It has been my experience that colouring, i.e. eye colour and hair can be seen in a particular chart by way of picking up from our hereditary pool. Certain rising signs will pick up from the family certain colouring and the aspects from the chart ruler will further indicate that. THe complexion can also be determined in the degree of colour. THe Moon sign can indicate our hereditary traits as well as fourth house planets...

A fire ascendant will almost certainly produce reddish, gold blonde hair if the ancestral background allows for this.

I have strong Libra and have the dark hair and blues eyes as my ruler is Neptune conjunct Venus in Libra....backed up by a Pisces ascendant and a Taurus Moon. It was inevitable..... however as Mars also conjuncts the Venus and Neptune I freckle and have red undertones to my hair and skin....it is unusual with such dark hair but there it is .

With greater knowledge of genetics, and with a wider view of the huge diversity in human beings in terms of race, ethnicity and so on, this view of astrology is outdated, outmoded and inappropriate. It is entirely based on a euro-centric view of the world and of human beings - no matter how much Pisces a Yoruba woman from Nigeria has in their chart, they are highly unlikely to have watery blue eyes, for instance; no matter how strongly emphasised Cancer is in the chart of someone from Somalia, they are not likely to have pale skin and fair hair.

As such, it is offensive and wrong to use astrology in this way, as it excludes whole swathes of the world's population who don't happen to be Caucasian. Not only it is unpleasantly tinged with racism, it is also bogus astrology, and brings disrepute onto the craft.

Of course, the aspects also must be taken into consideration, but the houses are extremely helpful as well. Both houses and aspects should be taken into consideration. Uranian aspects aren't the only ones though, and even if someone only has multiple aspects to Uranus without having any other predisposing factors, that person may not be homosexual.

So you really have to take both houses and aspects into account (preferable Moon, Venus, Neptune aspects with Uranus aspects). With the houses, the 8th and 12th are most important (not really the 5th...definitely not the 7th). With Uranus in the 7th, I think that more refers to instability in any relationship (sudden divorces, separations, etc.). Uranus in the 8th is more of a potent factor for our discussion rather than the 7th.

And the other fixed sign, Leo, leads to masculinity or masculine behavior in women. It does not make them gay or straight however! Please keep that in mind...it affects their behavior. Take my mother, for instance. She's a double Leo (sun and moon conjunction) with a large stellium in the 12th House (which has Leo on its cusp). She is heavily Leonine, and she has a lot of masculine characteristics (loves to work on cars, go drag racing, is very competitive at sports, wears overalls like farmers, etc.), BUT she's perfectly straight!

I'd like a bigger sample size to test this theory on, but it's only a theory! Still in its prescient infancy...

WHICH this leads to some further theorizing: do the fixed signs have something to do with all this gender/sexuality stuff? You have the Taurus/Leo influences I described above. Now how about Aquarius & Scorpio? Aquarius naturally ruled by Uranus (which we know about the Uranus aspects leading to certain sexualities), and Scorpio the taboo sign. I think we have a very sharp pattern here. That astrological quartet most likely has plenty to do with sexuality and sexual orientation.

Yep, I like that introductory clause. It's a good safety net to reassure the client. I'd extend that clause by saying, "it is only my calculated opinion backed by personal observation that..."

False, I never even addressed this whole subject of taurus indicating homossexuality or effeminacy. Read things correctly before commenting.

You made some off-topic comments that I deleted. The thread is about gay indicators in a chart. If you think there are or are not gay indicators in a chart, then you can post in this thread and talk about that. If you bring up topics that are not directly related to the subject then I (or another Moderator) will delete them. This is for the purpose of keeping this very "flammable" subject on subject and the discussion on subject and reasonably civil.

Hello Daek and welcome!
Strong sexual force with all these planets in Scorpio, enhanced by the triangle between Mars and Moon. You have a need to experiment surely and not only as far as sexuality is concerned...
Venus with Neptune there...hmm...atraction to female icons (stars, actresses,singers) but not really getting closer to real life females...
(just my first impression of the chart..)

I was talking more of the the trine aspect but hey, Mars,Venus and the Moon take part in a triangle formation in your chart showing that issues of sexuality and emotional expression are really important to you. The trine between Mars and the Moon is good in order for you to express yourself, sometimes in an extreme powerful way though (let's not forget Uranus in the 1rst house) and it could be more natural for you to make sentimental bonds with males. The inconjunct aspect between Moon and Venus on the other hand shows that it doesn't come natural to express yourself towards females..

Here's my analysis of Da:

I don't think he's purely heterosexual or purely homosexual. I agree that there is a huge element of experimentation suggested in his chart. The venus sextile mars is an excellent aspect to have for attraction to both sexes.
But here's what I think is the more important part of the chart to focus in on: his heavy 11th house in Scorpio placements. Pluto and Mars are BOTH in there, as well as his Sun and Mercury...all in Scorpio.

I will go so far as to suggest that he likes group sexual activity of sorts, whether swingers clubs, bathhouses, or other such venues where the focus is on the group rather than the individual.
