Mercury retrogarde, oh my gosh

Two weeks from now. Hope we survive and I don't go insane. I'm sure everything will somehow sail well!

Mercury goes retrograde usually three times a year. It's because of his close proximity to the sun. Don't buy a car (ask me how I know) and back up your computer. Expect delays, and possibly communications about things from the past. Other than that? Enh. Same old same old.

Re: Mercury retrogarde, oh my gosh

I don't even notice a Mercury retrograde unless it impacts on a personal planet or point, or if it's screwing with someone I know in some tremendously impactful way.

Me neither. Except that I do notice that the computers at work tend to get more wonky, and sometimes communications are misunderstood. Other wise? Just the same.

Re: Mercury retrogarde, oh my gosh

I bought some electrical equipment during one retrograde, of course, I sent it back later... This retrograde is opposite my natal Mercury, in my 8th house. And, I have no choice but to do my tax return form during this period. It maybe be good though, as I am owed a tax rebate from my past years work...

Re: Mercury retrogarde, oh my gosh

From my own personal observations during Mercury Retrograde, personal possessions that were lost frequently unexpectedly "re-appear" or are "revealed". People from one's past can also "re-appear"

... experiences at this time IMO are dependent upon aka linked to/with the planetary house and sign of one's natal mercury, its aspects as well as the planetary house and sign of transiting mercury and its aspects.

Also, Mercury Retrograde is a great time for revision work of any kind

hmm, well to tie in with NR's electronic equipment story, last August Mercury was retrograde in my 11th (hopes and wishes maybe?) squaring my natal Saturn in 8th. I knew better, even though I had only been studying astrology for about six weeks but I needed a car, and had my heart (opposing 5th?) set on one I found. There were weeks of delays in closing the deal, but finally...yay! bought the car. I figured, well, it's old so that might count...no such luck. Oddly enough, it was the next Mercury rx (December 2011) in my third (gee, isn't that "the car" in horary?) that I discovered what should have been made obvious at the time of the sale...that the undercarriage was completely rusted out. I ended up selling the car for scrap metal in May.

So, don't buy a car, lol.

Re: Mercury retrogarde, oh my gosh

I know it's a bit later, but July 23 has been stuck in my mind for months now.

My birthday is coming up on July 11, maybe something nice will return?

I lost my keys on my property (2 1/2 acres) last year. I wish they would show up!

IMO while Mercury is Retrograde use a metal detector - combined with considerable patience given the 2 1/2 acres - may well bring interesting results

Is a Mercury retrograde that bad?
What if a person is born under a mercury retrograde (not me!), then he will always suffer from delay.

It's an interesting question, but (as someone born with Mercury rx) I wouldn't think it means always suffering from a delay. There are quite a few threads here debating the implications of an rx planet in natal charts (as opposed to transits) so we could just go look at those. Personally, I think natally it's what's partly responsible for my OCD...

Re: Mercury retrogarde, oh my gosh

There were multiple computers breaking down in two offices one time.

The other time was worse, the computer that processed my school application broke and they couldnt correct it so we had to do it by hand a month later.
