This topic came up in a discussion I'm having about relocating (trying to move my Venus closer to my MC for acting purposes):

I'd like to share part of the interpretation of

, by Robert Hand, which for me is very accurate:
"This aspect indicates that your feelings are very intense, particularly in relationships. It is difficult for you to like someone only a little bit. Either you like a person completely, or you are indifferent or unfriendly to them. And in all your relationships, your feelings are a mixture of love and hate, which can come out as intense anger toward those you love the most, if you have any differences of opinion. However, if you release your anger in an out- and-out fight, you quickly get over it and go back to really liking the other person.
The problem is that you cannot imagine love without hate and conflict, so you will try to bring those two extremes together in your love life. There is nothing especially wrong in that, except that it becomes difficult to have long and deep relationships. Either you or your partner will get tired of the emotional and physical bruises and will leave".
I have been told that I bring an intensity to my acting that is perfect for drama and romance. I think this aspect has really helped me show, through acting, the many dimensions of love and relationships. I don't know where I'd be without it. Cafe astrology offers the following explanation with regard to creativity..."These people are highly creative and generally are driven to express that creativity. Their passion for romance is often channeled into their creative output. For example, challenges in relationships may be a large part of the drive behind their poetry, music, or other art.
In real life, I have to admit that I had problems with this aspect during my teens and early 20's. One bad (intense) love affair after another (probably the T-square??). Not many friends (although this is probably my Saturn in the 11th), or many friends that are "seasonal", but I have always had peaceful, fulfilling relationships with family members. However, once I was introduced to the arts, the tension seemed to subside. I am still intense, but definitely more compromising and understanding than in my youth. It may be that I simply make better decisions nowadays .
Would this aspect be tempered by the fact that both Venus and Mars are in Fixed signs? I ask because it seems that, despite the tension one would expect with this aspect, I have very focused, clear, and defined objectives. I'm not at odds with myself at all. I know exactly what I want (in life and relationships), so I'm wondering if this would minimize conflict? I should also state that, outside of my early romantic relationships, I have absolutely no conflicts with men!
Could this be my
in
? I've noticed a pattern of actually dominating the men in my life, be it friends, co-workers, or associates...
