Rectification any one ?
Hi am new to the board my name is Emile am pursuing rectification as my primary astrological service to provide to the public and other astrologers... by the end of 2012 is when am planning to promote myself full throttle.....any rectifiers on the board?

I don’t do it professionally, but have done a few.

Are you on 90 degree dial? Am getting ready to tackling no birth time with no approximation rectifing..I can see why no one wants to be bothered with it.

The advice I was given, is to ask the person if they know if it was the morning, afternoon or evening at least. Or if their parents at least mentioned anything specific, like was a specific event happening at the time of their birth, so you can start to deduce from that whether it was the morning, afternoon or evening etc.
Sorry I don't know what you mean about a 90 degree dial? We must use different methods.
Do you have any of these details, or can you get hold of them?

Re: Rectification any one ?
Am definitely following that format and more with those questions plus more.. not a lot of people are on dials I see... predominantly astrologers of the Cosmobiology/uranian back ground uses dials like my self.. the 90 allows you to veiw 4th harmonic connection at the top of the dial and 8th harmonic connections at the bottom and 16 harmonic connections at the quadrature in total the dial covers all hard aspects plus inclusion of 22.30 45 and 135 degree aspect that has been proven and I can testify to the validity of them being relevant to event manifestation.... I have been rectifying known birth times up on till now...
concentrating now on no birth time and some proximate time charts of famous individuals, friends and Co workers.

Oh, ok yes I know what the dial is for using in harmonics. Personally I have set up my own mathematical system for rectification. For me I find sesqui-squares and Inconjuncts the most important - seriously. Sesqui-squares seem to be one of the hardest aspects I find.
But as I said, I have done rectification, but it's not my speciality and I'm not planning to make a career of it, so I'm sure you do know far more than I do.

am always up for learning something new...I figure tackling rectification as a specialty will be worth while as a professional pursuit.... yes the inconjuct and 135 especially I have seen speak to event manifestation with angles and sun through Saturn with solar arc's

Re: Rectification any one ?
Out of interest, what type of event do you usually find that manifests with the 135 degree?
I have been very interested in that apect with Lilith.

All depending on planetary configuration the 135 is aspecting....for example I advised a friend of mines friend who was dead set that she will be laid off at a particular time of this year... I advised her that her supervisor/manager will be the one who will be laid off and not you....I was confident in what I was telling her due to Solar arc Saturn 135 to her natal MC that is configured with natal Venus as a sextile...so my conclusion was a separation in career relationship is emphised at this time there was no supporting arc's that emphasized her being sperated from the jod.... as it turned out her manager was assigned to a new division to supervise..
What's your findings with Lilith?

I find with the 135 degree, because the energies are not contained, say with a square or a trine, they just can run rampant. Anyway in a chart the energies people face are very real and concrete. It’s like it’s so difficult to try and manoeuvre your way around them, and if one looks at the actual aspect it is so clear to see the person has that problem.
With Lilith, I find with that aspect, the person seems to know they have the problem (like a said it is very real), and they work on it, yet for some reason, others who have not yet realized they have the problem, i.e. those living in their shadow, only see the shadow in those people, and try and sabotage them in those areas. It’s a very difficult aspect.

Re: Rectification any one ?
I saw solar arcs are relevant in rectification. Noel Tyl's method : if there are planets in the 3rd, 6th, 9th or 11th house. These planets are forming solar arcs to the angles: IC, MC, Asc and Desc. We have to find the exact aspects, the we can take a look at the transits, progressions during that period too.
If there are no planets in these houses, the transits of the outer planets at the angles are the only to use for the rectification with this method.
I found Uranus being very good in rectification. A solar arc Uranus to the angles is very close to the exact birth time. For instance, with this arc there is a difference of 24 seconds rectified for my my birth time. ( otherwise the event it is aboiut 10 days before).

Re: Rectification any one ?
Rectification is what I do more than anything else in my astrological work. I don't use the 90* dial. Never studied with it. Don't need it.
Emile123, the one thing I'd say to you is that you MUST learn to use declinations in order to rectify accurately and consistently. This is a test of whether you are really up to the task because the current state of astrological charting methods don't include both together. One of the easiest errors to make is in arriving at the wrong longitude degree when dealing with signs Gemini/Cancer in north declination or Sag/Cap in south. Yet, you would not know that without knowledge of the declinations and could easily get the Asc degree off by 10* and wonder why predictive interpretation does not match the person's experience. Rectification can feel almost entirely different from normal natal or trends interpretation because you are essentially working backwards all the time, not forwards. However,IF you are very studious, you will learn more and pick up on things that are not taught in astrology books or courses.
lilly02 is right, Uranus can be very helpful in rectification - at times. Its transits angular to the Asc/MC show periods of patterns/events that are unusual/out of the ordinary in the person's relational life (square/opp/contra-parallel Asc), health and identity (conj/parallel/square Asc), moves/travels/home (IC) and work/public (MC). However, I have found it to not be helpful at all in some rectifications. I've done a lot of them and there are some people who just don't get 'crazy' or unusual patterns during these transits, as they separate themselves or contain the dynamic better than others. That or they just don't want to describe them to me, the rectifier, or forget.
Rectification is the hardest work in astrology, yet it is the real test of your mastery of the essential core ingredients of astrology - natal and transit/predictive. Knowledge of the signs has to be relatively consistent across the zodiac. The ability to critique your work and recognize mistakes is a key. You will make them. I've made nearly every mistake in the book. That's what has made me expert in this, but it has taken many years.
As for a professional pursuit, if you enjoy it and are good at it, then go for it, but it is definitely not a 'profession' in the sense of earning a living.

Re: Rectification any one ?
Hello Kannon,
I used Uranus solar arc, not transits. The exact solar arcs in conjonction/opposition only.
When Uranus made an exact aspect arc to IC, it was very close to the exact date of event ( 10 days of difference). When I rectified the birth time, only 36 seconds, the solar arc Uranus was exact the day of the event. This is my chart.
When solar arc Uranus was exact by arc to Desc in another chart, the event was in 2003, and in reality happened in 2004. This arc by conjonction was an important event and the person was not born at 11:00 PM and there was a minute of difference between this person and her twin brother, which had his birth time registered at 11:02 PM.
If there are no planets in the 3rd, 6th, 9th or 12th house, I do not try to rectify.
I saw events in my life where there weren't transits, nor solar arcs, but an eclipse to angles. This is complicated to find because there is no solar arc there.
I do not have experience in rectifying, but I was amazed by the solar arcs. When I see planets there I always like to look the exact conjunction to the angle.

LIlly
you said "I saw events in my life where there weren't transits, nor solar arcs, but an eclipse to angles. This is complicated to find because there is no solar arc there. "
that is impossible not to have transits involved. I have never seen a chart with a major event and no transits invovled. you must be overlooking something
Cheers
