Always check your progressions!

I recently went through a bout of physical calamities, one right on top of the other:

• a novice chiropractor gave me the first case of sciatica (which was EXCRUCIATING) I've ever had
• a heating pad on my leg (aching from the sciatica) malfunctioned while I was sleeping and burned me
• jumping out of the bed (bad, bad move with sciatica), I fell and wounded my burned leg on my yet uncompleted platform bed
• the wounds didn't heal for a long time and I finally discovered they had large splinters deep inside them

I was about to doubt the veracity of astrology, because my transits looked great! I should have been having no problems at all!

Then I decided to inspect my progressions. My Progressed Mars was squaring my late Capricorn Ascendant and my early Aquarius Mercury. The sciatic nerve is the biggest nerve in the body (the nervous system is ruled by Mercury), I was hurting in my knee from the fall (Capricorn, which would also rule chiropractors) and in my calf along the sciatic nerve (where I was burned and wounded) (Aquarius).

Had I known that my Progressed Mars was squaring my Capricorn Ascendant, I wouldn't have gone near a chiropractor!

My asc is in virgo, mercury is in capricorn
Iv'e had muscle and nerve problems for forever! Off and on
I also went to a chiropractor for my back and came out with a problem knee, I then had to go to a physio to help with the knee!

I just hurt my back again and have brought back the sciatica!
Should of seen that my progressed mars was opposing my natal 1st house Uranus and progressed uranus causing reckless accidents.....er ..trying to lift something I knew would be too heavy

I thought it was just me, but I'm discovering that negative Mars progressions can be MEAN! I also got an infected tick bite and plantar fasciitis during this time!!! I mean, it's quite unbelievable what this progression has done.

Your Uranus in the 1st affects your physical body. Do be careful! Mars counter Uranus can make for some unexpected and even wild injury. If anything you plan to do involves any physical risk, don't do it!

I really feel your pain! I never dreamed how excruciating sciatica pain could be before it suddenly hit me! I'd NEVER hurt that severely in my life! I couldn't even stand up without painkillers. I am better, after strong anti-inflammatory meds - which inflamed my stomach! All Mars! Also, gentle yoga helped.

Virgo (ruled by Mercury) is certainly prone to nerve-related problems, and Mercury in Capricorn could be prone to both nerve and bone problems. Like me, maybe you should stay away from chiropractors until your prog. Mars is well out of the way!

May I ask whether your natal Mars have any aspect to your Ascendant already?

I never checked any aspects by progressed planets, nor pay much attention to the faster Mars/Venus/Mercury/Moon transits, but lately I realized that if these planets go into retrograde and actually extend their effects through certain house, it can actually be significant as much as outer planet transits.

I've got progressed Mars conjunct natal Uranus, and then square my natal (Cap) Ascendant. I guess I should be careful as well.

First, no, my natal Mars has no aspect to my Ascendant.

Second, your progressed Mars looks a lot like ours. Personally, I would be very careful around anything (or anyone) that could possibly injure, cut, or burn. I wouldn't do anything physically unusual for now! Yes, do be careful!

I have pisces mars and have had probs with feet
In this instance the chiropractor was right, I had a fallen arch, so wasn't helping back, with how I walked etc
But NO, I'm not going back to those guys!!

A lovely person has suggested rolfing, have you heard of this?
I'm trying to find someone local and am looking into this,....might help

One thing I have noticed is that very often, often enough to notice anyway, my partner gets ill just after I do, about a week or so later, this occurred to me this time, I hurt my back about 2wks ago and then he's hurt his about a week later!!
It may just be coincidence but I'm wondering about the moon as a trigger, I have mine at 28 Taurus and he has it at 3 Gemini??.?
Maybe hes just coming out in sympathy! LOL:

Ha, I just thought, its my fellas birthday in a week and I was planning a Balloon Ride for both of us (always wanted to do that).......er..maybe not a good idea! LOL,LOL.

Thanks, Icee, for your much appreciated well wishes!Yes, my life has been a sort of war zone lately - but Mars is the god of war, isn't he! And inflammation, and infection, and pain, and...

Yes, I think my feet are a very sensitive part of my body, having my stellium in Pisces (incl. Mars). I've had painful fallen arches, sprained ankles, and plantar pain many times. I'm the sort who has to shop for the right new shoes for days, because most are uncomfortable to me, and when I do find them, I wear them till they fall apart!

I have had rolfing done to me, when I was much younger. Don't know if I could take it now. True rolfing involves almost a "digging" with the fingers into the muscle tissue to loosen spasms, knots of tension, and the like. It can be quite painful. You need to drink gallons of water afterward as it does release loads of toxins or wastes from your muscles. It's one of those extreme treatments (like chemo) that can ultimately make you feel much better, but it can be hell to go through.

I wouldn't discount your "Moon trigger" idea too quickly, considering the placement of your two Moons. That merits some watching of transits. The Sun moves a little less than a degree per day, so it would travel the 5 degree orb between your Moon and your partner's in about a week.

A balloon ride sounds like great fun! But if it's the usual hot air balloon, with the big propane burner to make the hot air, I'd say wait till next year! That sounds like bad Mars waiting to happen!

Omg, it takes forever now and actually I can't help but think that most shoes are not made for those insoles and probably do more harm than good, sometimes as the heels always slip off in delicate, dress shoes ....so Iv'e given up there and only wear mine in trainers......but you can't wear trainers all the time!LOL

Oh, that's quite a difficult combination of energies! That would just about wipe out your Mars energy, I would think. My Mars is in mid-Pisces conjunct Venus, Jupiter, and NN in the 2nd (hence my incompetence with money but need for beautiful, fantastical things around me - my talent for fantasy used to be quite good too - it got me through my awful childhood and led me into acting in high school and college). My Mars is also the apex of a Yod, with Neptune and Pluto sextile at the other ends. Since my Mars is conjunct my NN, I'm now trying to figure out how to fulfil it, as it seems to be positioned as my "mission" in this life. But in the case of Yods, the inconjuncts make seeing connections very hard.

Hahahaha!!!! Yes, those certainly sound like probable "events" with Uranus at odds with Mars!

Don't feel bad, because I found some supple dress loafers that fit perfectly, and I continued to wear them even when they were old and badly scuffed - imagine gardening in old dress shoes! But they kept my sensitive Pisces feet comfy, and my Taurus Moon quite approved!

I find my energy is quite good, although health problems I am always optimistic and know from past experience, although I had to learn this, thru having these obstacles its kind of made me stronger and has taught me a lot about what the body needs in terms of relaxation, good food and a resilience not to give up.
I used to get angry when my body wouldn't do what I wanted it to do, but also learned that pushing it is futile and pointless when rest and patience is whats needed sometimes.

My neptune aspects are a double edged sword, but I have a strong pluto in my chart which I think helps me out
They work the best for me when channelled in artistic ways, although I can daydream for hours!lol
But I have fantastic dreams which I also use as a tool for my creative work,...I just need to kick my **** sometimes to produce the outcome!

Do you still participate in acting??
WOW, with venus/mars being expanded with jupiter all in pisces I see that as a huge creative gift in the second, that you could possibly make money from??
Mars activating the NN
I too am investigating my NN mission, I'm reading "yesterdays sky"by Steven Forrest
I have pisces NN in the 6th Sextiles mercury, so virgo SN, so far I'm deciphering from this that I could of been a monk or hermit or something along those lines.
I find it interesting how the axis of the nodes show a kind of flow, I can't quite explain what I mean other than my mercury rules the SN and my modern Ruler of NN is Neptune in the 3rd (mercurys house) and Jupiter, trad ruler is in my 2nd, jupiter ruler of my sun and venus, sun in 4th with venus tight to the IC from the third. Sun in 4th with my mercury then thus brings it back to the SN ruler(mercury). There's a kind of mirroring going on, a pattern, I can see it, but working out what this all means is another story
Also NN is in Virgos house and SN is in Pisces house.

I also have a yod, apex moon booooomeranging down to neptune, sextiles between the sun and Jupiter bringing me to that 2nd house and 4th again??
