Smile Aspiring Astrologer stuck in Finance with a spice of Psychology

Hello all,

I am happy I found a place where all lovers of astrology and all things metaphysics meet. I still consider myself as a novice in astrology, but am learning a lot this year and look forward to accelerate my learning through you all in this forum

Here is my situation in a nutshell:

I'm 23 and my entire life I have always felt a strong connection to the spirit world; however, for some reason, I have avoided and ignored it. The past 3 years have been a tumultuous ride in my life: I delayed graduating college and even took a year off to find myself. During the year off, I dropped my religion as a Catholic and now consider myself as a Spiritual Humanist. I also experienced life in different shoes (experimented with drugs, alcohol, etc. while studying world religions, being one with nature, and meditating). Today, I sense a calling to enhance my spiritual senses, but I continue to fight it and doubt it.

I feel that I am coming more into terms with it and have learned to trust it more, but for some reason feel that the time still isn't right because I am trying to focus on my career in Finance; however, I feel much change is coming next year that may deter me from really going into a career in this field (my spiritual sense tell me we may experience another major bear market or recession worse than 2008). I am graduating this coming May, but still continue to feel strife as to what I really want to become (full-time astrologer, financier, or a therapist)... this past year, I have been experimenting with sex (long story short: I tend to "experiment" myself to challenge the human emotion in order to gain more enlightenment on what we are capable of doing--emotionally and, most of all, psychologically).

Finance, astrology, and psychology are three slightly different worlds. And now find myself trying to come up with a systematic way to combine astrology to predict the future through financial analysis, while having psychology in mind to try to understand human behavior. My ultimate goal is to help humanity better understand ourselves, so that we can learn how to really use LOVE as a tool to enhance society and the world we live in (when I learned about the MC earlier this year and found out that mine is in Aquarius, the sign of Humanitarianism--I was happy and felt a big sigh of relief).

I probably sound like a hot-mess, which is something I'd like to get opinion from you all through reading my chart.. Also, when I found the planets in my 2nd house opposing the planets in my 8th house, I was so happy to finally see that it's "not me"; that my struggle with the material world and the spiritual world are found in my birth chart.

Thank you in advance for your time. I look forward to read what you find! Oh side note: What type is my chart? I'm having difficulty diagnosing it as a Splay or See Saw, I am thinking a Splay.

P.S. I am a very loving, understanding, and resilient person. For some reason I have always been this way since I was a child. My mind is very active and agile and sometimes drives me to feel emotionally explosive, but in general my demeanor is very calming, soothing, and very zen-like. You can imagine what kind of inner struggle I deal with sometimes.

Re: Aspiring Astrologer stuck in Finance with a spice of Psychology

May someone please shed some light on my chart?

I'm going through another difficult period in my life right now. More so, it started mid-October and really worsened this past week. I'm feeling very dire and dark. I'm wondering if there is something in astrology that can offer an explanation, maybe through transiting charts comparing my natal chart with that of the past new moon or something.

Or is there something in my chart that explains why I've always had a difficult time in my life; always having these secret feelings of despair, sadness, depression--like I'm fighting hard to persevere and overcome it, but seem to fall back down again in defeat.

I would say see-saw with the majority being oppositions. YOu also have a talent triangle with Neptune as apex...

What is noticeable is your moon/jupiter are the only aspects these two have, moon is exalted in taurus and conj Asc, which gives the emotions an outlet.
You have 6retrogrades ie: planets going backwards. the most important are venus and mercury,....

Mercury Retrograde
* reconsiders before speaking
* lots of inner conversation and thoughts
* expresses self better in writing
* feels misunderstood
Venus Retrograde
* reconsiders before expressing love or affection
* relates awkwardly to others
* doubts the love others offer
* can become obsessed in relationships
* feels let down by the commitment level of others

having three planets in 8th house of 'other people's money' could be tough..
Saturn in the 8th house
· Strong sensuality needs restraining. Lesson to learn where sex attitudes and appetites are concerned. Attitudes to sex are serious and can be inhibited. Too much or too little is out of balance.
· Person has a long life due to Saturn's staying power.
· Partner's money can cause distress if Saturn is afflicted.
· Financial difficulties in partnerships, whether business or marital.
· There is often a deep interest in occult mysteries.
· These people are usually responsible with money, but need to take care of investments.
· Normally not inherit, but if did, would become a "yoke" around your shoulders, and probably more trouble than it is worth.
Neptune in8th House – succeedent house
Psychic tendencies, often manifested in spiritualism and clairvoyance. Unusual secret circumstances may surround partners money ‑ insurance, taxes, and inheritance.
Ideal attitude to partner of how they want to share money, body (including sex), resources (shared money) and values, being the opposite of 2nd house. May never know how much their partners earn! Want a lot of romance in sex life, and to have all the trimmings with good aspects. Easily swept off their feet by knight in shining armour syndrome. Can even wear the rose‑tinted glasses here, because you will think they were worth it. Bad aspects cause disillusionment, even so ‑ would have been worth the price! May marry a wanderer.
May have spiritual ‑ psychic abilities, whether recognised or not!
Uranus in 8th House – succeedent house
· You will be concerned with life’s mysteries, ie; Astrology ‑ Spiritualism etc.
· You could have sudden changes of fortunes, through partnerships or inheritance.
· It will not be easy to settle down to a hum‑drum marital routine.
· Unstable joint finances.
· Could stop conception. Sexual impulses need controlling (all or nothing) or possible unusual/kinky sex
· Very strong psychic feeling as well as keen intuition.
· Unexpected and sudden upsets where deaths are concerned.
· Difficulties in inheritances but if well aspected could mean an unexpected windfall.
· By experiencing others "turning upon them," they can endure intense states of psychological abuse that can appear sadistic. The abuse dynamic linked with violations of trust can also include sexual abuse in a variety of ways. The sudden loss linked with partnerships wherein a merging of resources and realities had occurred can create fundamental psychological trauma that impacts on their ability to trust ever again

So knowing all this additional information is great, but it's not going to change your life. YOu are the captain of your ship and you have free will.....

Well yes, astrology can explain everything, so you have come to the right place to learn. You can get a free six month transit forecaste on astro.com in 'short report' done by famous astrologer Robert Hand...

Or you can post your natal chart with progressions and transits for us to evaluate.... I can't see any major transit thoug, just looking briefly.

Astrology can explain lots of things, especially regarding your personality, traits etc but it's entirely upto YOU to make changes in your life, you are the captin of your ship no-one else. Knowing astrology is not going to change you or do this for you! We all have to go through rough transits, to learn and to grow as a person, so in that regard you are no different...

Re: Aspiring Astrologer stuck in Finance with a spice of Psychology

Thank you, Astrologer 50.

Thanks for pointing out the talent triangle and I also paid more attention on the Jupiter and Moon conjunction. Definitely, I am emotionally sensitive as well as empathetic to other people's feelings. The Venus in retrograde characteristics also very well match how I am naturally when I was in love. In my experience so far, everything that is laid out in my chart are very well on point. I think they do point out our thoughts, psyche, and how we feel naturally when left unchecked, but with the help of developing our self awareness and "working on ourselves" (by that I mean constantly doing introspective work to challenge how we live and what our natural thoughts/behaviors are), we can change and mold our own destinies.

You are correct in that we are our own masters of our lives and make the most out of it through the decisions we make. I have found that through meditation and concentrating on the breathe, it enables us to achieve clearer thoughts and be much more emotionally grounded... while it is still a process.

Life is a journey and I think astrology can offer a "heads up" to the many different potentials and paths we can take.

Going through the links and reading some more, I think my Saturn Return will be an interesting one (as are all of ours).
