Will this job be good for me?

So my friend is moving to another city sometime this year and she has recommened me to her employeer. He wants to see me this Friday with a resume. He would want me to work weekend shifts only for about 4 hours, which is pretty good for me since I go to school part time and watch my son during the day.

The only problem is my boyfriend seems to be resistant. He doesn't think it's a good idea because it's minimum wage, not working a lot of hours and he feels like it's a waste of his time to watch our son while I make "pocket change". He also said he would pay me to not work just so he can hang out with me.. We don't live together and hardly get to be a family. Weekends are really the only time we have together but the hours work out perfectly in my opinion! But I just feel like... I'm going to be let down.

So I wonder if this job will be good for me. I think it's a GREAT opportunity and leaves me with some "pocket change" so I can buy myself clothes and SAVE! Which is the smartest thing to do, but when I say "good" I don't mean in a good or bad way, I meant would it be good for me in a way to fit my schedule so that I can actually work there.

So anyway, I am Mars (retrograde.. uh oh does this show me backing out?) the job is Jupiter. They are in an applying trine, both in their co-significators! But I am square with the moon, who is in her joy.

Hmm so what I get is that yes this job IS good for me! (I pretty much knew this....) but the square to the moon from me is a bit discouraging, along with being retrograde. Does this show that despite it being a positive experience for me, it's not "good" in the way that it allows me to work there?

Lilithofeden, why do you use Jupiter as the job significator? 10th house cusp is in Virgo, so the job is signified by Mercury.
Your significators Mars and Moon do not aspect Mercury. Well, actually the Moon will square Mercury before changing signs but it's not within orb and even if it was it shows difficulties and obstacles.

Mars is in Mercury's domicile and exaltation so I believe they do want (or need?) you to work for them. Moreover, Moon is in Mercury's domicile.
Mercury on the other hand is in your triplicity and face so you are not actually that excited!
Also, both your significators are slow whilst Mercury is fast. Definitely they are more eager than you....

To sum up, I don't think it's a very good job opportunity. Of course it's up to you to make the decision.

I used Jupiter because I was going by the 6th house. This is a waitressing job, I get paid under minimum wage actually because waitresses rely on their tips. To start I would just be taking pick up orders over the phone and cleaning tables, packing orders etc. This is a part time job and not a career so I used 6th. I am actually really excited about this job!

Yes this is spot on. I have to rely on him to watch our son.. No one else can and it's not their responsability. There is no point in taking the job if I have to pay for a babysitter... So ultimatley if he won't watch our son I can't go to work.

Hi!
I am using the 10th house for a job. If we had to use it for career only, how many of us would actually be able to? How many of us have a career ?
I would use the sixth house for an employee or a servant (if I was the employer) but not for the job itself.
Hopefully, an astrologer might join in the thread and give us a piece of advice

Yes there seems to be some ambiguity here lol Thank you everyone for your response! I am still going in for the interview just to talk and tell him my issues with the day care and see what I can work out or perhaps ask he just puts my resume on hold. I'll let you guys know how it turns out

Since Mars in Virgo is retrograde and affilicted from both Moon and Sun, you might find this particular job to attract conflict, jealousies, and/or infighting from both supervisors and even co-workers.

Therefore, I would 'pass' on this employer and look for another one that is better suited for you.

Thank you! It makes sense about the co-worker tension... My friend would be the one to train me and she might feel jealous I am taking her weekend shifts or whatever might come up. I'll update later with what was decided upon at the interview

Ok so I went to the interview and he seemed to want to want to hire me and even though the schedule didn't work out for me he was willing to work his schedule around mine (for the time being). The only thing is, I thought it was a cash job which it wasn't, AND it's less than minimum wage because it's a "servers minimum wage" which is $2 less than regular mimimum wage. I think that would not be a problem if I were working good hours which would give me the opportunity to accumilate adequate tips, but he only wanted me twice a week for 8 hours answering phones, packing orders, and learning the tables. There is no tip making in that... so I told him I would think about it and get back to him. I haven't done that yet, but I am telling him that it's not a good fit for me. I feel like I just wasted his time, but it sounded like an amazing opportunity for me at first! Oh well.
