Transit Mars on the ascendant

Wow what a transit. This transit was exact for me on the 17th, just 3 days ago. It is a powerful transit to say the least, even in libra. Mars is all about assertion amongst other things but putting my foot down was something I found myself doing all day that day. I even got into an argument with a co worker I consider a friend all over an accident and it angered me.

I was challenged but also I challenged. Not just others but myself. I put myself to the limit at work and I put out 20 pipes, 6 more than the quota. It's an exhilarating transit and you'll put yourself to the test.


I see the personality more dominat with this aspect or transit. Not always picking fights, but more willing to be open and honest. It was a quick transit and it's 2 degrees away from my ascendant, I really won't say I feel it right now, just because mars is moving quick and I feel that personal planets aspect natal personal planets/points should be exact.


It did trigger something though, I just can't readily out my finger on it. But I do know that there is so much more to astrology and a planet can truly be strengthen by aspect and transits and our real world actions can have long term results


I'm just shocked by the impact of that transiting aspect because for it to be in Libra, that exactness made every conformation that day direct and honest

I think you have explained the panning out of Mars over the 1st house very well.

Mars in Libra, though in detriment, is still strong when transiting the first house (its own domicile, through Aries). Also, remember that the 1st house is angular, so the transit is felt more 'actively'. Most certainly Mars in Libra is more balanced, but it may strain relations(hips) .

No matter what sign maybe there on the Asc/1st house, when Mars crosses it, the personality undoubtedly becomes more 'externally' focused and excited in some manner. Those who do not let this energy out, may experience migraines/acne or some sort of allergy. Some even falls due to carelessness. This transit does tend to make the personality more courageous, or perhaps fearless is the right word. Things that you might have otherwise rather not said or done usually come out now, as Mars is a very outward-focused energy. If one feels over excited, or nervous, or agitated with this transit, it is best to keep that Mars involved in some physical activity/sports.

By far this has been one of the most potent transits I've had. Right now I'm slowly dissecting my chart with transits and I've pinpointed mars-asc, and the Saturn asc. My sun is at 21 degrees libra so IMO I don't think mars transit is making an aspect, at least not an apparent or as potent aspect.

I'm starting to become more and more interested in transits and their impact but this is the most potent transit I've consciously been through

thanks 4 sharing your experience , i think thats the best thing people can do on this site. mars transiting my first house did nothing special 4 me even the conjunction to natal mars in the 1st did nothing special, BUT when transiting mars was conjunct natal pluto(pluto is conjunct my moon) there was an explosion of feelings and yes in libra, everything came out, there was no fear of anything or anyone and i used that energy to destroy an enemy. very powerfull transite! now mars is om my DC -this i also feel very powerfull transite opp my AC! but not as strong as pluto-mars.

Interesting that the same day you mention here is the day that the Mars/Saturn conjunction was exact. When tMars hit my natal Venus I hated the world for about a week, but when it crossed all my Libra planets and my ASC enh. Nothing remarkable. That malefic conjunction in my 1st? Devestating.

Money_Power, I speak from experience. Apologies though that I did not specify the exact personal activity related. Well, Mars over the Asc (I have nothing in my 1st house, but Ven in the 7th*), during the transit, there were some issues with my friend* that I clarified, which perhaps, I would have otherwise just continued with. Mars transited my Asc and 1st house during its transit of Leo and Virgo.

Tsmall, what conjunction, in terms of planets involved, are we talking about?

I made a mistake about the date. I was referring to the the (transiting) Mars/Saturn conjunction in Libra, which was exact on the 15th, not the 17th.
