My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

My super interesting and weird natal chart

Please help me out in interpreting this. I'm a total noob.

I'd like to know what my calling in life is.
I'll tell you more if I get some feedback.

Thanks!

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

It is interesting. This is a "bundle" or "wedge" pattern chart with all planets within 120 degrees. This is interpreted as "With such a concentration of energies in the same area, the native is likely to be a specialist in the fields indicated by the house(s) that are most tenanted by the bundle, and according to the usual interpretation criteria."

All your planets are in the 5th (fun, play, creativity, hobbies, interests, creativity, children, romance, etc) and 6th (work, service, health, employers) except mercury conjunct the descendent and in the 7th. So your interests are likely to revolve around the significations of these houses. You have sun neptune conjunct which could make you an idealist, spiritual and artistic - but be careful not to let others take you for a ride. There are also many sextile aspects - sun-pluto, saturn-mercury, mars-jupiter which are helpful.

"As a Wedge you have great personal magnetism, drawing others to you and integrating them into your world."

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

Thanks for some interesting comments Carris. I am definitely focused, or rather I have a complete inability to focus on more than one project at the time. This can be very irritating, because I have a ton of ideas and project I want to complete. My inability to chose one of them and stick to it seems to stop me.

I have recently graduated with a masters degree, but I am far from sure if I want to continue in that line of work. (finance) My interests are much more aligned towards the eternal, philosophical and perhaps spiritual. (At least right now..) Some other time they might be more toward the political and I will spend my every waking hour learning about different political theories. Then it shifts to some other field I can immerse myself in, deeply. I actually enjoy this cycle, but its not very easy to figure out how to direct it into a meaningful vocation (that pays). All I know now is that I'm a bit stuck, so any more comments would be much appreciated.

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

From http://www.myastrologybook.com/wedge...-astrology.htm :

"This is the least commonly found of all planetary patterns except for the grand cross. In any Wedge (or chart lacking the T-cross, grand cross or grand trine) the so-called "trigger" needs to be identified. This is the most exact square aspect in the chart. The planets (and their signs and houses) that form the trigger symbolize that person's drive and motivation. If one end of the trigger is the cutting planet, that person is all the more forceful and dynamic."

How do I identify "the most exact square aspect in the chart"?

It's the one where the two planets involved are closest to being exactly 90 degrees apart. In your case that looks like Sun square Moon to me.

Thanks! So, the Moon in that formation being a cutting planet, I should be "forceful and dynamic". Also, the moon is my trigger.

What does it mean that the moon is my trigger? That I'm triggered by nurturance? Triggered by my mother . HA!

The moon happens to be ruled by cancer which is my ascending zodiac too.

Thats the sun-neptune conjunction which wants spirituality. But finance can be perfect for you with your stellium in the 5th house (which also rules investments). You could be a financial or investment manager for an organization which is involved in some meaningful work - like the world bank or united nations. Mercury conjunct your descendent should make you very good at business and communication.

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

Working for the world bank? Sounds awful.

I need one project to focus all my attention too something fun. Like committing to writing a book or a screenplay or whatever. Making a game. I have a million of these ideas stacked up.

I interpreted the north node as being the hidden aim of all my efforts. The concentrated force of my planets strike in that direction. ( As I have understood the meaning of the bundle pattern) What: north node= direction of future Where: 12th house: the hidden, connection to the universal (occult?) How: Gemini: exploration and curiosity.

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

I would suggest seeing what your chart looks like using whole or equal signs. You have several houses that are REALLY small!!! I have a chart similar to yours, with everything bunched up. In placidus, I have houses 4/5/6 occupied while in whole sign I have 3/4/5/6.

It might help broaden your chart and explain some things better. Or not. I am still not sure which is more accurate but it might help in your case since the first few houses in your chart are sooo tiny (and their opposites of course)

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

With your moon in 5th, and the Gemini 12th north node. I would say that you could get a PhD. And do a variety of economics/political/liberal arts research.

It would have to be something kind of social, technical, philosophical. I would say to build your own track. You can definetly write a book. Probably just search for the big idea.

I'm also in to political science, philosophy, etc. I'm 22, and I have like at least 3 theses already. But its all part of a bigger thing that is unfolding. I utilize self-negation of methodology and topics. You should just write in general.

You can also do art. With the Libra sun you would probably help.

Also, one thing about concentration and then changing paths is actually not a waste. When fields get specialized they tend to slow down and calcify. When something is brought in from another field in to something seemingly incompatible by projecting a certain vision then it is pretty easy to find something. Plus the entire line of thinking could be a useful transient in whatever new topic you are undertaking.

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

MC in Aquarius, Sun in Capricorn, ruler of both (Saturn) in the 5th - hmm, you need a career which requires creativity and original thought but which also requires you to produce something material, tangible, something that can be touched, held, valued in the real world (so not just ideas).

Sun is disposited by Saturn; Saturn in its turn is disposited by Mars, which is in mutual reception with Venus and both in the 5th house. Again, creativity, artistic ability of some kind, but hitched to great energy and enthusiasm - you say you have ideas "stacked up"; this is not surprising with this arrangement. The square between Mars and Mercury suggests, however, that it is not always easy for you to articulate those ideas; sextile to Saturn again suggests that making those ideas a reality (by providing examples, samples, models, drawings etc) is one way forward.

Whatever you decide, Saturn's influence in your chart suggests that success may not come easily or swiftly, but after some serious hard work, patience and persistence. Fortunately, you are up to the challenge, thanks to Sun and Mercury in Capricorn granting you endurance and the ability to focus in your thoughts in order to advance your career.

Good luck

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

There are a number of posts on the site about vocations. you may wish to do a search to look at what others have written in the past.

in parkers astrology book. it states.

cancer rising : cap sun.
the antiques trade/designer/cook/physiotherapist.

I think the last one is interesting - your north node is in gemini in 12th H.so you are a caring soul - you may wish to bring this into your working life later on.

looking at your chart I think you will be lucky at work but you may well change career a few times. Sagi in 6th H with jupiter in there too.

I think you would probably set up on your own - own business what ever you eventually settle on.

finance is a good grounding for setting up your business. my how many people really do not understand finance. so if you do understand finance you have a massive advantage.

good luck.

Re: My super interesting and weird natal chart (Vocation uncertain)

Thanks for some very interesting comments. I have learnt a lot so far.
I still have some scepticism about astrology. (As I have with other more modern forms of alchemy like financial engineering and capital asset pricing models. ) Also my chart was just to weird to be ignored. My curiosity led me to it. I will definitely look into more details about it. (Like I do with most things that capture my attention)

About the artistic side, I actually have an art exhibition coming up. I have a friend who owns a gallery and I started making some pictures for fun. So, now I'm officially an artist. The exhibition is joint with another artist tomorrow. Weird, and unexpected to me that this happened. I was a good drawer when I was a kid...

Again, thanks for all your comments. Perhaps one day I will be able to help some of you guys out in some other field.
