The bullish second house

The house of money.
Taurus
Earthy venus
Self worth
Values
What do you value?
How does this express in your own chart and what transits there have taught you valuable lessons in life about this earthly realm?

Re: The bullish second house

Sagittarius on the 2nd, Jupiter in Leo, in the 10th.

Little interest in 'material' values. Always been interested in 'higher' things. Am well known in my circles for being a 'spiritual' person (10th)

Recently, Rahu/Jupiter Dasha activated interest in astrology.

Good teeth, nice voice

Re: The bullish second house

Hm well Cancer is the sign of the second. I have Jupiter-RX there so I guess I value emotions, and comfort as well as a more intuitive approach to life. But then that is directly opposed to Saturn in Capricorn in the 8th causing a constant conflict between being REALISTIC and LOGICAL...they both push and pull me so I go to one extreme to another-one being the spiritual, intuitive, compassionate and the other being the exacting, logical, 'this is reality and it *****!'

Opposing a stubborn taurus saturn
Thanks for your input
Do you find transits to your jupiter exasperating because of this?

Hi
Thankyou for sharing fullmoonlibra
I imagine you have great taste and prefer quality to quantity
I have libra in the 2nd and don't go overboard due to my opp in saturn, but I do like to pamper myself and indulge sometimes
And maybe that virgo has an eye for detail?

Re: The bullish second house

My 2nd is Leo. Empty. Sun in the 9th, Pisces.

I'm no good with business, I just want to give everything away! =|

Hm... I'm a cat person (Leo, Lion, cats... yeah) I like their independent personality. So, I value independence? But how can I be independent if I don't relate to making money? Oh life... so complicated. lol

I am not sure if transits to jupiter exasperate it as I never really look at transits that much. What about you?

Re: The bullish second house

Second house scorpio with Pluto in the second. Im not that materialistic but I do value power in all forms

I'm decent wit money but I spend it as soon as I get it because I know how to make it. I'm obsessed with money and as a child, I enjoyed the scent and feel of fresh money.

Most of my possessions are dark themed. They all got an underworld sense to them. Do I value sex? No, but I enjoy it.

I'm rather destructive with my materials putting little value on them because I kno I can always get somethin new ad long as I have a job. If my possessions get worn out, no biggie. I toss it n buy something else. This is not good.

However, I'm extremely sentimental. I'm possessive over those I love and I'm extremely giving and affectionate. Materials mean little to me compared to ppl and those that do matter to me, I share with.

I also have Venus and mercury there. I don't value money, but I value the power of continuous spending followed by more income and more spending. **** it!!!!! The power of money. Unfortunately, I'm on an average income, i still enjoy the cheap things money can buy. I can make a 40 ounce taste like champagne

Maybe true independence comes from your leo heart,....knowing it doesn't need money........just wants to shine, show courage and strength?

Hi Reinoid
.....well saturn is rolling around in my second house now, so I'm wondering about the lessons I'm going to learn this time around, last time too young to note or know
And saturn will be conjuncting my jup opp sat.
I found the square from leo last time quite fulfilling......eventually and was very inspired creatively, also sorted out some health problems!

When I had my saturn return which then also opposed my jupiter in 2nd that was rewarding as well on a purely material level, I had just moved and was doing up an ole house, but....a lot of work and I had several health problems and was working in a job that was hard and not rewarding, but just for money!

When saturn was in Aquarius squaring, had just moved, really enjoyed being creative outdoors, learning new skills, but tuff on the emotional front, but enjoying freedom in a bigger house and lovely neibour hood.....which now am finding stifling...ha..haha

I'm not sure about when jupiter transits there, It probably just makes me go overboard....eat too much cake ......and then feel guilty about it (saturn)

My saturn is Rx.

Thankyou for your views!
Were you thinking of your second house pluto when you came up with your user name?

You liked to smell the money when young......I liked that..intense!

You don't value sex, but you enjoy it? Please explain if you wish, I'm curious about that statement!

You spend as soon as you get your money but have no value on material things.
This sounds like your venus there....quite carefree and likes to share, I can relate I have a libra 2nd.

How do you think your mercury comes thru? You value strong communication?? Maybe?? Are curious about second house stuff? .......You did smell the money LOL

Re: The bullish second house

I have an Earth sign as the second house cusp. I'm very careful with my money and wouldn't ever want to live like many others in this thread, where their money is barely their money as it leaves their hands so quickly.

I don't like women who are extravagant given their relative income and wouldn't ever get with one. It's silly to me how greedy people can be in all other areas of life yet behave like total airheads regarding money when romance is involved.

What tha hell is that supposed to mean? My money is always my money n Im never without cash. I'm probably better with money than u.

I don't mind spending money because I always have an income circulating, I'm not scared to let a little go towards things I desire. Some ppl like hoarding. Good for you. But if I see something u want, I'm gonna get it if I can.

It means what it says.

I been in that position before, where I would choose to spend almost all of what I made. Fortunately for me, it didn't last long enough to become a habit into adulthood. After objectively looking at how things were from outside the box, I realized mass spending is working for free. That money I made from my time working wasn't mines, it would end up belonging to the the businesses I was a consumer at.

I don't care as much about material goods, possessions, etc as much as I do money and assets.

I ain't nearly as bad as I used to be with money but that part I understand but me, I'm good with my money and no material things aren't that important to me but I spend and save its different strokes for different folks I guess but me, I handle my money pretty good.

I don't feel like a slave to any cooperation, but I know my income never stops I work hard do I'm gonna play hard and still have money saved and bills paid to get me thru the mex pay period. Even at 24, I know that my account, rent as utilities come first but after all that I still have money to play with

Hi Southpaw, thankyou for your views from an earthy perspective.
It would be great if you could maybe expand on your second house for us.
What sign do you have there and what house is the ruler in?

Re: The bullish second house

Good thread theme, I never think about my 2nd. No planets there for me but I have cap on the cusp. I think my 2/8 are intercepted but I always get confused about it so if someone wants to explain I'd be pleased. But yeah, cap on the 2nd's cusp and saturn in scorpio in the 12th. I don't really value much at all and can easily live a very subsistence/ascetic sort of lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love beauty/flair/awesomeness but I don't feel the need to possess belongings reflecting that. I don't like anything to hold me down and too many possessions/responsibilities make me feel weighted... ugh

Hi sequestra
First of all...get outa my head! Lol
I have just been looking into intercepted signs as well and realised I have totally got it wrong!
I thought it was just when another sign was sharing the same house, but its when a sign is enclosed by the other two sign cusps.....does that make sense?
For example I have 4th house sagg and 5th house aqu..just! So capricorn is intercepted, I think thats right??
Me thinks need to start a new thread!

Thankyou for your 2nd house feed, I was wondering that although you have a earthy 2nd its ruler in the 12th gives it a watery, selfless, softer outlook?(12th)
Scorpio can 'make do' I think, needing very little, knowing only the souls nourishment counts.....maybe?
Does this position make for indepth analysis of the hidden self?

Re: The bullish second house

yay. i love the 2nd house! it's the house of the material world, values of one's material possessions, and self-esteem/worth.

i have scorpio 2nd house with late uranus being wacky in it. i would say that i'm "strangely" lucky when it comes to material possessions and money.

when i was young, i grew up mostly with money. i'm not talking about tons of it, or maybe "tons" is a subjective word. there was a time when my parents weren't so well off because it was after my older brother died and the hospital bills were extremely high. my parents had to liquidate all their possessions and we "slummed" it for a couple of years. that did not last long in the scheme of things. both my parents bounced back to making money and i got quickly shipped off to another boarding school (my mom has libra jupiter 2nd and my dad gemini jupiter 2nd LOL) just as much as i know what it's like to have all i could want, i know what it's like to live with the bare bones. either way, i'm fine with both.

money comes to me at odd times and often least expected. i could be totally down and out, completely broke, and friends will come around and give me $50 and i think i'd have to make that $50 last for a week, well, turns out i got paid the next day (early or out of the blue). or friends would come around and buy me groceries. i never ask for help, i just get it. 10 jobs can come flying at me demanding that i work for the person and they'll pay me really well when i least thought i'd get a job. i can ask my scorpio dad to help send me money and think that he'd flat out say no, but instead he sends me more than i had hoped. i always win prizes when i enter in raffles of hundreds of people and if the raffle allows the same person to win prizes, i'll win the top prizes. to be honest, i don't believe in the lotto and i don't play, but i'm guessing that if i do take it up, i might just win.

my attitude towards money is that it's important to have, but more importantly, how to use it to achieve the ultimate goal- freedom. i see money as a means an end because the #1 thing I want is to keep my freedom and live how i want to live. life ***** without bucks. i'm not materialistic but i do like nice things. i have a laissez-faire attitude towards money and i firmly believe that people should be able to use their money how they see fit (as long as it's not to cause harm and injury to others but that could just be a very fine line) and i don't care how people use it. i don't mind treating people when i go out, but i will make a note of how much was spent (gotta be the scorpio thing) so if someone was to use money against me, i'll be prepared to defend myself.
