Is my Sun conjunct my Ascendant?

My Leo Sun appears to be conjunct my AC but the orb size is 8°51. Is that enough for the conjunction to count?

Re: Is my Sun conjunct my Ascendant?

i would count it as a wide orb, but considering your sun is in leo, and your ascendant is in cancer, i'd say 'no' in this case.

Re: Is my Sun conjunct my Ascendant?

Many of us would consider the Sun to be beyond orb of conjunction (many of us consider about 7 or 8 degrees the Sun's orb) with the ascending degree; others, following the Traditionalist outlook, would say they are not conjunct because they are in different signs (so, according to Traditionalist-and Hellenist-doctrines, they cannot be conjunct)

Because of the orb factor I would not consider the Sun to be conjunct the ascending degree in this chart.
HOWEVER, check the declination of the Sun against the declination of the ascending degree: regardless of sign, if they are within 1.5 degrees of each other (either both North or both South) then they are in Parallel of declination, which gives the the same effect as does a strong conjunction in longitude.
