3 Charts - Career Choices

Hi Everyone,

I've been away for awhile, but I thought I would return to the group with my first request for assistance.

I'm in a new place, and in the process of evaluating different types of professional training and business ventures.

There are three horaries attached.

Ayurvedic Doctor - Saturn in the first house is generally a "NO", particularly opposing the ruler of the 1st. This is too bad, because this would be the least expensive option as I would do the training in India. Although I would love someone to make a silk purse of this sow's ear.

Chiropractor - This is where I would like some input and assistance. I started this track a few years ago, but didn't go for it. I'm re-evaluating Chiropractic as a future option and am wondering what you guys see in the chart.

$3 Yoga - I live on the outskirts of a poor area where people are generally unhealthy and under-stimulated. I would like to start a "ghetto" yoga studio at discount prices using newly graduated students from Yoga Teacher Trainings to donate or do for a small fee the classes. I like this chart the most, but am still open to hear any feedback on the chart available.

Here is what I see:

$3 Yoga - Early ASC; they may not be ready for it or the idea is not developed enough.

Chiropractic - Moon, you, applies to a trine of retro Mercury in the 10th which has a nice mutual reception with Mars. Also, a nice mutual reception between Jupiter and Moon which are the main significators but, no real connection or even dwelling houses. Moon applying to Mercury in the 10th is not bad and the fact it is retrograde sort of describes you returning to it.

Ayurveda - Saturn retrograde in the ASC. Your own significator detrimented and applying to oppose Saturn. Something's not right here.

In the Chiropractic chart, Mars seems to be helpful in more ways than one. He helps and strengthens Mercury saving it from being peregrine and abating any possible malice there. Also he trines Jupiter, the main significator of the career, the 10th. I'd say that appears to be the more positive of the three charts.

Interesting point about the early ascendant for $3 dollar Yoga. Both situations are very possibly true.

Chiropractic training is so expensive and time consuming that I'm having some issues accepting it 100%.

Well, it is interesting to me that the other two charts have considerations and the one that doesn't is the one you might not be sure of . All very understandable, though.

Now in the Chiropractic chart Mars does rule the 11th of assistance so, from what you describe, that would make sense.

Perhaps there is something else that is beneath the immediate conscious surface that is prompting all these questions. Perhaps if that could be identified, it would clarify your direction. Just a thought I had since the charts are...well, odd with the considerations and the retrograde planets and all.

Also, if you look at just your own significator in the charts and the houses the Moon is in, it will show you what is going on with you, what your concerns are and what might be prompting the question(s) to begin with.

For example, the Moon is in the 6th in two of the charts making me think you have being of service as a concern. In the Ayurveda chart the Moon in the 7th perhaps suggesting someone else influenced that desision or wanting to find a new home away from home (4th from 4th)....you get the idea.

Very interesting points!

My original background is music, and this would be the first complete break from it as a career, thus the internal conflict. I've tried to leave music before in order to become a massage therapist. I ended up living in a foreign country as a music teacher and performer. Go figure.

(Following is not in accordance with standard horary practice and uses whole sign house format)

$3 Yoga chart: 0 degree ascendant = too early even for me (and I'll delineate as early as 1 degree)-so, I would suggest, re-ask this question at a later time.

Chiropractic chart: I'll use the Lot of Success (LOS) to answer:
-LOS (ascendant+jupiter-part of fortune) falls @ 16 Leo
-in the 2nd house (of $) = + testimony
-lord of the 2nd house (and thus lord of the LOS), ie the Sun, flows toward the LOS = + testimony
-Moon flows away from the LOS = - testimony
-lord of the 10th house (career), Mars, retrogrades toward the LOS = + testimony
-LOS is in an elevated degree of Leo = very strong + testimony
-LOS significator, Sun is in its joy in the 9th whole sign house (+) but is also in a pitted degree of Pisces (-) so this = net neutral testimony

Testimonies for the Chiropractic chart = net +3

Ayurvedic Doctor chart: I'll also use the Lot of Success (LOS) to answer:
-LOS (night formula in this chart = ascendant + part of fortune-jupiter) falls @ 4 Aquarius
-LOS in succedent 5th house (neutral testimony)
-querent (Venus) flows away from the LOS = - testimony (Venus is also in its detriment by sign, albeit is helped by being angular = net neutral for these considerations)
-Moon flows away from the LOS = - testimony
-LOS significator Saturn is in 1st house (+), retorgrade (-) but is in a pitted (blocked) degree of Libra (-) so this all = net - testimony
-lord of the 10th house (career, etc), Moon, is in exaltation (+), but in 8th whole sign house (-) and seperates from the LOS (-) so this all = net - testimony
-lord of the 2nd house ($), Mars, retrogrades away from the LOS and, indeed, from the LOS significator, Saturn = - testimony (note also that Mars is in the 12th whole sign house of the chart)

Testimonies for the Ayurvedic Doctor chart = net -5 testimonies.

Based upon a comparison of the 2 charts using the testimonies connected with the Lot of Success, clearly the Chiropractic Doctor chart comes out ahead.
This chart (Chiropractic Doctor) would need to be compared with the results of a new $3 Yoga chart (using the LOS in that new chart) for a final estimation.
