Strength of Saturn in traditional astrology
My Saturn is VERY strong in my chart(modern). Is it strong traditionally???
I have 3 Parallels with Saturn by the way:Saturn with Asc(from the chart you can see I also have conjunction so thats enhanced);with Sun and Pluto(even though this one doesn't count in traditional astrology). So I actually have 2 Parallels. Please help me.I tried to calculate it myself and it seemed strong.According to William Lilly. But if I add the Parallels(which Lilly praised!) would my Saturn be very strong?I ve been told Mars and Venus would be the strongest in tradit.astrology but what about Saturn???
I d really be very grateful if you could help me.

Re: Strength of Saturn in traditional astrology
Mars is the strongest planet in your chart by Essential Dignity - but not a Final Dispositor.
You have a multiple (NOT mutual) reception amongst Venus, Jupiter, and the Sun - so there can't be a Final Dispositor.
Mars is strongest, but depending on the area you are dealing with, issues could get caught in the Venus/Jupiter/Sun circuit. I think of Venus/Jupiter/Sun configurations as "Pie in the Sky" unless one can use action (Mars) and discipline (Saturn) to give energy and structure.

Re: Strength of Saturn in traditional astrology
Frank, my finally dispositor is Mars in my 12th house. That means Mars and his aspects, house and sign is the most powerful in my chart? So, i will always turn in me my fights.

No. Even if Mars is a Final Dispositor, one must look at the entire chart - not one factor alone.

Saturn is retrograde (going backwards) and conj Asc but well aspected. You need to post your parallel chart from astro.com
parallel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrological_aspect#Declinations
http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/parallels.htm
http://en.mimi.hu/astrology/contraparallel.html
http://www2.bitstream.net/~bunlion/bpi/Glossary3.html
http://www.cafeastrology.com/natal/declinationsparallels.html
http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum...ad.php?t=40285
http://www.librarising.com/astrology...clination.html
http://www.myastrologybook.com/aspects-and-orbs.htm
http://www.solsticepoint.com/1declination.htm
“PARALLEL: Two or more planets that are equal distant from the celestial equator, with each stellar body being either north OR south in declination. The influence is much like a conjunction”
http://astrology.findyourfate.com/
Contraparallel :
An aspect formed when two planets are in opposite declination, that is, when they are the same distance from the celestial equator, one north of it and one south. Generally considered to operate like an opposition.
http://www2.bitstream.net/~bunlion/bpi/Glossary.html#C
“CONTRA-PARALLEL: Two or more planets that are equal distant from the celestial equator, with one stellar body being north in declination and the other body being south. The influence is considered to be much like a opposition, although some consider similar to the conjunction.”
http://astrology.findyourfate.com/
You can get these free from astro.com when you get your chart go to top left just above chart, see option. What to look for are when there is no aspect natally but a parallel in declination
View the additional tables (PDF)
I tend to discount the natal aspects and look for planets that don't have any aspect natally, thereby you can see this new connection as an additional aspect...

Frank, I have been wondering how multiple reception works? For example, Venus in Virgo partile trine Mars in Capricorn, both trine Saturn in Taurus. Mars ruled/disposited by Saturn in turn ruled by Venus...but Venus is in fall in Virgo. Does this ultimately set Venus as the key planet in the trine? Or would it pull Mercury into the mix...?

Re: Strength of Saturn in traditional astrology
In scorpiogirl's chart, isn't Venus almost as strong as Saturn? Saturn is in sect, angular, but unable to see (inconjunct) its ruler....Venus is exalted (almost to the degree) angular, and applying to a trine with its ruler, but out of sect? Mars is strong, but not angular...dignified or not, perhaps Saturn and Venus are the two planets most able to "act" in the chart?

You re right actually! My Almutem is Saturn and Lord of Geniture(LoG)is Venus!!
Saturn is the ruler of the chart(Almutem/guardian in the life)and most dignified(working together with Saturn)is Venus.
Thanks btw for trying to figure this out!
