Was he telling me the truth about the 'visit'?

Hi

I've been getting to know a man this year, it is progressing slowly but I do suspect something. Me though, I tend to watch for a while, see what my intuition tells me and I think something is up. I do value our friendship though as it is.

He told me that his brother was coming to visit him for a few weeks here, then they are travelling to another country for a few weeks for an event. He then said he probably wouldn't be able to see me for that duration, which makes me suspicious. I met a couple of his friends, which makes me think this visit is from a woman, or there may be someone else involved. I also suspect because my fortune cards keep telling me the same thing. I am waiting for him to be truthful with me, but we also have a tricky aspect, his Sun conjunct Neptune in Libra is in direct square with my Sun, so I may never know where I stand with him.

It is an early degree in the chart.

I am Mercury
his is Jupiter (retro and in detriment)

My 3rd house is Libra
His is Mars

Saturn is in my 3rd house. That doesn't look good for recieving the truth, as Saturn is malefic.

Regulus rising, not sure how that is significant to the question. Its a good star, but with a sudden downfall. I experienced that in a job once, I got the job with regulus at the MC, and it was wonderful pay and 'elevated' me to a high position, but suddenly it all went wrong and I left. This star rising makes me suspect that I will suddenly discover the truth about this, that is when it will all go wrong and the downfall comes. I could be wrong though.

Mars in Virgo, ruled by Mercury in Cancer
Moon rules his 5th house and Moon is travelling toward him.

Moon will first square Mars though, which makes me think the answer to my question is "no".

Can anyone help with this chart?

Jupiter is ill placed - Gemini .. when you want truthful person you want to see dignified significator
here you dont. Jupiter conj south node too .. NOt exactly great. i cannot remmeber if venus did conj jupiter before it went retro but if it did, that means he was with a female. that conjunction does not reoccur before venus goes direct at 7 deg.
Neptune on his asce isnt nice either .. it tells us that he could be either lying or hiding something.

moon will trine saturn first. mars leaves 22nd deg when Moon will hit 22nd deg to form a trine with Saturn.

Any royal star on asce within 1 deg orb means that question or a person is dignified

0 asce just means you just got the news and didnt have time to process sort of speak

Venus and Jupiter never conjuncted Jupiter, but they were heading that way. I wonder if Venus is someone he knows in another country, as Venus rules his 9th house and he is travelling with this person who is visiting him. It seems odd that he wouldn't let me meet this person, when he let me meet his friends.

Part of Fortune in the 12th house isn't good looking either.

Ah yes, the Neptune in 7th as you say, isn't good either!

Mercury heads to square with Saturn in 3rd house, that just feels something is up.

And I read somewhere, Venus in his 4th house is a girlfriend! I wonder, if there is a gf, that she knows about me as she is in Mercury's sign. Interesting reception with Venus in Jupiter's terms there, Jupiter in Mercury terms and sign, and Mercury in Jupiter exhaltation.

Venus goes direct before perfection with Jupiter - so it is evasion


Wouldnt suprize me if she does.. reception is there like you said

Well, I think I will bide my time with this and see what he has to say when he gets back. I probably won't see him for a month now as he's going away. I did feel loyal to him before I got this feeling, but now I'm not placing all my eggs in that basket. I'm happy to keep my options open.

Ah yes, I see that could be collection of light. Maybe Mars could be his brother then, Moon then to Saturn, his 11th/12th house ruler. But Moon rules his 5th house. It stikes me as odd that his sibling comes here for a few weeks, when he couldn't get any time off work except for his holiday. He also told me he found out at the last minute. Then they both fly to the other country for the event. I just don't know what is actually going on... perhaps I'm too much of a sleuth!

Also Moon is loosing her light, so maybe I will not find out for the meantime.

Hi - I don't know if you'd like another opinion here, NR, BUT I'm glad you aren't making a final call yet ...
I reckon there's 2 ways of judging these sorts of questions about trust. First is where Moon & mercury signify the querent and 7 ruler signifies him AND second is where Moon & Mercury signify the info NOT the querent and we use the Bonatti/Lilly method.

First way: Venus doesn't join Jupiter and goes Direct, moving away from Jupiter, so she moves away from him (if Venus is taken to some 'someone else'). No affair. No secrets. There's not any reception by Venus of Jupiter and what regard Jupiter has for Venus is only by Term - it's not by Sign or Exaltn = no affair hinted at there, either.

Jupiter is in his Detriment, true, but his final score of dignities is not totally bad - plus he's moving swiftly (always a positive) in his own Face, angular and in 10th no less - not Rx, combust etc.

Certainly Moon is usb moving to combustion but the Moon can signify how you're feeling & when you asked the question, when you were feeling doubtful and therefore disappointed. Also, Fortuna is disposited by the Sun, which is angular - out there in the open - pointing to truth rather than secrets/lies.

The other Bonatti way of looking at T/F is to take strongest of Moon or Mercury - here it's Mercury which symbolises info anyway and Mercury is the only other planet moving swiftly and with twice as much dignity as Jupiter.
The info is not in a cadent house. It's not in a Fixed sign but there are 2 angles with fixed Signs.
Saturn Rx in the 3rd IS a negative but Saturn is exalted after all & joined with fortunate Spica. Mercury aspects by a good trine from a position of strength. Spica is not angular to predicate the sudden downfall you mentioned.

Finally, Jupiter's antiscion is at 28Can with Mercury coming to conjunct with him.

Just wanted to say - I'm glad you're going to wait & see! because I'm inclined to think there's a few too many positives balancing out the negatives here!

Yes, putting it like that, it does look like there is no one else. I was wondering if he was being honest about what he told me about this visit. I think in the back of my mind, I was wondering if there was someone else, but mainly if what he was telling me was the truth. Its a very strange situation as we are just friends really, but someone close as well physically, but platonic, but emotionally attached like a couple. And there is no smiley icon that describes it!

Did you find out if he was telling you the truth or not? (Bit hard to do, I know but ...)
