Natal Astrology in the Southern Hemisphere?

I have had a question about this for a while but its about natal astrology in the southern hemisphere vs in the northern hemisphere and dealing with the Solstices as well Equinoxes. I know that Leo is ruled by the Sun and is considered a fire sun, being in the middle of Summer in the northern hemisphere. But this highly contradicts with the southern hemisphere's nature which is in the middle of winter, when the Sun is barely visible. I'm not sure how close the seasons are related to the signs, but I was wondering if the planet Sun changes to being Aquarius' ruling planet as a result, or does it remain the sole ruler of Leo? Although I could see this happening, the Sun doesn't quite fit the cold nature of Water Bearer, and the Lion better fits the idea of sun like qualities. The Lion's face even looks like the sun, not to mentions Lions are one of the very few predators that hunt in the daytime. But when being reflected on human qualities, would this change the way they would act? Would Leos in this hemisphere act like Leos or Aquariuses? I just want a better understanding of it. Thank you
