Square is a no? Horary chart for job...
Hi all!
I am trying to figure out this horary chart I've done.
Basically there's a good chance I will get this job I interviewed for (they are hiring a whole store full!) however I've had a run of bad luck this year so I'm anxious..I am waiting for an email back for this job to let me know whether I've been accepted.
I ran a horary chart asking "will I get the job"
Everything LOOKS ok.. but I am still new to this.
The two rulers don't talk.. but the moon is squaring Venus (10th ruler) applying 1 degree. Is that a Yes with complications? Or a No?
And Venus is retrograde in Gemini.. is that bad? I cant see Venus being comfortable in Gemini..
Any advice is appreciated.. especially with Venus in Gemini.. I'd love to know that that means.
THANKS!

Re: Square is a no? Horary chart for job...
This is a career type job or a job job? I might have used the 6th because you wrote "Coles Job" but I am not sure. I generally use 10th for things that accord with your life path, and 6th for things that are just to pay the bills. Though I guess you decided 10 beforehand so that decision is more important.
Squares don't necessarily mean no (though they do to some astrologers) but in general, they mean that it can happen but with many obstacles or challenges and in a way that you might leave you unhappy in the end anyway.
Placidus is not typical for horary charts. Regiomontanus is the most common style. I'll message you more info about this.

Hey.. I'm not sure which house to use. I've always worked in retail and I like to take on manager roles. So as its all I know and have done, I put it in the tenth

Re: Square is a no? Horary chart for job...
(Following is not in accordance with standard horary practice and uses whole sign house format)
Venus (quesited, ie the job;s significator) in Gemini is, in whole sign (which is the chart format I use for all types of charts) in the 11th whole sign house of gains; however, it flows toward conjunction in Gemini with the disruptive and chaotic South Node-for me this is a problem; further, querent's significator the Sun (lord of the ascending sign) is poisted in the charts 12th whole sign house (disappointment, etc) and flows away from quesited Venus (which later is flowing retrograde)-this to me is another problematic indication in the chart. And then there is querent's co-significator Moon, flowing away from both significators (from Sun and from Venus) and applying to a square with the quesited Venus.
These are problems I see (using my alternative horary approach) in this chart, which tend to suggest a "no" answer to this question, at least as far as I have looked at the chart at this time; use of the Lot of Employers as the primary quesited significator might yield a more favorable indication.

ther is a differnce .. look at the cusps, where they start and end. It doesnt change Asc/MH but the others.
I dont get YES here sadly enough
nothing hooks Sun/Venus
sqare Moon/Venus is very very bad one .. cause in order for square to work you need to have mutual reception or extermely strong mixed reception out out of good houses. Here you really really dont have it. Moon is in virgo .. fall of Venus... Venus is its own 10th house instead of your 1st.
let us know

Very quickly, I don't really get a yes answer either, but I can't help but notice that you have both benefics mutually applying in your 10th house. Maybe that's a good sign that there actually is something good coming your way even if this doesn't work out

COOL
congrads
yeah def wierd.
there is Translation of light but it is SOOOOOO SOOOOO weak to get a yes out of it... Moon left sextile with Sun (did you have a female interviewer?) then that shoots off to Venus but that weak venus is still wierd.
have fun at work!
I have had the charts that were pointing to NO yet yet it was a yes and vice versa

Re: Square is a no? Horary chart for job...
Very good-best wishes to you on the new job!
That darn Magic 8 Ball divination method gave a yes answer to this question (unlike the trend I saw using Primary Ankara, in my post above), ie, taking the 10th house as job significator, Taurus is on that house (in whole sign) which = Venus which = a yes answer according to 8 Ball "rules" (score another correct one for the Magic 8 Ball divination )

Thanks! And I was interviewed by seven people, but the one I had to impress was a female yes.
What's the magic 8 ball technique? I have never heard of that!!

Re: Square is a no? Horary chart for job...
Thanks for letting us all know how things turned out.
I wonder what went wrong with everything. There were a lot of applications with the moon.
Moon squaring Venus still makes me wonder though, how things will turn out in the long run.

The Magic 8 Ball is a name I gave to an ancient divination method (it is NOT horary! as we understand horary) that I decided to test here on AW, to see whether or not it would give correct yes or no answers above the level of chance. There is a thread in the Horary Techniques forum which outlines this divination method (entitled Magic 8 Ball technique) When I began testing this method, I figured that it was so mechancal and simplistic that it couldn't POSSIBLY give results in better than mere chance, so when I named it "Magic 8 Ball", this was originally intended by me as a term of derision! Well, with over 90 known-outcome test results here on AW, so far the 8 Ball is holding at 81% accuracy, which I continue to be amazed at!! Of course my testing is far from over, I'll need 150 to 200 such tests before I come to a conclusion about the method, but so far, relative to yes or no questions, it's accuracy level at over 80% correct, is impressive, given that it is so simple to use! Will it continue at or near this % rate? Only more time will tell.
...anyway, thats what the "Magic 8 Ball" technique is...
