|
In nadi, what i practice, (mostly based on house numbers), a stress is a stress, and i guess low finances would ultimately lead to poor health.

Second, stay where you are vs. alimony/divorce I mention this because of what I was recently told (astrologically) about it not being a good time for me to be involved in litigation.
|
Whoever said that definitely is right, you can not win a litigation, even if you wanted to . Sorry, again the regional differenced crept in, in India, you would get an alimony, even if you divorced your husband, so i was thinking there wouldn't be much litigation involved in it.

|
Other than regular checkups is there perhaps an area I should focus on? I mention this only because you say "something under the waist".
|
Like i said, nadi is based on house numbers, your chart is full of 6 and 8, 6th and 8th house involve the kidneys, thighs, knees. so those areas would be mostly affected. Also how's your blood pressure? is it on the higher side?
(just curious your chart shows aggression as well, have you had any formal training in martial arts or something related to the army..?? said this..if you could have a career in those lines, security, supervision, then that would be better...if you could join the Mob, it would be the best ..hehe)

I have recently been asked to join a new business venture (February '08) with little start up costs, but wonder now whether it would be best left alone.
|
what kind of business venture?
very interesting chart, thanks for giving me the opportunity to interpret and your helpful feedbacks...
hey you want to learn nadi and practice it there ..once my site is up, i will send you a link..

Re: Mid Life Crisis
SSkohli; yes I see the chart is the astrologyweekly page but my eyesight cannot read the print to set up the chart in my own program...I need the data to do that, which may be ON that chart, but I can't read it...sorry...To look at her transits will be much easier if I am not going to and fro between programs...This chart is fine as a natal but I think a few of us would prefer to run the chart up ourselves...the "data" may be on it but I need the place of birth to construct the chart...does that explain things? Hope so, Lillyjgc

I shall be moving on to new threads to discuss separate issues. I shall check back for vocational insight.
This sight has helped sooooo much.
Perhaps I will see you back on this thread...or perhaps another?

No worries...I just thought I was asking too many questions not related to the initial Vocational thread. I have truly appreciated all your input and what love to hear more from you about my chart.
