As am I... and apparently my role has something to do with astrology, as does yours. I suppose you could say I "asked for it," but no more than I asked for many other things. This path seems to be the one I was given. Now that this forum has been sold (and I'm expecting to no longer be welcome quite soon), I plan to prepare to change hosts for my website and create a new astrology forum within a month or so. Perhaps when you and I both have forums we might find occasion to link to specific posts? Given that we tend to work in the same direction by different methods, this would seem to be a good opportunity.

Yeah, we have one anothers e-mails...I think we can accomplish a lot more together than in separation.
I've got my room mate and old buddy, Rick, working on getting my web-Site together. It will be dedicated to Rudhyarian techniques and the use of Sabian Symbols for interpretations. I also want to promote the ideas I have that I illustrate in my thread on 'Runic', the ''Musical Tonality App.", Arabic Parts through Sabian Symbol interp.[although even I vary from all His techs. He liekd to use Campanus, for example. I'm sold on Placidus..for now. The proposal I threw at the research forum and at Michael Earlewine is one that I'm awaiting to see what develops from it.] No other Degree symbols sets allowed...but all other 'methods of technique welcomed to be discussed..as I pointed out, Rudhyar missed the mark on the houses ...I believe.

I truly believe that the emanations of influence originate within our own Sun and need to be understood to determine this matter of House cusps other than the Axis, the axes are not in question here.
I plan on a forum...it could go bigger than what i envision. [I had considered using just a Q and A board...that way it eliminates flame wars and a good deal of trollls. You know; one post and one follow up limit to each on any 'Q'...

I'm planning on using phpBB because it is free, easy to configure, and can be automatically installed from the control panel of many webhosts. I've used older versions years ago and I was pleased then. If the new versions can work the same as the old, I think it will be as good or better than the vBulletin which runs this forum (and is not free). I want full forum functionality, so my choice, based on experience, is pretty easy.

A simple question/answer board would turn out to be more like a well-organised blog (or "Yahoo Answers"). That would be a much more controllable way of doing things, but it's basically the master/apprentice paradigm carried out on a larger scale. It may still work that way, but it would not be a community. It is my thinking that the power of any astrological organisation comes from its community of members, all of which work cooperatively (even if in different areas of study). This allows every individual to add their own work to the community as a whole, strengthening the community in the process. If given the chance to participate as much as they want (like here), new members would be more likely to chime in. The chiming in of new members (especially novices) can often be annoying and repetitive, but provides an opportunity for more educated members to straighten out any misunderstandings. If users can always be treated as opportunities instead of problems, then the community is the stronger way to go.

I agree that all forces within this solar system channel through the Sun and it is from there that we receive these forces. This reflects the channels within the human body which work in the same way and (if one is to believe Cayce) are actually "connected" to the planets, realms, and radiations of a given frequency (this [attunement; sharing of frequency] being the way that a planet can represent a place, a force, a trait of personality, and a personal relationship all at the same time).

Also, Campanus is just a minor adjustment to Placidus, isn't it? As I recall, the degrees turn out to be identical unless you're calculating extreme latitudes.
