We're fortunate here in Hawaii to see the entire Venus transit across the Sun, starting at 12:10 pm and concluding at 6:44 pm. Quite a contrast to the 2004 transit when none of it was visible from the islands. There exists powerful correlations between the 2004 and 2012 transit timings, and Hawaii and Captain James Cook.
